AB - Landraces of durum wheat (Triticum turgidum subsp. durum), were the main
cereals of Montenegro until the mid-20th century, where they were
collectively recognized as Rogosija. After the Second World War, the
introduction of high-yielding common wheat cultivars threatened the
survival of Rogosija landraces, that were almost extinct in farmers’
fields. Starting from 1955, sampling of durum wheat accessions in
Montenegrin regions allowed the conservation of a Rogosija durum collection
in the Montenegro Plant Gene Bank. This assortment represents an unexplored
durum wheat germplasm that can be analyzed for the identification of
valuable alleles, useful to increase the wheat crop adaptability to climate
change. Aims of this study were: i) to estimate the genetic diversity andpopulation structure of the Rogosija collection using SNP markers; ii) to
investigate correlation between genetic clusters and the Montenegro ecogeographic conditions. The collection was analyzed with a high-throughput
genotyping system based on the 25K Illumina SNP wheat array. A total of
6,915 high-quality SNPs were retained and mapped on the durum genome.
Principal components and phylogenetic analyses discriminated two different
genetic durum clusters. Analysis of molecular variance revealed that 16% of
the total variation was due to differences among the genetic clusters,
whereas the remaining variance occurred within clusters. To estimate
whether the genetic clusters detected are related to Montenegrin ecogeographic regions, the durum accessions were geo-referenced and evaluated
according to ecological data of the collecting sites. Interestingly, one
genetic cluster included samples located around Lake Skadar, while the
second genetic cluster comprised accession sampled in the Montenegrin
littoral coast. This result suggests that the Rogosija durum collection
stored in the Montenegro Plant Gene Bank enclosed two Rogosija durum
populations, evolved in two different eco-geographic micro-areas.

AB - Durum wheat landraces represent a genetic resource for the identification and isolation of new valuable genes and alleles, useful to increase the crop adaptability to climate change. Several durum wheat landraces, all denominated “Rogosija”, were extensively cultivated in the Western Balkan Peninsula until the first half of the 20th century. Within the conservation program of the Montenegro Plant Gene Bank, these landraces were collected, but without being characterized. The main goal of this study was to estimate the genetic diversity of the “Rogosija collection” consisting of 89 durum accessions, using 17 morphological descriptors and the 25K Illumina single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array. The genetic structure analysis of the Rogosija collection showed two distinguished clusters localized in two different Montenegro eco-geographic micro-areas, characterized by continental Mediterranean climate and maritime Mediterranean climate. Data suggest that these clusters could be composed of two different Balkan durum landrace collections evolved in two different eco-geographic micro-areas. Moreover, the origin of Balkan durum landraces is discussed.

AB - Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) is a member of family Chenopodiaceae. It is a crop of area of temperate climate and second of world importance sugar crop, after sugar cane (Saccharum officinarum L.). It is mainly produced in Europe and to a lesser extent in Asia and North America. Sugar beet quality is a complex trait conditioned by genetic divergence among cultivars and environmental diverse in the region of growing. One of pertinent agro-technical measures is sowing. Proper sowing (which is during March in the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro) ensures optimal crop density which is important for reaching a high yield. The correct choice of assortment for a certain production area contributes to a larger and more stable production of cultivated plants. A significant measure of growing technology is properly balanced plant nutrients. NPK mineral nutrients are the main carriers of yield value. Sugar beet yields are significantly reduced by lack of soil nutrients. The main nutrient elements—nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium—have major importance in plant nutrition and the greatest impact on increased technological and yield value of root. Ratio of mentioned nutrients and also the secondary and microelements should suit to the needs of plants and to the natural soil fertility. Yield of crystal sugar, as major production value indicator, has statistically very significant dependence of way of plant nutrition, years, genotype, and their mutual interaction. Intensification of plants nutrition with NPK fertilizers significantly increases the total vegetative biomass yield and root sugar content.

AB - Tetraploid wheat has been the most important cereal in Montenegro until the green revolution and
the introduction of elite common wheat cultivars. Realizing the risk of losing these populations,
at the Agricultural institute in Podgorica activities on the collection and conservation of these
populations were initiated. The entire population of tetraploid wheat of 89 samples is today
stored in the plant gene gene bank of Montenegro. In order to assess the diversity of these
populations, an assessment using UPOV morphological markers was performed in 2020. Five
monogenetic traits were included in the analysis: type of plant growth, time of ear emergence
(major genes controlling this trait are photoperiod sensitivity - ppd genes), ear glaucosity, plant
height (major genes controlling plant height are reduced height - rht genes), the length of
the ears without awns, the presence of awns and the seasonal type of plants (major genes
vernalization - vrn). Multiple correspondence analyses showed that there were no signicant
dierences between these populations. Moreover, dimensions one and two explained only
9.6 and 7.8%, of the total variation, respectively, which indicates the common origin of the
population.

AB - Mental illness affects millions of people around the world. Anxiety disorders are one of the most common mental disorders, occurring in 16.6% of the population around the world. Anxiety (anxietas-worry, fear, uneasiness) is a specific psychic state, characterized by an excessive manifestation of emotionality. It occurs under the influence of stress, which in interaction with the genetically innate level of emotional activity and reactivity, causes excessive manifestation of emotionality, which is manifested by excessive changes in the behavior and activation of the autonomic nervous system (dilation of pupils, tachycardia, sweating of the palms, respiratory disorder, GIT disorders, etc.). In mild and reversible forms of anxiety disorders, anxiety can be stimulating and productive. However, in strong forms, anxiety can hinder normal human activity for a long time, which requires therapy. In addition to pharmacological therapy, many herbal medicines have shown efficacy in the treatment of anxiety disorders, as therapeutic agents or in addition to therapy, which is confirmed by numerous scientific studies. Herbal preparations of Passiflora incarnata, Kava-Kava, St. John’s wort, valerian, chamomile, lemon balm, lavender are used for centuries in traditional medicine due to sedative effect and positive mood impact. Studies proving the usefulness of these herbal remedies and their extracts in the treatment of anxiety disorders have been gaining importance over the past several decades.

AB - The objectives of this study were to investigate: (1) the effects of fertilization, environment, and their interactions on the thousand grain weight (TGW), hectolitre weight (HW) and grain yield (GY) of winter triticale, and (2) the correlations between these traits in different environments. The invariable nitrogen (80 kg N ha(-1)), potassium (60 kg K2O ha(-1)) and two phosphorus (60 and 100 kg P(2)O(5)ha(-1)) doses were used in Kragujevac location in central Serbia. Nitrogen was applied individually and in combination with two phosphorus rates and one rate of potassium fertilizer. Eight fertilization treatment controls and N-80, P-60, P-100, N80P60K60, N80P100K60, N(80)P(60)and N(80)P(100)were examined during three growing seasons. The yield and quality of triticale significantly varied across years and treatments. The average yield of all treatments in the 2015 growing season was significantly greater than in the previous years (3.597 t ha(-1)). Combined usage of NPK fertilizer (80 kg N ha(-1), 100 kg P(2)O(5)ha(-1)and 60 kg K2O ha(-1)) represented the excellent base for optimum supply of major nutrients, resulting in maximum GY (4.0 t ha(-1)). Negative and significant correlation was found between grain GY and TGW (-0.392*) in 2015, and positive highly significant correlation were in 2013 (0.648*) and 2014 (0.493*). The positive effect over complete application of fertilizer is the result of a lower pH value of the soil, as well as the low content of available phosphorus and potassium in Vertisol soil type. Optimizing fertilization for maximum profitability is of great importance in the future triticale production in Pannonian Environments.

AB - Biodiesel and biogas are especially important sources of renewable energy in the world and in Serbia. Biodiesel is used as transportation fuel; biogas is used for production of electricity and heat. Soybean (Glycine max L.) grain is the primary source of vegetable protein for food and feed supplements, also accounts for much of the world's bio-oil supply. Due to the development of new technologies for processing agricultural waste into energy, the rate of increase in the use of alternative fuels is significantly increasing. The aim of this study was to determine the productivity of soybeans and the possibility of obtaining biogas from soybeans in divergent years, 2017-2019. Main effects were monitored, genotypes (G), years (Y) and genotype by years interaction effects (G x Y) and were used for evaluation of soybean genotypes in different environments. Soybean varieties were tested for mass of 1000 grain (MTG), plant height (PH), grain yields (GY) and biogas yield (BY). Stability of grain and biogas yield was determined to select best genotype. Results showed that genotype and years had a significant impact on all measured variables. In all tested years, the biggest GY and BY were at genotypes G1 (2.40-4.49 t ha(-1), and 461.00-641.00 m(3) ha(-1), respectively) and G3 (1.97-4.30 t ha(-1); i.e. 447.67-620.00 m(3) ha(-1)). Genotype G2 had statistically significantly lower values for all tested parameters compared to other tested genotypes. Correlation analysis of some chosen traits showed different interdependence between measured variables depending on the year conditions. The results of this study pointed out that among best genotypes for production of grain and biogas were G1 and G3. From the results of this study it can be concluded that G x Y trials are important for evaluation of stability and choosing the most stable genotypes of soybean.

AB - Climatic extremes demonstrated that agriculture is sensitive to climate change. Climate changes shifting climate variables: temperature, precipitation, humidity, evaporation, sunlight, wind speed, etc. Climatic change has created challenges for the agricultural sector and added pressure on global agricultural and food systems. On many crops there are negative impacts from extreme weather as droughts, floods, higher temperatures and season shifts that climate change brings. Rising temperatures and water stress have already led to lower crop yields for maize, wheat, soybean, sunflower, buckwheat, millet, flax, potato, phacelia and other crops which typically relies on precipitation instead of irrigation. The rising temperature has adverse effect on flowering and leads to pests and disease buildup. Flood and excess rain over a short duration of time cause extensive damage to crops. For one country a decrease yields bring a high decline in production and therefore reducing the budget i.e. economic weakening. Climate change therefore threatens global food supply as certain crops become more expensive due to a decrease in production and supply. In such situations, should be introduced into production alternative crops like sorghum and millet, which can be grow at conditions where the dry season prevails during the crop vegetation. The agriculture also has to take place and in adverse climatic conditions and produce enough food by sowing tolerant varieties in changed environmental conditions.

AB - Phenology of small cereals as a complex trait, which provides matching plant development with growing conditions, is important factor that influence plant adaptation to particular environment and finally yield. Scales of growth based on plant phenology and scales of development based on apical morphology are very precise, but relationships between them are not always clear. Some morphogenetic features of cereals growth can be predicted on the basis of leaf appearance. That means shoot apex development is coordinated with leaf appearance and total number of formed leaves. The objective of this research was to study relationships among apical development and plant phenology and the variability in phenological development of diverse winter barley cultivars under field conditions. The twelve barley cultivars differed in origin, pedigree and agronomic traits were used in this study over six growing seasons at the Novi Sad location (45o20’N, 15o51’E, altitude 86 m) and under rainfed conditions.

AB - Leaf emergence represents externally visible trait that is results of externally not
visible leaf primordial initiation. Final leaf number initiated in the apex and the rate
of leaf emergence determine of pre-anthesis phases. The aim of this study was to
determine the effect of year and cultivars on final leaf number (FLN) in winter
barley. In the present study no consistent differences were found in the FLN
between 6-rowed and 2- rowed cultivars. FLN differs among barley varieties sown
in the field at different years and was controlled by all three factors; cultivar, year
and their interaction. Contribution of year in FLN variation was highest, about
74%. This can be explained as a direct effect of the year on the rate of leaf
appearance or as an indirect effect of an ontogenetic decline in the rate of
appearance. Low value of interaction showed stability of leaf number from year to
year. Considered across the growing seasons (GSs), the early cultivar Novosadski
581 had the lowest (11.3) and the late cultivar Kredit the highest (14.7) FLN. In
average the early cultivars had one leaf less than the late ones. Earliness is rather
the result of leaf number reduction than grain filling reduction.

AB - Potato was introduced in Montenegro in the late 18th century. Over the course of more than 230 years of cultivation, potatoes in these areas have been differentiated into a large number of forms of different lengths of vegetation. The cultivation of local potato varieties lasted until the 1970s when massive introduction of new high-productive selections began. Right at that time, work on the conservation of these resources begins. The most important measures for their conservation were made in the period from 2008 to 2010, when 52 local populations of potatoes were collected from more than 150 sites. In order to get a clear estimate of the value of this collection, but also to identify duplicates, a program of characterization and evaluation began in 2016. The morphological characterization of the sprout was made on the basis of the UPOV descriptor for the 11 characteristics of the sprout. Sixteen different phenotypes were identified. Morphological examination selected 23 samples for DNA analysis.

vazdušno suvim stablima i obračunat prinos stabala.
celuloze u suvim stablima.
AB - The results of three-year plot trials are part of several years of
research started in 2012 in the field of Surduk. The subject of the research is a mischantus, a clone imported from Germany for introduction to energy crops production. The plantation has been formed on chernozem, which belongs to the category of the most fertile soils. In period 2016-2018 were two variants – control and variant with nitrogen top dressing. During the annual life cycle, the dynamics of plant growth are monitored by measuring morphological indicators in phenophases most important for the formation of dry stalks yields. After harvest during the winter, the content of water and cellulose in dry stalks were determined and the calculated yield of stalks. The obtained values of the morphological indicators and
the yield were compared with the years of research in order to determine the effect of meteorological factors on the annual increase in the miscanthus. The results show that miscanthus grows well in fertile soil giving a high yield of dry stalks. The miskantus is tolerant of summer drought because it has a well
developed root system. In the period April-October 2016-2018 there was less precipitation than the needs of plants, but the month schedule was most favorable in 2018. In the three-year average, nitrogen storage significantly increased the yield of dry stalks, but the effect of top dressing was the highest in the year with the highest rainfall. The studied treatments did not affect the cellulose content in dry stalks.

AB - The paper presents the results of the application of two organic pelleted fertilizers Chap Liquid and Biofert, in granular form and as an aqueous solution, to more important characteristics of rosemary breeds. Significantly higher average stem height had plants of rosemary fertilized with Biofert aqueous solution (33.57 cm), compared to plants on variants with the application of aqueous solution Chap Liquid and non-fertilized variants (27.27 and 27.37 cm, respectively). The largest mass of the above-ground part of the plant was recorded also on the variant with Biofert (32.53 g), while the smallest was measured on the non-fertilized variant (14.10 g). A significant influence on the increase of the above-ground mass showed a variant of fertilization with Chap Liquid solution (22.22 g). A significantly higher root mass was determined on variants with the application of the aqueous solution of Chap Liquid and Biofert, as well as Chap Liquid pellets (41.70, 39.53 and 38.73 g, respectively), relative to the root mass of rosemary plants on non-fertilized variants (31.27 g).

AB - This paper presents results of study of the influence of 4 different organic fertilizers
(Chap liquid, Biofert, Guano and Stallatico jolly) on some of the most important
productive traits of lavender seedlings. All fertilizers were applied once, except Chap
Liquid which was applied twice. Two control variants were included in the
experiment: one that was not fertilized and the other one where the organic-mineral
fertilizer Sapro elixir was applied. The studies of influence of organic fertilizers at
the height of the stems, weight of the above ground part and the mass of roots of the
lavender seedlings was done in greenhouse. The highest average height of lavender
seedlings was measured on a control variant fertilized with organo-mineral fertilizer
Sapro elixir (25.5 cm) as well as variants where Chap fluid was applied twice - 24.8
cm and variant Biofert - 24.6 cm. Plants with the lowest stem height were measured
on non fertilized control - 19.6 cm. All variants where organic fertilizer was applied
had statistically significantly higher stem compared to plants grown in non fertilized
control. In the Biofert variant was measured the largest average weight of the above
ground part of the plant - 22.9 g, while the lowest was in non-fertilized control - 12.1
g. The average weight of the above ground part of the plant treated with organic
fertilizers was significantly higher than in non fertilized control. The weight of the
above ground part of the plant of lavender seedlings fertilized with Biofert was
statistically higher than all other fertilized variants, but also higher than control
variants fertilized with organo-mineral fertilizer.

AB - The cultivar Biserka, in the experiment carried out in 2018, in the experimental field of Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, in Bački Petrovac, has achieved excellent agronomic characteristics. Stems of cultivar Biserka was light green, erect, sometimes branched at the base, and grow 0.9–1.3 m tall. Leaves alternate along the stem were covered with short hair and arching leaves may reach and over 30 cm length. Plants have shallow, fibrous root systems and produce few tillers. Cultivar Biserka has a drooping branched compact inflorescence 20–30 cm long made of many stalked, ovoid spikelet and reproduces by seeds yellow color, 2.5–3 mm long. Analysis of variance was found highly significant effect of nutrition in all tested characters. Foliar nutrition had the most highly significant influence on plant height. Investigation where showed a considerable variation of biomass yield which was independence from foliar nutrition.

AB - The wheat cultivar used in the experiment was Kruna. This investigation included an untreated seven variants of fertilization: 1-control, 2-80 kg/ha N, 3-60 kg/ha P2O5, 4-80 kg/ha N, 60 kg/ha P2O5, 5-80 kg/ha N, 100 kg/ha K2O, 6-80 kg/ha N, 60 kg/ha P2O5, 60 kg/ha K2O and 7-80 kg/ha N, 100 kg/ha P2O5, 60 kg/ha K2O. Total amounts of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers and half the nitrogen rate are regularly applied during pre-sowing cultivation of soil. The trial was set up in a randomized block design with five replications. The crop was harvested at full maturity. Grain yield (t/ha) was harvested and reported at 14% moisture. Three parameters were analyzed: test weight (kg/hl), 1000-grain weight (g) and grain yield (t/ha). Investigation where showed a considerable variation of grain yield which were in dependence from mineral nutrition. The highest grain yields were the highest with mineral fertilizer in the combined N80P100K60 (4.738 t/ha). Over the two-year period, all investigated treatments of wheat achieved the highest average 1000-grain weight in the combined N80P60 (43.08 g). The highest test weight was the highest with mineral fertilizer in the combined N80P60K60 (73.63 kg/hl). Analysis of variance was found highly significant effect of years on 1000 grains weight.
