AB  - In this paper are shown the results of the production characteristics of the perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) cv. `Naki', which grown in rows with different row spacing and seed rate in the agroecological conditions of central Serbia in three successive analysed years. Four levels of two observed factors were used in the experiment: row spacing (12.5; 25; 37.5 and 50 cm) and seed rate (9, 16, 23 and 30 kg ha(-1)). Due to the analyses, the height of the tiller, the length of the spike and the number of spikelets per spike gave better results by sowing in wider rows (37.5 and 50 cm) using lower seed rate (9 and 16 kg ha(-1)). Seed yield and harvest index responded favourably to sowing in rows at a wider row spacing (37.5 and 50 cm) in combination with a lower seed rate (9 and 16 kg ha(-1)), while shoot dry weight gave better results by sowing in narrower rows (12.5 cm) with lower seed rate (9 and 16 kg ha(-1)). Using the appropriate row spacing in sowing and the optimum of seed rate provides the highest results of the production characteristics of the perennial ryegrass that can be applied to further production.

Influence plowed maize stalks on the dynamics of microbial indicators in soil

AB  - If the incorporation of organic matter from treated plots microbiological preparations can be significantly affected by changes in the microbial community of mineralization significantly bulky organic matter. The aim of the study was to determine the basic parameters of soil biogenicity before sowing soybeans on the parcels where the corn was pre-sown under the following fertilization variants: 1. Mineral fertilizer 100 kg N / ha; 2. Corn stalks; 3. Corn stalks + 80 kgN / ha; 4. Corn stalks + 80 kgN / ha +20 lit / ha EM Aktiv. At the beginning of vegetation, microbial soil characteristics up to a depth of 0-20 cm were determined according to the number of different physiological and systemic groups of microorganisms The total number of microorganisms as well as the number of tested microorganism groups had the highest values in variant 4. Given that the synthesis of humus is a long slow process, it can be concluded that the cultivation of maize and the introduction of different groups of microorganisms can affect significant processes in the soil.

AB  - The aim of this paper is to maintain soil fertility on an organic farm  without livestock production by using alfalfa green biomass. The research  was carried out on the farm of Mokrin PP company, by modeling and sizing of
 crop rotation with alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) on the non-carbonate  humoglay. To ensure a cost-effective technical solution, alfalfa seed  production was organized. In the autumn of 2015 alfalfa sowing was carried  out in a field of 5 ha. Green biomass of the first and third cuttings, as well as crop residue after harvesting of seeds in the second cutting, were
 mowed and chopped by harvester for low silage and stored in the silage-pit. After nine months, a mature alfalfa compost was obtained with optimum values
 of total nitrogen (5.04%), organic matter (42.56%), C/N, pH, humidity, and EC. Two-year alfalfa utilization is the recommended time in this research because to the following benefits: in crop rotation, alfalfa field is
 provided with nitrogen by symbiotic ni­trogen fixation and the alfalfa is  cultivated every five years in the same field, while in the middle of that period the field is fertilized with compost produced on the farm. The amount of compost obtained by crop rotation (2016 - 48.80 t; 2017 - 62.30 t) is enough for about 20% of the arable area per year. Thus, the fields are fertilized every fourth year with 10 t ha-1 of compost. Thanks to alfalfa  biomass and seed and also nitrogen fixation, maintaining soil fertility is
 resolved in a sustainable and natural way.

AB  - U radu je razmatrana opravdanost i mogućnost proizvodnje soje, druge grupe zrenja, u organskom sistemu gajenja u cilju njene samoodrživosti uz ostvarivanje stabilnog prinosa. Poljski ogled bio je postavljen po dizajnu podeljenih parcela. Cilj ovog rada bio je da omogući sagledavanje razlika između sorti i primenjenih folijarnih tretmana sa rastvorom fermentisane koprive, preparata Vital tricho i kombinacije fermentisane koprive i preparata Vital tricho kao i interakcije oba faktora ispitivanja na broj bočnih grana i prinos zrna. Time bi se u organskom sistemu biljne proizvodnje povećale površine pod leguminozama, sa stabilnim zadovoljavajućim prinosima i raspolagalo sa sertifikovanim zrnom soje proizvedenim sa dozvoljenim inputima. Polazna osnova u ovom radu bio je je
Zakon o organskoj proizvodnji i primenjena tehnologija organske proizvodnje. Urađena je analiza varijanse za obradu podataka, a srednje vrednosti testirane su LSD testom. Oba faktora ispitivanja ispoljila su statistički značajan uticaj na
ispitivana svojstva.
AB  - In this paper, justification and posibilities of second maturity group soybean production in an organic breeding system were examined, with the aim of it’s self-sustainability along with achieving sustainable yield. The field experiment was set by split-plot design. The aim of this paper was to enable the perceiving of differences between varieties and applied foliar treatments with fermented nettle solution, the preparation Vital tricho and a combination of fermented nettle and the
preparation Vital tricho, as well as the interaction between both examination factors on the number of side branches and grain yield. Surfaces with legumes would thereby extend in an organic system of plant production, with stable and satisfactory yields and sertified soybean grain produced with allowed inputs would be at disposal. The initial basis for this paper was The Law on Organic Production and Applied Technology of Organic Production. An analysis of variance for data processing, and average values were tested via LSD test. Both examination factors have shone a statistically significant influence on the examined characteristics.

AB  - Baštenski grašak beleži porast površina i prinosau svetu, dok kod nas beleži samo povećanje prinosa. Cena organski proizvedenog i prerađenog zrna graška zamrzavanjem je za 107,5% viša u poređenju sa konvencionalnim. Udeo organske proizvodnje u Srbiji, u 2016. godini, u ukupnim obradivim površinama je 0,31%. Cilj poljskog eksperimentalnog ogleda bio je utvrditi efekat primene mikrobioloških đubriva u proizvodnji graška bez sintetičkih konvencionalnih aplikanata. Ispitivanje je obavljeno sa 3 različite sorte, primenom mikrobioloških đubriva u tehnologiji proizvodnje graška. Ogled izveden u suvom povrtarenju u tri ponavljanja po dizajnu split-plot. Ostvareni su visoki i stabilni prinosi.
AB  - A growth of garden pea surfaces and yields has been recorded worldwide, while in our areas, only growth of yield has been recorded. The price of organically produced pea and pea grain processed via freezing was 107.5% higher when compared with conventional. In Serbia, in the year 2016, the portion of organic production was only 0.31% of total arable areas. The aim of the field experiment was to determine the effects of the application of microbiological fertilizers in the production of peas with no synthetic conventional inputs. The research was conducted with three different varieties applying microbiological fertilizers to pea production technology. The experiment was conducted by dry vegetable growing in three repetitions by split-plot design. High and stable yields have been achieved.

AB  - Folijarni tretmani dva puta u vegetaciji sa efektivnim mikroorganizmima značajno su uticali na povećanje prinosa ispitivanih parametara. U godini sa nepovoljnim agrometeorološkim uslovima zabeleženo je povećanje prinosa zrna u zavisnosti od količine osnovnog đubrenja od 9,59-3,94%, dok je u godini sa povoljnim uslovima to povećanje iznosilo od 4,81-1,83%. Takođe, je utvrđen i povećan sadrćaj ulja u zrnu i prinos ulja po jedinici površine. Uvođenjem efektivnih mikroorganizama kao obaveznu meru uticalo bi se na smanjenje efekta suše, sigurniju proizvodnju i dobar kvalitet zrna.
AB  - Foliar treatments twice in vegetation with effective microorganisms significantly influenced the increase in the yield of the tested parameters. In the year with unfavorable agro-meteorological conditions, the increase in grain yield was observed, depending on the amount of basic fertilizer from 9.59-3.94%, while in the year with favorable conditions the increase was 4.81-1.83%. It is established and increased oil content in grain and oil yield per unit area. By introducing effective micro-organisms as a compulsory measure, it would have an effect on reducing the effects of drought, more secure production and good grain quality.

AB  - Združivanje useva je sistem gajenja biljaka koji u održivom načinu
biljne proizvodnje sve više dobija na značaju. Pored niza prednosti združenih useva (agronomskih i ekoloških) veoma je važno da ishrana useva bude prilagođena potrebama biljaka i dinamici mikrobne populacije u zemljištu. Zato je za cilj rada postavljeno da se utvrdi značaj združivanja kukuruza i soje na parametre biogenosti zemljišta u odnosu na njihovu pojedinačnu setvu (faktor A). Faktor B primenjene su različite vrste đubriva (kontrola NPK 600 kg/ha 15:15:15 na celoj površini ogleda; S-stajnjak 30 t/ha; MM-200 kg/ha AN 34,5%N; MB- 200 kg/ha AN 34,5%N+ tečni mikrobiološki preparat sa efektivnih mikroorganizama u zemljište 20 l/ha i Nitragin za soju. Ispitivane varijabile su visoko značajno (p<0,01) uticale na dinamiku ispitivanih grupa rizosferne mikrobne populacije
(ukupan broj mikroorganizama, brojnost amonifikatora) i njihovu biohemijsku aktivnost. Đubrenje je takođe visoko značajno uticalo na ispitivane parametre. Ukupan broj mikroorganizama je u proseku imao najveće vrednosti pri đubrenju u varijanti MM, dok je brojnost amonifikatora i dehidrogenazne aktivnosti imala najveće vrednosti u MB varijanti. Ispitivani faktori su različito uticali na intezitet vegetativnog porast biljaka na početku vegetacije. Način setve nije značajno uticao na visinu biljaka u početnim fazama razvoja biljaka, dok su đubrenje i interaktivna zavisnost faktora statistički značajano uticali na visinu biljaka. U pojedinačnoj setvi kod soje nisu utvrđene statistički značajne razlike u visini biljaka, kod kukuruza najveća visina (p<0,01) utvrđena pri đubrenju sa stajnjakom, dok je u združenom usevu najveća visina kukuruza i soje (p<0,01) uvrđena pri đubrenju u varijanti MB.
AB  - Intercropping is a plant breeding system that is gaining in
importance for a sustainable way of plant production. In addition to the many benefits of intercropping crops (agronomic and ecological) it is very important that nutrition of crops is adapted to the needs of plants and the dynamics of the microbial population in the soil. Therefore, the aim of the paper was to determine the importance intercropping sowing maize and soybean for soil biogenic parameters relative to their individual planting (factor A). Factor B was applied to various types of fertilizers (control of NPK 600 kg / ha 15:15:15 on the entire
surface of the experiment; S-manure 30 t / ha; MM-200 kg / ha AN 34.5% N; MB200 kg / ha AN 34.5% N + liquid microbiological preparation with effective microorganisms in the soil of 20 l / ha and Nitragin for soybean. The variables
examined were highly significant (p <0.01) influencing the dynamics of the investigated groups of the microbial population in rhizosphere (total number of microorganisms, the number of microorganisms on average had the highest fertilization values in the MM variant, while the number of ammonification and
dehydrogenase activity had the highest values in MB variants. The investigated factors differed influenced the intensity of vegetative growth of plants at the beginning of vegetation. The method of sowing did not significantly affect the height of plants in the initial stages of plant development, while fertilization and
interactive dependence of factor A significantly influenced the height of the plants. In the single planting in the soybean, the significance of the difference in the height of the plants was not determined, while in the maize the highest height (p <0.01) was determined during fertilization with the manure, while in the combined crop the maximum height of corn and soybean (p <0.01) determined by fertilization in the MB variant.

Uticaj efektivnih mikroorganizama na visinu prinosa zrna kukuruza i biogenost zemljišta

AB  - U održivoj poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji unošenjem velikih grupa benefitnih mikroorganizama u agroekosistem mogu da se ispune ciljeva IFOAM-a. Mikrobiološki preparati mogu da se primene kao osnovno ili dopunsko đubrenje u ishrani biljaka. Primenom preparat sa efektivnim mikroorganizama u zemljište i folijarno preko lista biljaka postižu se stabilni prinosi kukuruza uz očuvanje biogenosti zemljišta. Ogled je izveden 2016. godine na zemljištu tipa černozem K.O. Srbobran. Tretmani su povećali masu 1000 zrna kukuruza hibrida Pioneer 0412, (p<0,05), dok je prinos zrna bio povećan na nivou p<0,01 u odnosu na kontrolu. Osnovni parametri biogenosti su takođe bili povećani. Ukupan broj bakterija u zavisnosti od načina primene efektivnih mikroorganoizama bio je povećan od 23,08-84,90%, a broj azotobaktera od 45,21-69,25%. Ispitivane osobine imale su najveće vrednosti u tretmanu kada se preparat uneo predsetveno u zemljište i primenio folijarno dva puta u vegetaciji.
AB  - In sustainable agricultural production, by introducing large groups of beneficial microorganisms into the agroecosystem, the objectives of the IFOAM can be fulfilled. Microbiological preparations can be used as basic or supplementary fertilization in plant nutrition. Also, some groups of microorganisms have shown significant effects in the protection of plants against diseases and pests. By using a preparation with effective microorganisms in the soil and foliar through the plant leaf, stable yields of corn are achieved while preserving the biogenicity of the soil. The sighting was carried out in 2016 on the soil of the type chernozem in Srbobran. The treatments increased the weight of 1000 grain maize, Pioneer 0412 hybrid, (p <0.05), while grain yield was increased at p <0.01 as compared to control. Basic parameters of soil biogenicity: the total number of bacteria was increased by 39.96%, and the oxidation processes in the soil were more intensive by 71.05%. The investigated traits had the highest values in the treatment when the preparation was introduced early in the soil and applied 
foliar twice in the vegetation.

abstract = "U održivoj poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji unošenjem velikih grupa benefitnih mikroorganizama u agroekosistem mogu da se ispune ciljeva IFOAM-a. Mikrobiološki preparati mogu da se primene kao osnovno ili dopunsko đubrenje u ishrani biljaka. Primenom preparat sa efektivnim mikroorganizama u zemljište i folijarno preko lista biljaka postižu se stabilni prinosi kukuruza uz očuvanje biogenosti zemljišta. Ogled je izveden 2016. godine na zemljištu tipa černozem K.O. Srbobran. Tretmani su povećali masu 1000 zrna kukuruza hibrida Pioneer 0412, (p<0,05), dok je prinos zrna bio povećan na nivou p<0,01 u odnosu na kontrolu. Osnovni parametri biogenosti su takođe bili povećani. Ukupan broj bakterija u zavisnosti od načina primene efektivnih mikroorganoizama bio je povećan od 23,08-84,90%, a broj azotobaktera od 45,21-69,25%. Ispitivane osobine imale su najveće vrednosti u tretmanu kada se preparat uneo predsetveno u zemljište i primenio folijarno dva puta u vegetaciji., In sustainable agricultural production, by introducing large groups of beneficial microorganisms into the agroecosystem, the objectives of the IFOAM can be fulfilled. Microbiological preparations can be used as basic or supplementary fertilization in plant nutrition. Also, some groups of microorganisms have shown significant effects in the protection of plants against diseases and pests. By using a preparation with effective microorganisms in the soil and foliar through the plant leaf, stable yields of corn are achieved while preserving the biogenicity of the soil. The sighting was carried out in 2016 on the soil of the type chernozem in Srbobran. The treatments increased the weight of 1000 grain maize, Pioneer 0412 hybrid, (p <0.05), while grain yield was increased at p <0.01 as compared to control. Basic parameters of soil biogenicity: the total number of bacteria was increased by 39.96%, and the oxidation processes in the soil were more intensive by 71.05%. The investigated traits had the highest values in the treatment when the preparation was introduced early in the soil and applied 
foliar twice in the vegetation.",

AB  - This study examines the impact of organic growing technologies on the rhizosphere microflora value and grain yield alternative types of wheat. Research is based on three varieties of different alternative types of wheat (Triticum spelta, Triticum compactum and Triticum durum) and one conventional variety of ordinary soft wheat (Triticum vulgare). The experiment was set up on less carbonate-chernozem, according to the random block design with four replicates for each treatment (F-1-microbiological fertilizer, F-2-the combined use of microbiological fertilizer and organic fertilizer, F-0-control (no fertilizer application)). Research results showed that fertilization significantly influenced the increase in the total number of microorganisms to the level of 3.7% and 28%, and the number of Azotobacter to the level of 2.8% and 19.1%, with the proven higher efficiency of mixed application of fertilizers. Analysis of variance of the total number of microorganisms and Azotobacter showed a statistically significant difference between the tested varieties. Grain yield of spelt (4,540 kg ha(-1)) was significantly higher compared to other varieties. The greatest variation in yield in the three-year period was noted for conventional variety ordinary soft wheat. The examined variants of fertilization had a significant effect on increasing grain yield, from the level of 13.9% to 36.4%.

AB  - Cilj rada je ispitivanje produktivnosti različitih sorti pšenice u zavisnosti od
rizosferne mikroflore u uslovima organske tehnologije gajenja. Najveći prinos zrna u prvoj
godini zabeležen je kod sorte krupnika, a u drugoj godini kod sorte obične meke pšenice kod
koje je ustanovljeno i veće variranje prinosa u poređenju sa ispitivanim sortama alternativnih
vrsta pšenice. Najmanji prinos zrna ustanovljen je kod sorte tvrde pšenice, Dolap, kod koje
je zabeležen najmanji broj ispitivanih grupa mikroorganizama. Testiranjem značajnosti
regresionog modela ustanovljeno je postojanje statistički značajne promene prinosa pšenice
u zavisnosti od brojnosti Azotobakter-a (r=0,76), ali ne i od ukupnog broja mikroorganizama
(r=0,24).
AB  - The aim of this paper is testing the productivity of various wheat varieties
depending on the rhizosphere microflora in terms of organic cultivation technology. The
highest yield in the first year was recorded in cv spelt, and in the second year at ordinary
soft wheat varieties for which it was established and greater variation in yield compared
to alternative types of wheat varieties. The lowest yield was detected among varieties
of durum wheat, Dolap, in which it recorded the lowest number of investigated
microbial groups. By testing the significance of regression model was found a
statistically significant change in the yield of wheat depending on the number of
Azotobacter (r = 0.76), but not the total number of microorganisms (r=0,24).

AB  - U istraživanjima su korišćene tri alternativne sorte pšenice Tr. aestivum ssp.
compactumima, Triticum spelta, i Triticum durum u tri godine istraživanja sa primenom
organskog đubriva i mikrobiološkog inokulata u cilju održavanja biogenosti zemljišta.
U toku istraživanja određivani su najznačajniji mikrobiološki parametri promena u
zemljištu (ukupan broj mikroba i brojnost azotobaktera), kao i visina prinosa gajenih
biljaka.
Na kraju rada zaključeno je da sorta Tr.aestivum ssp. compactumima ima najbolju
asocijaciju sa rizosfernom populacijom, a da sorta Triticum spelta ostvaruje najve će
prinose u različitim agroekološkim uslovima.

AB  - Due to knowledge that intensive agriculture has long-term effects on the ecosystem, deterioration in the quality of food is 
increasingly endangering the health of the human population. 
The concept of sustainable agriculture includes production management system that promotes the recovery of 
ecosystems including biological cycles. The central place of these measures is given to microorganisms. The application 
of microorganisms as biofertilizers can be increased overall biological value which is a prerequisite for the preservation 
of the productive potential. By entering different groups of microorganisms in the soil increases the dynamics of the total 
number of microorganisms. Reducing the number and enzymatic activity of microorganisms in the soil when introducing 
contaminants such herbicides are the best indicator of its degradation.
AB  - S obzirom na činjenicu da intezivna poljoprivreda ima dugoročne efekte na ekosistem, opadanje kvaliteta hrane u velikoj 
meri utiče na zdravlje ljudske populacije. 
Koncept održive poljoprivrede uključuje sistem proizvodnog menadžmenta koji promoviše oporavak ekosistema 
uključujući biološke cikluse. Centralno mesto ovih mera jesu mikroorganizmi. Primenom mikroorganizama kao 
biofertilizatora može biti povećana ukupna biološka vrednost koja je preduslov za očuvanje proizvodnog potencijala. 
Uvođenjem različitih grupa mikroorganizama u zemlji se povećava dinamika ukupnog broja mikroorganizama. 
Smanjenje broja enzimske aktivnosti mikroorganizama u zemljištu, kada se unesu zagađivači kao što su herbicidi su 
najbolji indikator degradacije.

Yield of Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) in ecological production according to environment conservation

AB  - Bean is an annual plant of the legume family, of high nutritional value. In structure of total vegetable consumption in Serbia, bean takes 4.3%. Research was conducted in 2013 in Baia Topola according to ecological principles. The trial was set up as two-factorial field experiment with four replications. The aim of research was to determine the effect of genetic factor and application of Tifi microbiological preparation (Trichoderma x atroviride) to yield and bean yield components. Data were statistically analyzed by method of two-factorial split-plot experiment, where main plots were cultivars and subplots microbiological treatments. Means were tested by LSD test. Both treatments had positive effect on bean growth and development, and also yield and yield components. Average bean yield was 6.2 t ha(-1). 'Maksa' cultivar had statistically significant increased yield than 'Zlatko' cultivar. Control had statistically significant lower yield (p  lt  0.01) compared to yield of plots treated by Trichoderma x atroviride. According to results, positive correlation was determined between yield and plant height, number of side branches, nodule weight (symbiotic bacteria on the root of the bean), number of legumes, grain weight. Also, negative correlation was determined between number of grains and absolute grain weight which leads to conclusion that if the number of grains is bigger, the grains are smaller and the absolute weight is smaller. Products grown by new, alternative technologies are safe for human health. Ecological production contributes to environment conservation and also is based on modern scientific perception of ecology and agriculture.

Agrotechnical investigation towards standardization of black cumin seed production (Nigella sativa L.)

AB  - This paper presents growing possibilities of oily and medicinal plant - black cumin (Nigella sativa L.), and defines agro-technical standards for this. Use of seed and black cumin oil in the world is increasing. With regard to this, the goal of this study was to establish technical procedure for cultivation of this, less commonly cultivated species in Serbia. Investigation was carried out during 2013- 2015., at the experimental field of the Institute for Medicinal Plant Research 'Dr Josif Pančić', in Pančevo, Serbia. For the experimental purposes, domesticated population of black cumin was used. Following three planting dates- Early (half of March), Middle (half of April), and Late (half of May), and three row spacings - 25, 50 and 75 cm, has been tested. The obtained results document that the average length of the entire vegetation period was ca. 120 days, thought which the plants passes 13 different phenology phases (five vegetative and eight reproductive), for the first time described for agro-ecological conditions of Serbia. Influence of individual and combined effects of different sowing dates and row spacings on morphology and yields of dry and ripe black cumin seeds were recorded. Individually, the highest yields were obtained in the treatment with sowing date mid-April in combination with the row spacing of 50 cm, averagelly 752 kg*ha-1. Good achievments in cultivation are very important with regard to so precious properties of black cumin seeds. With defined appropiate growing technology, Serbian farmers will be able to continuously provide this raw materials with consistent quantity and quality, intended for application in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
AB  - U radu je ispitivana mogućnost gajenja i definisanje agrotehničkih standarda pri gajenju uljanolekovite biljne vrste crni kim (Nigella sativa L.). Upotreba semena i ulja crnog kima u svetu je u stalnom porastu, s tim u vezi postavljen cilj rada se odnosio na moguće tehničko rešenje sistema gajenja za jednu kod nas malo poznatu vrstu. Istraživanja su provedena u periodu 2013.-2015. godine na kolekciji Instituta za proučavanje lekovitog bilja 'Dr Josif Pančić', Beograd, sa lokacijom u Pančevu. Za potrebe ispitivanja korišćena je odomaćena populacija crnog kima. U ispitivanjima korišćena su tri roka setve (rani - polovina marta, srednji - polovina aprila i kasni - polovina maja) i tri međuredna rastojanja (25, 50 i 75 cm). Istraživanjima je evidentirano da prosečna dužina vegetacionog perioda crnog kima oko 120 dana. U tom periodu biljka prođe 13 različitih feonoloških faza 5 vegetativnih i 8 reproduktivnih faza, koje su po prvi put opisane za agroekološke uslove naše zemlje. Pojedinačni i zajednički uticaj rokova setve i međurednog rastojanja evidentiran je na morfološke osobine i prinos osušenog zrelog semena crnog kima (Nigellae semen). Pojedinačno najveći prinos droge, ostvaren je u varijanti setva polovinom aprila na 50 cm između redova, gde je u proseku ostvareno 752 kg ha-1.

Productivity and Tuber Quality of Helianthus Tuberosus L. Cultivated on Different Soil Types in Serbia

AB  - In this paper were studied the morphological characteristics, productivity and tuber quality of the Jerusalem artichoke grown in different soil types. The study was conducted on soils of different texture and agrochemical properties: humoglay (the locality: Ivanovo 1), alluvium (the locality: Ivanovo 2) and chernozem on loess and partially gleyed soil (the locality: Starcevo). Prior to the experiment setting, the agrochemical analyses of the soil were conducted, and the mechanical composition was determined. Field experiments were carried out in the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Of the total number of observed indicators, in six was recorded significant variability: average tuber weight (AWT), number of tubers per plant (NTP), fresh tuber: yield per plant (FTYP), average depth of excavation (ADE), total sugar content (TS) and alpha-amino-N (alpha AN), whereas in the other six, there were no statistically significant variations. In this group, there are the following indications: tuber length (TL), potassium (K), sodium (Na), total nitrate (TN), calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P). Tuber colour (TC) and tuber shape (TSh) are presented descriptively. According to the examined parameters, the best soil type was the chernozem one with signs gleyzation in loess.

Hull index: Indicator of hulled wheat productivity and quality

During the wheat harvest spikes decompose to spikelets in which the grain (caryopsis) is tightly wrapped in chaffs and glumes. Since this hulled grain is improper for human diet it is necessary to peel it off mechanically before the use. The seed, i.e. the grain of true cereals, has about a hundred of characteristics, of which 20% have significance for the market, while 10-15% is officially studied. Hulled grain or hulled seed is the term that exists in the market of world trade. Introduction of hulled wheat into production and its growing presence on the market imposes the need for a clearer presentation of the grain presence in the crowd of hulled grain. As a result of our previous studies on spelt wheat we defined the term - the hull index (HI), that presents the ratio between the weight of un hulled and hulled grain. H=YDG/YHG x 100 Calculation formula: HI - hull index YDG - yield of dehulled grain YHG - yield of hulled grain This term can be used in research as an indicator of hulled wheat productivity, while in the trade it could indicate the grain quality more clearly, whether it was a seed or mercantile goods.
AB  - Pšenice plevičastog ploda su jednozrnac (Triticum monococcum L), dvozrnac (Triticum dicoccum Schrank) i krupnik (Triticum spelta L). Pri žetvi ovih pšenica klas se raspada na klasiće u kojima je zrno (caryopsis) čvrsto obavijeno plevama i plevicama. Ovakav plevičasti plod nepodesan je za korišćenje u ishrani ljudi, pa ga je pre upotrebe potrebno mašinski oljuštiti. Seme, odnosno zrno pravih žita, ima oko stotinu osobina, od njih 20% ima značaj za tržište, dok se 10-15% zvanično ispituje. Na tržištu u svetskom prometu kao kategorija za plevičaste pšenice, često figurira plevičato seme ili zrno. Uvođenje u proizvodnju kao i sve veća zastupljenost proizvoda od zrna ovih pšenica na tržištu, nameće potrebu za jasnijim prikazivanjem odnosa zrna u masi plevičastih plodova. Kao rezultat rada naših predhodnih istraživanja na krupniku, definisan je termin - indeks pleva (IP) koji predstavlja odnos između mase oljuštenog zrna i plevičastog zrna. Ovaj termin može poslužiti u istraživačkom radu kao pokazatelj produktivnosti za plevičaste pšenice, a u prometu zrna ovih pšenica može jasnije da ukaže na kvalitet, bilo da se radi o semenskoj ili merkantilnoj robi.

Ovakav plevičasti plod nepodesan je za korišćenje u ishrani ljudi, pa ga je pre upotrebe potrebno mašinski oljuštiti. Seme, odnosno zrno pravih žita, ima oko stotinu osobina, od njih 20% ima značaj za tržište, dok se 10-15% zvanično ispituje. Na tržištu u svetskom prometu kao kategorija za plevičaste pšenice, često figurira plevičato seme ili zrno. Uvođenje u proizvodnju kao i sve veća zastupljenost proizvoda od zrna ovih pšenica na tržištu, nameće potrebu za jasnijim prikazivanjem odnosa zrna u masi plevičastih plodova. Kao rezultat rada naših predhodnih istraživanja na krupniku, definisan je termin - indeks pleva (IP) koji predstavlja odnos između mase oljuštenog zrna i plevičastog zrna. Ovaj termin može poslužiti u istraživačkom radu kao pokazatelj produktivnosti za plevičaste pšenice, a u prometu zrna ovih pšenica može jasnije da ukaže na kvalitet, bilo da se radi o semenskoj ili merkantilnoj robi.",

Valerian roots (Valeriana officinalis L.): Produced in autumn and spring planting date

AB  - This paper examines the influence of agro-ecological conditions and plantation periods on the occurrence of planting dates of flower stalks, offering fresh and dried valerian root. The aim of this paper is to solve one of the technological unknowns in primary production of valerian roots, where one group of manufacturers base their production on fall plantation, whereas the other group applies spring plantation. The experiments were established in a randomized block design with four replications in the period of tree years from 2013 to 2015, on the soil of marshy black type. The medicinal plant species of valerian (variety 'Vojvodinian') was used, as the plant material planted in autumn and spring. In the first year of experiment there was a significantly lower number of flower stalks than in the second year. The number of flower stalks were lower when planting was done in spring. Primary reasons for such results were a shorter vegetation period and a larger number of warm days. The higher yield of fresh roots was realized in the first year (2013) due to the lower number of flower stalks, better distribution and larger amounts of rainfall. Overall, twice the yield of fresh valerian roots was recorded in the autumn plantation (14.91 kg ha-1) compared to the spring plantation (6.72 kg ha-1). The result of our research has confirmed some of the benefits of establishing an autumn crop of valerian. Obtained roots with rhizomes from autumn planting dates were bigger and brighter compared to those from spring planting dates.
AB  - U radu je ispitivan uticaj agroekoloških uslova i rokova sadnje na pojavu cvetonosnih stabala, prinos svežeg i suvog korena odoljena. Cilj rada je proistekao iz potrebe rešenja jedne od tehnoloških nepoznanica u primarnoj proizvodnji odoljena, gde jedan deo proizvođača zasniva proizvodnju u jesenjem, a drugi u prolećnom roku sadnje. Ogledi su izvedeni u periodu 2013-2015. godine, na zemljištu tipa beskarbonatna ritska crnica, po slučajnom blok sistemu, u četiri ponavljanja. Kao biljni materijal korišćen je koren vrste odoljen (sorta 'Vojvođanski') iz useva zasnovanog u jesenjem i prolećnom roku sadnje. U prvoj godini istraživanja ostvaren je značajno manji broj cvetonosnih stabala u odnosu na drugu godinu. AB  - This article shows complete data of the means to grow "organic horseradish" in open field conditions in serbian metropolitan regions. In developed countries demand for organic productions grows, day in day out. That means that these cultures must be produced without appliance of additives, mineral fertilizers, pesticides, different hormones, and especially herbicides, that may biologically misbalance production environment. That's why it is necessary to find the way and develop methods to produce medically clean food and to preserve natural resources. Horseradish is one of the ideal cultures for this kind of production.

Origanum heracleoticum L. and Origanum vulgare L. seeds germination stimulators

AB  - This paper studies the effect of gibberellic acid (GA3), herbal preparation (LAB1) and the pre-cooling treatment (Ph) on seed germination of Origanum heracleoticum L.and Origanum vulgare L. As a control variant, seed treatment with distilled water was used. The highest germination energy (EK), germination after 14 days (14D) and a total germination values (UK) were achieved with seeds of O. heracleoticum treated with 400ppm GA3 (50.3%, 57.3% and 64.8%, respectively) and the lowest values were observed with 3-day pre-cooling treatment (28.3%, 28.8% and 28.8%, respectively). The highest values for all seed quality parameters for O. vulgare were achieved by the treatment with the highest GA3 concentration, 1000 ppm (60.0%, 67.0% and 74.8%, respectively), while the lowest germination values were recorded in 4-day pre-cooling treatment (26.0%, 26.8% and 27.5%, respectively). Overall, higher germination was observed in seeds of O. vulgare. The best germination stimulitor for both species proved to be gibberellic acid (GA3) - a hormone of plant origin, followed by the herbal preparation (LAB1), then the control variant (DW). On the other hand, the most unfavourable to stimulate germination proved to be pre-cooling treatment (Ph), which had no impact on the increase of seeds germination.

Seed quality and swelling index of marshmallow (Althaea officinalis L.), linseed (Linum usitatissimum l.) and fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum L.) seed

AB  - This paper presents different quality parameters of the seeds of three cultivated medicinal plant species investigated: marshmallow (Althaea officinalis L.), flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) and fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum L.). For determination of agronomic and Pharmacopoeial parameters, different aged seeds, collected during six year period (2008 - 2013), were used. Flax seeds (Lini semen) and fenugreek seeds (Trigonellae foenugraeci semen) are considered as official herbal drugs, but not the marshmallow seeds (Althaeae semen). Following agronomic seed quality parameters were determined: germination energy, total germination, 1000-seed weight, and swelling index. The highest average germination parameters was recorded with fenugreek seed (EC = 97.7 % and UK = 97.8 %), quite lower were in flax seeds (EC = 75.2 % and UK = 80.7 %), while the lowest were in marshmallow seeds (EC = 8.1% and UK = 19.8%). 1000-seed weight of the flax and fenugreek were in agreement with previous research. The greatest average swelling index was achieved in flax seeds (6.5 ml), being higher by 38.5% in comparison to prescribed minimum (4 ml), while the average swelling index of fenugreek seeds was 6.2 ml, also exceeding the prescribed minimum, but slightly (6 ml). The average swelling index for marshmallow seeds was 5.4 ml. Although the Althaeae semen is not an officinal herbal drug, a six-year data on the swelling index of the seeds can be used as reference values in the further definition of a new Pharmacopoeial standard for this herbal drug.
AB  - U radu su istraživani različiti pokazatelji kvaliteta semena tri gajene lekovite bilje vrste, belog sleza (Althaea officinalis L.), uljanog lana (Linum usitatissimum L.) i piskavice (Trigonella foenum graecum L.). Seme lana (Lini semen) i piskavice (Trigonellae foenugraeci semen) predstavljaju oficijalne droge, dok seme belog sleza (Althaeae semen) to nije. Za potrebe utvrđivanja agronomskih i farmakopejskih pokazatelja, korišćeno je dorađeno seme u periodu od 2008. do 2013 godine. Utvrđivani su sledeći pokazatelji kvaliteta semena: energija klijanja (EK), ukupna klijavost (UK), masa 1.000 semena i broj bubrenja semena. U proseku najveću klijavost imalo je seme piskavice (EK=97,7% i UK=97,8%), nešto manju seme uljanog lana (EK=75,2% i UK=80,7%), a najmanju seme belog sleza (EK=8,1% i UK=19,8%). Masa 1.000 semena uljanog lana (6,07 g) i piskavice (17,96 g) bila je u skladu sa dobijenim rezultatima prethodnih istraživanja. Najveći broj bubrenja imalo je seme uljanog lana (u proseku 6,5 ml b.b.), a njegove prosečne vrednosti bile su veće za 38,5% u odnosu na propisani minimum.

abstract = "This paper presents different quality parameters of the seeds of three cultivated medicinal plant species investigated: marshmallow (Althaea officinalis L.), flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) and fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum L.). For determination of agronomic and Pharmacopoeial parameters, different aged seeds, collected during six year period (2008 - 2013), were used. Flax seeds (Lini semen) and fenugreek seeds (Trigonellae foenugraeci semen) are considered as official herbal drugs, but not the marshmallow seeds (Althaeae semen). Following agronomic seed quality parameters were determined: germination energy, total germination, 1000-seed weight, and swelling index. The highest average germination parameters was recorded with fenugreek seed (EC = 97.7 % and UK = 97.8 %), quite lower were in flax seeds (EC = 75.2 % and UK = 80.7 %), while the lowest were in marshmallow seeds (EC = 8.1% and UK = 19.8%). 1000-seed weight of the flax and fenugreek were in agreement with previous research. The greatest average swelling index was achieved in flax seeds (6.5 ml), being higher by 38.5% in comparison to prescribed minimum (4 ml), while the average swelling index of fenugreek seeds was 6.2 ml, also exceeding the prescribed minimum, but slightly (6 ml). The average swelling index for marshmallow seeds was 5.4 ml. Although the Althaeae semen is not an officinal herbal drug, a six-year data on the swelling index of the seeds can be used as reference values in the further definition of a new Pharmacopoeial standard for this herbal drug., U radu su istraživani različiti pokazatelji kvaliteta semena tri gajene lekovite bilje vrste, belog sleza (Althaea officinalis L.), uljanog lana (Linum usitatissimum L.) i piskavice (Trigonella foenum graecum L.). Seme lana (Lini semen) i piskavice (Trigonellae foenugraeci semen) predstavljaju oficijalne droge, dok seme belog sleza (Althaeae semen) to nije. Za potrebe utvrđivanja agronomskih i farmakopejskih pokazatelja, korišćeno je dorađeno seme u periodu od 2008. do 2013 godine. Utvrđivani su sledeći pokazatelji kvaliteta semena: energija klijanja (EK), ukupna klijavost (UK), masa 1.000 semena i broj bubrenja semena. U proseku najveću klijavost imalo je seme piskavice (EK=97,7% i UK=97,8%), nešto manju seme uljanog lana (EK=75,2% i UK=80,7%), a najmanju seme belog sleza (EK=8,1% i UK=19,8%). Masa 1.000 semena uljanog lana (6,07 g) i piskavice (17,96 g) bila je u skladu sa dobijenim rezultatima prethodnih istraživanja. Najveći broj bubrenja imalo je seme uljanog lana (u proseku 6,5 ml b.b.), a njegove prosečne vrednosti bile su veće za 38,5% u odnosu na propisani minimum.",

AB  - The research work has dealt with investigations of two type commercial organic fertilizers (DCM ECO-MIX 4 NPK 7:7:10 i GUANITO NPK 6:15:3) effects on the yield and yield structure of three potato cultivars (Cleopatra, Carrera and Sylvana). The control variant was used in plots without the use of organic fertilizers. The field experiment was performed in 2012. in a populated area Dobrica (N 45° 13’, E 20° 51’, 78 m.s.l.) at the experimental farm plot Belča on which is certified organic production, on anthropogenic soil subtype chernozem on carbonate terrace. The results of research showed that the lowest tuber yield was determined in the control treatment (20,87 t ha-1), while the highest yield was achieved with a commercial organic fertilizer DCM ECO-MIX 4 (23,96 t ha-1). Number of tubers per plant corresponded to the characteristics of the studied cultivars. The largest number of tubers per plant was correlated with yield. Specifically, individual variants of the two greatest yields had the highest average number of tubers per plant. Cultivar Cleopatra of variant with GUANITO achieved 17,51 tubers per plant, while cultivar Sylvana of variant with DCM ECO-MIX 4 achieved 17,38 tubers per plant.
AB  - U radu su prikazani efekti istraživanja uticaja dve vrste komercijalnih organskih đubriva (DCM ECO-MIX 4 NPK 7:7:10 i GUANITO NPK 6:15:3) na prinos i strukturu prinosa tri sorte krompira (Cleopatra, Carrera i Sylvana). Kao kontrolna varijanta, korišćena je parcela bez primene organskog đubriva. Poljski ogled izveden je u toku 2012. godine na oglednoj parceli gazdinstva Belča u naseljenom mestu Dobrica (N 45°13', E 20° 51', 78 m.s.l.) na delu na kome je sertifikovana organska proizvodnja, na antropogenizovanom zemljištu podtipa černozem na karbonatnoj terasi. Dobijeni rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da je najmanji prinos krtola utvrđen na kontrolnoj varijanti (20,87 t ha-1), dok je najveći prinos je ostvaren sa komercijalnim organskim đubrivom DCM ECO-MIX 4 (23,96 t ha-1). AB  - This work represents a research of Ca, Mg, Fe and Zn contents in fresh aboveground biomass of wild nettle. The samples of wild nettle were collected from different localities in South Banat during 2008. year. Investigations included three localities with different soil types: chernozem with signs of gley in loess (Starčevo), marsh dark soil (Ivanovo) and alluvium soil (Dubovac). Laboratory determinations of Ca, Mg, Fe and Zn were carried out by atomic absorption spectrophotometric (AAS) techniques. The contents of chemical elements were compared with recent investigations in order to confirm the importance of nettle cultivation for production different types products. The highest values of Ca (890 mg 100 g-1) and Zn (10,02 mg 100 g-1) were obtained in samples of wild nettle which were collected from marsh dark soil. The highest values of Mg (124 mg 100 g-1) and Fe (49,13 mg 100 g-1) were determined in plants from chernozem with signs of gley in loess. The significant contents of chemical elements in wild nettle biomass have not only economic but also a great ecological significance as evidenced by its place in organic agriculture.
AB  - U ovom radu je istraživan sadržaj Ca, Mg, Fe i Zn u svežoj nadzemnoj biomasi samonikle koprive sakupljene u toku 2008. Godine, na različitim lokacijama u Južnom Banatu. Istraživanjima su bila obuhvaćena tri lokaliteta sa različitim tipovima zemljišta: karbonatni černozem u oglejavanju (Starčevo), ritska karbonatna crnica (Ivanovo) i aluvijalno glinovito zemljište (Dubovac). Laboratorijsko određivanje Ca, Mg, Fe i Zn, izvršeno je metodom atomske apsorpcione spektrofotometrije (AAS). Sadržaj ispitivanih hemijskih elemenata upoređivan je sa prethodnim istraživanjima, kako bi se potvrdio eventualni značaj preporuke i gajenja sakupljene koprive za potrebe izrade različitih vrsta proizvoda. Najveći sadržaj Ca ostvaren je na zemljištu tipa ritska karbonatna crnica (890 mg 100 g-1), najveći sadržaj od 124 mg 100 g-1Mg zabeležen je na zemljištu tipa karbonatni černozem u oglejavanju, najveći sadržaj Fe (49,13 mg 100 g-1) evidentiran je na istom tipu zemljišta, a najveći sadržaj Zn na zemljištu tipa ritska, karbonatna crnica (10,02 mg 100 g-1). Značajan sadržaj hemijskih elemenata u biomasi samonikle koprive, ne poseduje samo ekonomski, već i veliki ekološki značaj, što potvrđuje i njeno nezaobilazno mesto u organskoj poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji.
