AB - Evaluating maize genotypes under different conditions is important for identifying which genotypes combine stability with high yield potential. The aim of this study was to assess stability and the effect of the genotype–environment interaction (GEI) on the grain yield traits of four maize genotypes grown in field trials; one control trial without nitrogen, and three applying different levels of nitrogen (0, 70, 140, and 210 kg ha−1, respectively). Across two growing seasons, both the phenotypic variability and GEI for yield traits over four maize genotypes (P0725, P9889, P9757 and P9074) grown in four different fertilization treatments were studied. The additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) models were used to estimate the GEI. The results revealed that genotype and environmental effects, such as the GEI effect, significantly influenced yield, as well as revealing that maize genotypes responded differently to different conditions and fertilization measures. An analysis of the GEI using the IPCA (interaction principal components) analysis method showed the statistical significance of the first source of variation, IPCA1. As the main component, IPCA1 explained 74.6% of GEI variation in maize yield. Genotype G3, with a mean grain yield of 10.6 t ha−1, was found to be the most stable and adaptable to all environments in both seasons, while genotype G1 was found to be unstable, following its specific adaptation to the environments.

AB - Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) is a member of family Chenopodiaceae. It is a crop of area of temperate climate and second of world importance sugar crop, after sugar cane (Saccharum officinarum L.). It is mainly produced in Europe and to a lesser extent in Asia and North America. Sugar beet quality is a complex trait conditioned by genetic divergence among cultivars and environmental diverse in the region of growing. One of pertinent agro-technical measures is sowing. Proper sowing (which is during March in the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro) ensures optimal crop density which is important for reaching a high yield. The correct choice of assortment for a certain production area contributes to a larger and more stable production of cultivated plants. A significant measure of growing technology is properly balanced plant nutrients. NPK mineral nutrients are the main carriers of yield value. Sugar beet yields are significantly reduced by lack of soil nutrients. The main nutrient elements—nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium—have major importance in plant nutrition and the greatest impact on increased technological and yield value of root. Ratio of mentioned nutrients and also the secondary and microelements should suit to the needs of plants and to the natural soil fertility. Yield of crystal sugar, as major production value indicator, has statistically very significant dependence of way of plant nutrition, years, genotype, and their mutual interaction. Intensification of plants nutrition with NPK fertilizers significantly increases the total vegetative biomass yield and root sugar content.

AB - Management is the process of planning, organizing, motivating (leadership, leadership)
and control in the direction of achieving certain company goals: preventive control - before
work, current control - during work and subsequent control - after work. The basic economic
principles are: productivity, economy and profitability. Effectiveness is a prerequisite for the
successful operation of any organization, because it involves choosing the right goals. By
applying management, sowing the most productive genotypes and respecting all aspects
of cultivation technology, profitable sunflower production will be achieved. The aim of the
study was to evaluate the production and management of sunflower in the five-year period.
Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is the important raw material used to produce oil in the world
and Serbia.Production parameters were analysed: grain yield, area and total production. The
results of the research showed that the growth trend of sunflower areas is evident. The largest
areas under sunflowers, in the world and Serbia were in 2020 (27,874,284 ha; 221,149 ha)
while the highest yields were achieved in 2019 (2.04 t ha-1; 3.32 t ha-1). The trend of growth
of areas in the world and Serbia under these crop in the coming period is predicted. Achieved
yields in 2019 of 3.32 t ha-1 indicate that Serbia, in addition to excellent soil and agro-ecological
conditions, also has excellent domestic high-yielding and stable genotypes, where the top NS
assortment of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops from Novi Sad dominates.

AB - Maize ranks first among worldwide production and an important source of human and animal feed. Its production can be affected by management practices and climatic conditions. The objective of this study was to estimate stability of yield and hundred grains weight of six maize genotypes during two growing seasons at two locations, subjected to four different treatments: T1
treatment—without herbicide, Control; T2 treatment—active substance Nicosulfuron and Motivell commercial preparation; T3 treatment—active substance Rimsulfuron and Tarot; and, T4 treatment—active substance Forasulfuron and Equip. Additive main effects and multiplicative interaction—
AMMI model and genotype × environment interaction—GGE biplot were used to estimate GEI—genotype by environment interaction. The results showed that the influence of genotype (G), year (Y), locality (L), treatment (T) and all interaction on hundred grains weight were significant. The share of genotypes in the total phenotypic variance was 64.70%, while the share in total interaction was 26.88%. The share of IPCA1 in terms of G × T interaction was 50.6%, while share of IPCA2 was 44.74%, which comprised together 94.80% of interaction. The first IPCA1 axis showed high share in the total interaction, which indicates out significance of genotype in total variation and interaction,
while high level of IPCA2 indicates a significant treatment effect. Genotype L-6 had the same mass of 100 grains (37.96 g) during both years of testing, while genotype L-1, with 4.46 g, had the largest difference between years. This clearly indicates the influence of genotype but also stress under the influence of sulfonylureas and environmental factors. The maize genotype with the highest values of hundred grains weight, L-5 and L-6, expressed the highest values of grain yield (4665 kg ha−1 and 4445 kg ha−1).

AB - Broad bean is rich in quality proteins, which is why we use it in the diet of humans and domestic animals. Ripe bean seeds can be used as a stew or ground, and flour mixed with grain flour in a certain percentage is an excellent raw material for making various bakery products. The aim of this study is to point out the benefits of improving broad bean production in the Balkans use of its main and by-products. In addition to the main product, mature grain, there are harvest residues that have multiple applications.
AB - Bob је bogat kvalitetnim proteinima zbog čega ga upotrebljavamo u ishrani ljudi i domaćih životinja.

AB - There are three "golden" oilseeds in the world: soybeans, sunflowers and oil flax. Flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) is an economically important oilseed because seed of flax has an excellent nutritional composition, has a high oil content (40-50%), protein (19-25%), sugar (22-35%) and mineral salts (2-3%). It is also rich in omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins (A, D, E, K, B1,2,3,6,9), minerals (Ca, K, Mg, Mn, Zn, Fe, F, Se) and lignans, which is of great importance in medicine, has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. The aim of this study was to examine the productivity of the variety NS Primus, grown in Novi Sad, on chernozem soil, in the production year 2020. Previous crop was winter wheat. Sowing was done in early March with a sowing rate of 60 kg ha-1. Optimal crop care measures were applied during the vegetation period. The harvest was done in the technological maturity of the crop, on September 15, 2020. The variety “NS Primus” has created excellent performance, the grain yield was 2210 kg ha-1, while the oil yield was 750 kg ha-1. Based on the above, we conclude that the sowing of oil flax “NS Primus”
achieves economically justified production.

AB - The less productive soils present one of the major problems in wheat production. Because of unfavorable conditions, halomorphic soils could be intensively utilized using ameliorative measures and by selecting suitable stress tolerant wheat genotypes. This study examined the responses of ten winter wheat cultivars on stressful conditions of halomorphic soil, solonetz type in Banat, Serbia. The wheat genotypes were grown in field trails of control and treatments with two soil amelioration levels using phosphor gypsum, in amounts of 25 and 50 tha(-1). Across two vegetation seasons, phenotypic variability and genotype by environment interaction (GEI) for yield traits of wheat were studied. The additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) models were used to study the GEI. AMMI analyses revealed significant genotype and environmental effects, as well as GEI effect. Analysis of GEI using the IPCA (Interaction Principal Components) analysis showed a statistical significance of the first two main components, IPCA1 and IPCA2 for yield, which jointly explained 70% of GEI variation. First source of variation IPCA1 explained 41.15% of the GEI for the grain weight per plant and 78.54% for the harvest index. The results revealed that wheat genotypes responded differently to stressful conditions and ameliorative measures.

AB - Buckwheat is an economically important gluten free cereal, and it is a good source of protein, fiber, and energy. The field experiments with buckwheat variety “Novosadska” were set in two experimental years in Pancevo, Serbia. The aim of this study was to determine the most optimal technology for buckwheat production. The study aims were to investigate the effects of (1) row spacing: RS1-25 cm and RS2-50 cm; (2) nutrition variants: (N1) 0 kg ha−1 NPK; (N2) NPK 30 kg ha−1; (N3) NPK 60 kg ha−1; and (N4) NPK 90 kg ha−1; (3) environment: Y1-2018 and Y2-2019; and their interactions on the plant height (PH), number of lateral branches (NoLB), mass of seeds per plant (MSP), number of seeds per plant (NoSP), buckwheat grain yield (GY); and (4) the correlations among these traits. All tested parameters of buckwheat significantly varied across row spacing, environment, and nutrition. The average grain yield in the row spacing, RD1-25 cm, was significantly higher than in the wider spacing, RD2-50 cm, and in 2018 than 2019 as well as with the nutrition NPK applied in the amount of 90 kg ha−1 in relation with all the other nutrition variants. All the studied agronomic traits were positively and strongly correlated with GY.

AB - Safflower belongs to the family Asteraceae. The entire overhead generative and vegetative biomass varieties the latest generations, can be used in a variety of ways. The productivity parameters of two saffron genotypes and were investigated the possibility of their use. The results showed that statistically significant differences in biomass yields were found, mass of 1000 grains and volumetric mass depending on genotype (p<0.05). Average yields were statistically very significantly higher in saffron varieties S-20 (4.43 t / ha) compared to the Nutrasaff variety (4.20 t / ha). Biomass yield was positive statistically highly significant correlation with the mass of 1000 grains (0.94 **) and in a positive statistically significant correlation with volumetric mass (0.67 *). In the conditions of increasingly pronounced global climate changes saffron can become a very important crop

abstract = "Šafranjika pripada porodici glavočika (familia Asteraceae). U uslovima sve više izraženih globalnih klimatskih promena šafranjika može postati vrlo značajna ratarska biljka., Safflower belongs to the family Asteraceae. In the conditions of increasingly pronounced global climate changes saffron can become a very important crop",

AB - This study examined the influence of agroecological conditions on the ontogenesis and production yield traits of black oat (Avena strigosa Schreb.). Understanding the agronomic and phenological properties related to productive properties of black oats can enable more successful introduction into new areas of oat cultivation. Field microexperiments were performed during the three consecutive years (2017-2019) on the two localities in South Banat, in Serbia, which differed in soil type: carbonate chernozem and humogley, respectively. The results showed that all investigated traits of oat in the chernozem soil type were higher when compared with measured traits obtained from the humogley soil type. The average value of yields of aboveground biomass, yield and protein content were significantly higher in relation to the humogley, by 13%, 17% and 11%, respectively for all three seasons. Observed by years, all productivity parameters differed significantly, which confirmed that the productivity of the cultivated plants was strongly influenced by different agroecological, soil and climatic conditions in Pannonian environments. The aboveground biomass and grain yield obtained from the humogley soil type indicate that this species can be successfully grown and utilized in production as a cover or fodder crop even in less favorable soil conditions.

AB - The properties of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) and their use have been shown as prominent for application in agriculture since it can bring certain benefits in agricultural production. The objective of this study was to estimate the impact of seed priming with ZnO NPs on yield components, plant height and spike length on wheat. In order to estimate the effects of ZnO nanoparticles on yield component, four winter wheat genotypes namely, NS Pobeda, NS Futura, NS 40S and NK Ingenio were selected. Seeds of each wheat genotypes were primed with different concentrations of ZnO NPs (0, 10, 100 and 1000 mg l-1) for 48 h in dark box by continuous aeration. Primed seeds were after sown in soil pots with 60-70% moisture contents during the till maturity. Considerable improvement was observed in plant height and spike length which increased with rates of ZnO NPs compared to the control. At rates of 10 mg l-1 ZnO NPs, the greatest increases in plant height and spike length were observed for genotypes NS Pobeda and NS Futura. At 100 mg l-1 ZnO NPs, the greatest increase for both traits was observed for genotypes NS 40S and NK Ingenio. Maximum rates of ZnO nanoparticles reduced both observed traits of wheat. The result indicated that ZnO nanoparticles can significantly increase plant height and spike length of wheat, but also plant response to ZnO nanoparticles significantly depends on concentration of application, as well as from wheat genotype.

AB - Biodiesel and biogas are especially important sources of renewable energy in the world and in Serbia. Biodiesel is used as transportation fuel; biogas is used for production of electricity and heat. Soybean (Glycine max L.) grain is the primary source of vegetable protein for food and feed supplements, also accounts for much of the world's bio-oil supply. Due to the development of new technologies for processing agricultural waste into energy, the rate of increase in the use of alternative fuels is significantly increasing. The aim of this study was to determine the productivity of soybeans and the possibility of obtaining biogas from soybeans in divergent years, 2017-2019. Main effects were monitored, genotypes (G), years (Y) and genotype by years interaction effects (G x Y) and were used for evaluation of soybean genotypes in different environments. Soybean varieties were tested for mass of 1000 grain (MTG), plant height (PH), grain yields (GY) and biogas yield (BY). Stability of grain and biogas yield was determined to select best genotype. Results showed that genotype and years had a significant impact on all measured variables. In all tested years, the biggest GY and BY were at genotypes G1 (2.40-4.49 t ha(-1), and 461.00-641.00 m(3) ha(-1), respectively) and G3 (1.97-4.30 t ha(-1); i.e. 447.67-620.00 m(3) ha(-1)). Genotype G2 had statistically significantly lower values for all tested parameters compared to other tested genotypes. Correlation analysis of some chosen traits showed different interdependence between measured variables depending on the year conditions. The results of this study pointed out that among best genotypes for production of grain and biogas were G1 and G3. From the results of this study it can be concluded that G x Y trials are important for evaluation of stability and choosing the most stable genotypes of soybean.

AB - The aim of this study was to examine the productivity of millet (Panicum miliaceum L.; Poaceae) in the world and its importance in the food and in industries. Millet has a high grain yield and is an important source proteins in food. It has high biomass yield which is why it is of great importance in bioenergy production. The priority is to procure raw materials and develop the process of biofuel production in an economical way. Millet has the least need for water, of other cereals and is a significant crop in sustainable systems. Millet grain is rich in iron, calcium and vitamin B complex (B1, B2, B3). In addition to their nutritive value, helps prevent cancer and cardiovascular diseases, reduce tumor incidence, lower blood pressure, the risk of heart disease, cholesterol and rate of fat absorption have been reported for millet.
Pored njegove hranjive vrednosti, pomaže u prevenciji karcinoma i kardiovaskularnih bolesti, smanjenju incidencije tumora, sni-žavanju krvnog pritiska, riziku od bolesti srca, holesterola i brzini apsorpcije masti.

AB - Different seed priming treatments are widely used in order to improve the nutritional status of wheat, as well as to improve its grain yield and yield- related traits. The present study aimed to evaluate the impact of seed priming with zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) on the yield related traits, such as, field emergence, plant height, spike length and grain yield per plant of four winter wheat genotypes (Triticum aestivum L.) during two vegetation seasons of 2018/2019 and 2019/2020. The seeds of each wheat genotypes were primed with different concentrations of ZnO NPs (0 mg L-1, 10 mg L-1, 100 mg L-1 and 1000 mg L-1) for 48 h in a dark box by continuous aeration and were sown in soil pots with 60-70% moisture content until full maturity. The additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) models were used to study the genotype environment effects. The results indicated that the plants response to ZnO nanoparticles significantly increased all of the observed traits of the wheat, while its maximum rates reduced the traits of the wheat. The AMMI analysis revealed the very complex nature of the variation observed in the trial and showed the significant effect of the GxE interaction, in which the first main component was significant for all components.

AB - One of the most important tasks in a wheat breeding program is the development of high yielding wheat cultivars by crossing the parents with good general combining ability (GCA) and selecting desirable genotypes within its segregating generations for grain yield traits. The objective of this study was to estimate the combining ability and gene action involved in the expression of the traits grain weight per spike and grain weight per plant of wheat in F-1 generations, in 5 x 5 half diallel cross of bread wheat varieties (Triticum aestivum L.). The results of applying combining ability analysis indicated that among the parents, genotypes Sara, Pobeda and Renesansa were found to be the best general combiners for the both investigated traits. The best specific crosses for both traits were Sara/Partizanka, Pobeda/Sara, Renesansa/Partizanka, Partizanka/Pesma and Pobeda/Pesma. Most of the specific crosses involved high x high, high x low and low x low general combiners. The results of regression analysis, as well as the analyses of components of genetic variation indicated over-dominance in the inheritance of examined traits suggested that selection in later segregating generations may lead to fairly good improvement in these characters.

AB - In this work was analyzed number of grains per spike stability for 11 bread wheat varieties, on halomorphic soil, solonetz type, in Banat. Stability have been followed in two vegetation periods on null control, and two melioration levels of 25 t/ha, and 50 t/ha phosphor-gypsum. Genotype by environment interaction was quantified using AMMI model. According the results, wheat varietes in the exam reacted differently to different levels of melioration, depending not only on genotype, but also on environmental conditions.
