Incomplete resistance of wheat and barley to rusts and breeding possibilities

U radu su izneti rezultati dosadašnjih istraživanja nekompletne otpomosti prema prouzrokovačima rđa pšenice i ječma u inostranstvu i našoj zemlji. Postoje velike mogućnosti uspešne selekcije na otpomost prema parazitima iz roda Puccinia.
Results of the investigation connected with incomplete resistance to Puccinia spp. in wheat and barley are presented in this paper. There are conditions for efficient breeding on that character. Heritability is high, environmental influence on gene expression in the field can be eliminated with investigations in the controlled conditions. Selection of parents which carry genes for the resistance is possible after only one year of estimation AUDPC (area under disease progress curve) values, latent period 50 length and infection efficiency. Inheritance of the character in our field conditions is mostly partially dominant. That fact makes the selection of genotypes from the progenies with another desirable characters besides incomplete resistance easier.
