Abstract
The main characteristics of the current situation with chemical weed control in sunflower are as follows: increasing problems with changing weed flora composition; hampered control of some weeds; the start of growing sunflowers tolerant of imidazolinones, development and introduction of new conventional herbicides; and so on. In the near future, it is expected that certain herbicides will be banned from the market and that sunflowers tolerant of tribenuron methyl will be introduced into production.
