The reaction of winter oil seed rape genotypes (Brassica napus L) to low temperatures

Abstract

The reaction of S6 generation of winter oilseed rape to low temperatures during the winter 2002/2003 was studied. Based on the results obtained by cluster analysis according to Gower and Ross (1969), the tested lines were divided into five groups. The first group comprised 80 lines, the second 139, the third 94, the fourth 64, and the fifth 25. The first group had the highest mean value for this trait with the minimal value of 90.77% and the maximum value of 100%. The fifth group had the smallest mean value for this trait with the minimal value of 54.23% and the maximum value of 70.10%. The highest percentage of dead plants, 45.77%, was found in the line JP-14/1. In four of the lines (JP-17/3; JP-31/3; JP-93/2; JP-93/5), however, there was no plant loss due to winterkill.

Proučavana je reakcija linija ozime uljane repice S6 generacije na niske temperature u toku zime 2002./2003. godine. Na osnovu prikupljenih podataka primenom klaster analize prema Gower i Ross (1969) linije su svrstane u pet grupa. U prvoj grupi našlo se 80, u drugoj 138, u trećoj 95, u četvrtoj 64 a u petoj 25 linija. Najvišu srednju vrednost za ovo svojstvo imala je prva grupa sa minimumom od 90,77% i maksimumom od 100%. Najnižu srednju vrednost za ovo svojstvo imala je peta grupa sa minimumom od 54,23% i maksimumom od 70.10%. Najveći procenat uginulih biljaka od 45,77% konstatovan je kod linije JP-14/1. Na drugoj strani kod četiri linije (JP-17/5; JP-31/3 JP-93/2; JP-93/5) nije konstatovano izmrzavanje ni jedne biljke.
