AB  - Prema procenama Poslovne zajednice za industrijsko bilje soja je u 2022. godini bila zasejana na površini od 280.000 hektara, a ostvareni prosečni prinosi su od 1.100 kgha-1 do 1.300 kgha-1. U ovako izrazito lošoj godini za proizvodnju soje prinosi su veoma varirali i između pojedinih regiona, ali i između pojedinih parcela u istim regionima, zavisno od proizvodnih faktora, kao što su plodnost zemljišta, đubrenje, vreme i kvalitet osnovne obrade, predsetvene pripreme, setve soje, zakorovljenosti parcela, pojavi grinja i primenjenih agrotehničkih mera, međutim glavni limitirajući faktor bio je nedostatak padavina tokom vegetacionog perioda praćen visokim temperaturama.

AB  - Soja je biljna vrsta poreklom iz suptropskih predela sa povišenom vlagom kako zemljišta, tako i vazduha. Za ostvarivanje visokih i stabilnih prinosa ograničavajući faktor u proizvodnji soje javlja se nedostatak vlage u kriti-

AB  - Prema procenama Poslovne zajednice za industrijsko bilje, soja je u 2020. godini bila zasejana na površini od 220.000 hektara, a ostvareni prosečni prinosi su iznad višegodišnjeg proseka (2,5 t/ha) i iznose oko 3 tone po hektaru, što svrstava ovu proizvodnu godinu u prosečne do bolje godine, iako je na mnogim proizvodnim parcelama ostvaren i znatno niži prinos zbog nedostatka padavina i visokih temperatura tokom avgusta. Prinosi su veoma varirali između pojedinih regiona, ali i između pojedinih parcela u istim regionima, zavisno od vremena i kvaliteta osnovne obrade, predsetvene pripreme, setve soje i agrotehničkih mera primenjenih u toku vegetacionog perioda soje.
AB  - This paper overviews the production of soybean in Serbia in 2020. This crop was sown on 220,000 hectares and yielded above long-term average. Due to lack of precipitation and high temperatures in August, many fields showed lower yields.

Specifics of soybean seed production and processing in 2019

AB  - The soybean harvest in 2019 began at the end of August. The quality of the natural seed was very high. The moisture content of the harvested seeds ranged from 7.1 % to 14.1 %. Thanks to this humidity, there was no need to dry the seeds, which is very important given the fact that drying soybeans can reduce the quality. Seed germination ranged between 82 % and 96 %. It should be noted that 97 % of seeds were harvested with germination greater than 85 % while about 65 % of seeds had germination above 90 %. The weight of 1000 grains averaged about 160 g. Soybean seed processing started on time and without major problems. The purity of the processed seed was on average 99.4 %. Of the total amount of processed seeds, about 72 % of seeds had germination greater than 85 %. The achieved seed quality was better compared to the one in 2018.
AB  - Iako su proizvodnju soje u 2019. godini pratili brojni problemi, na kraju možemo da kažemo da je bila uspešna kako po zasejanim površinama tako i po ostvarenom prinosu. Žetva soje započela je krajem avgusta. Prijem semena u doradnim centrima obavljen je bez većih problema zahvaljujući dobro pripremljenoj opremi i dobroj organizaciji prijema semena. Kvalitet naturalnog semena bio je veoma dobar sa zanemarljivo malim prisustvom zelenih i nedozrelih zrna. Vlažnost požnjevenog semena bila je u rasponu od 7,1% do 14,1% dok je oko 65% semena zaprimljeno sa vlažnošću iznad 10%. Zahvaljujući ovakvoj vlažnosti, nije bilo potrebe za sušenjem semena što je jako važno s obzirom na činjenicu da se sušenjem soje kvalitet može smanjiti. Klijavost semena, kao najvažniji parametar kvaliteta, bila je u rasponu između 82% i 96%. Treba istaći da je 97% semena požnjeveno sa klijavošću većom od 85% dok je oko 65% semena imalo klijavost iznad 90%. Masa 1000 zrna u proseku je iznosila oko 160 g. Na osnovu zaprimljenih količina semena u doradnim centrima može se reći da će količina semena nakon dorade biti dovoljna za setvu soje u 2020. godini. Dorada semena soje počela je na vreme i bez većih problema. Ostvarena čistoća dorađenog semena bila je u proseku 99,4%. Od ukupne količine dorađenog semena oko 72% semena imalo je klijavost veću od 85%, dok je oko 50% semena imalo klijavost iznad 90%. Ostvareni kvalitet semena bio je bolji u odnosu na 2018. godinu.

AB  - Međuredna kultivacija soje je agrotehnička mera kojom se uništavaju korovi između redova soje, vrši se aeracija površinskog dela zemljišta što doprinosi boljem razvoju kvržičnih bakterija, boljem usvajanju azota i ostalih
hranjivih elemenata i prekida se prekomerno isparavanje vlage iz zemljišta. Na osnovu dugogodišnjih istraživanja nastala je preporuka tehnologije gajenja soje, po kojoj se preporučuje vršenje dve međuredne kultivacije za dobijanje visokih i stabilnih prinosa i u cilju sprečavanja oscilacije prinosa u nepovoljnim uslovima proizvodnje. AB  - U cilju sagledavanja uticaja folijarne prihrane na prinos i masu 1000 zrna soje, postavljen je dvogodišnji ogled na parcelama Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo na Rimskim Šančevima. Prihrana soje NPK đubrivima uz dodatak mikroelemenata statistički veoma značajno povećava prinos zrna i masu 1000 zrna soje. Najniži prinosi i najmanja vrednost za masu 1000 zrna soje bili su na kontrolnoj varijanti, što je statistički veoma značajno manje u odnosu na ostale varijante folijarne prihrane soje.
AB  - In order to examine the effect of foliar fertilization on yield and 1000 seed weight of soybean, a two year trial was set at Institute of field and vegetable crops on Rimski Šančevi. A foliar fertilization of soybean with NPK fertilizer with added micronutrients significantly increases yield and 1000 seed weight of soybean. The lowest yields and the lowest 1000 seed weight of soybean were on the control variant, which is significantly lower in comparison to other variants of foliar fertilization of soybean.

AB  - Six varieties were chosen from three different maturity groups: Galina and NS Princeza (0), Sava and NS Apolo (I), and Rubin and NS Zita (II) in order to examine the effect of priming on germination energy depending on soybean seed age. The seeds were produced in the period from 2012 to 2014, i.e., one- to three-year-old seeds were used. The following treatments were used for priming: distilled water - hydropriming (H2O), ascorbic acid 250 mg/l (ASA), folic acid 15 mg/l (Fol.), hydrogen peroxide 1% (H2O2), and control - non-treated seeds (C). Results showed that the effects of priming depended on the variety, seed age, as well as on the applied treatment. Some varieties reacted to priming very well, while others had an inhibited reaction, so germination energy was significantly reduced. Rubin variety had the most favourable reaction, whereby all treatments of this variety led to an increase of quality, with an average increase of 2-8%. The application of primers on one-year-old soybean seeds had a weaker effect than on two- and three -year-old seeds. However, one-year-old seeds had minor oscillations in quality due to priming. The application of priming on one-year-old seeds can lead to an increase or decrease of germination energy by 3%, while two- and three-year-old seeds reached 7%. The results showed that seed priming in ascorbic acid had a positive effect, while the application of other primers did not affect the value of germination energy, nor did it lead to a decrease of its value. Ascorbic acid activity led to the largest increase in the quality of three-year-old soybean seeds by 2.83%, while the increase in the quality of two- and three-year-old seeds was 1.87%. Therefore, we can conclude that there is no universal use of one single primer, as it might not be suitable for each particular variety and can ultimately result in the seed quality decrease.
AB  - Da bi se ispitao efekat potapanja na energiju klijanja starog semena soje, za analizu je odabrano šest sorti iz tri različite grupe zrenja: Galina i NS Princeza (0 grupa), Sava i NS Apolo (I grupa), Rubin i NS Zita (II grupa zrenja). Seme je proizvedeno u periodu od 2012. do 2014. godine, odnosno seme starosti tri, dve i jednu godinu. Za potapanje su korišćeni sledeći tretmani: destilovana voda (H2O), askorbinska kiselina 250 mg/l (ASA), folna kiselina 15 mg/l (Fol.), vodonik-peroksid 1% (H2O2) i kontrola - netretirano seme (C). Rezultati su pokazali da efekat potapanja zavisi od sorte, starosti semena, ali i tretmana koji se koristi. Neke sorte veoma dobro reaguju na potapanje, dok kod drugih dolazi do inhibitornog delovanja, pa se energija klijanja semena značajno smanjuje. Effect of priming on soybean seed germination parameters

AB  - The objective of this study was to examine the effect of primers on seed quality parameters using different starting values of germination. For this purpose, ten soybean lines selected at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad were evaluated. The starting values of germination ranged between 48% and 89%. Seeds were surface sterilized with 3% sodium hypochlorite and immersed in different primers: 1% potassium nitrate, 1% potassium chloride and 1% hydrogen peroxide. Untreated seeds were used as the control. The obtained results revealed that the effects of priming depended on soybean line and treatment, whereas the efficiency of this pre-sowing treatment was not affected by the starting value of seed germination. Some lines responded favorably to immersion, while in others priming had an inhibitory effect, causing a significant decrease in germination. There was an increase in germination up to 12% or a decrease up to 11%, depending on line and treatment. Lines that were positively affected by this method also exhibited increased values for other germination parameters: mean germination time (MGT) and time to 50% germination (T50). Lower values of MGT and T50 were observed in lines which showed a negative response to priming and a decrease in germination, but also a more rapid radicle protrusion, as compared to the control. In conclusion, there is no universal applicability of one single primer as it might cause a negative response in some lines and thus reduce seed quality.
AB  - Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je da se ispita efekat prajmera na parametre kvaliteta semena pri različitim početnim vrednostima klijavosti. Za istraživanje je korišćeno seme deset linija soje koje su selekcionisane na Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Novom Sadu. Početna vrednost klijavosti semena linija kretala se od 48% do 89%. Seme je površinski sterilisano 3% rastvorom natrijumhipohlorita, a onda je potapano u različite prajmere: kalijum-nitrat 1%, kalijumhlorid 1%, vodonik-peroksid 1% i kontrola - netretirano seme. Rezultati su pokazali da efekat prajmiranja zavisi od linije i tretmana, a da početna vrednost klijavosti semena ne utiče na efikasnost ove predsetvene mere. Neke linije su veoma dobro reagovale na potapanje, dok je kod drugih došlo do inhibitornog delovanja, pa se vrednost klijavosti značajno smanjila. Povećanje klijavosti se kretalo, u zavisnosti od linija i tretmana, do 12%, a smanjenje do 11%. Kod linija gde je primenom ove mere ostvaren pozitivan efekat, povećane su vrednosti i ostalih parametara klijanja: srednje vreme klijanja (MGT) i vreme do 50% klijavosti (T50). Linije koje su negativno reagovale na prajmiranje i kod kojih je klijavost smanjena imale su niže vrednosti MGT i T50, ali i bržu pojavu klicinog korenčića u odnosu na kontrolnu varijantu. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na to da se ne može govoriti o univerzalnoj primeni jednog prajmera, jer se može dogoditi da on ne odgovara određenoj liniji, pa može doći do pogoršanja kvaliteta semena. .

For this purpose, ten soybean lines selected at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad were evaluated. The starting values of germination ranged between 48% and 89%. Some lines responded favorably to immersion, while in others priming had an inhibitory effect, causing a significant decrease in germination. There was an increase in germination up to 12% or a decrease up to 11%, depending on line and treatment. Lines that were positively affected by this method also exhibited increased values for other germination parameters: mean germination time (MGT) and time to 50% germination (T50). Lower values of MGT and T50 were observed in lines which showed a negative response to priming and a decrease in germination, but also a more rapid radicle protrusion, as compared to the control. In conclusion, there is no universal applicability of one single primer as it might cause a negative response in some lines and thus reduce seed quality., Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je da se ispita efekat prajmera na parametre kvaliteta semena pri različitim početnim vrednostima klijavosti. Conversely, dry weather with high air temperatures at the time of pod formation and subsequent seed filling had a negative effect on yield formation, resulting in an average soybean yield of about 1.5 t/ha, i.e. more than 50 % lower than the yield obtained in 2016. The 2017 soybean harvest started in late August and ended during September. The seed moisture recorded in post-harvest seeds ranged from 7.1 % to 13.9 %. Seed germination ability was found to be greater than 85 % in most of the post-harvest seeds. Soybean seed processing has been carried out in a timely manner, without major disturbances.
AB  - Za razliku od rekordne proizvodnje soje u 2016. godini, koju su pratili izuzetno povoljni klimatski uslovi spoljne sredine, za 2017. ne može se reći da je pogodovala proizvodnji ove biljne vrste. Zbog veoma hladnog i kišnog proleća, period klijanja i nicanja značajno je produžen, međutim, zahvaljujući kvalitetnom semenu, usevi su dobro ponikli, pri čemu su ostvareni željeni sklopovi. Početak vegetacionog perioda obeležen je obilnijim padavinama i temperaturom vazduha koja je bila na nivou višegodišnjeg proseka. Međutim, period formiranja mahuna i kasnije nalivanja semena (kritični period) bio je sušan i praćen visokim temperaturama vazduha, što je imalo negativne posledice po formiranje prinosa. Zbog toga je ostvareni prosečni prinos soje od oko 1,5 t/ha bio manji za više od 50% u odnosu na 2016. godinu. Žetva soje započela je krajem avgusta meseca, a ovaj posao završen je tokom septembra. Vlažnost požnjevenog semena bila je u rasponu od 7,1% do 13,9%. Ipak, najveći deo semena zaprimljen je u doranim centrima sa vlažnošću između 9% i 12%, što je jako važno s obzirom na mehaničke osobine semena soje. Najveći deo semena požnjeven je sa klijavošću većom od 85%. Na kraju, može se zaključiti da je ostvareni kvalitet naturalnog semena dobar, a da će požnjevena količina semena nakon dorade biti dovoljna za setvu soje u 2018. godini. Dorada semena soje počela je na vreme i bez većih problema. Prve analize kvaliteta dorađenog semena potvrđuju očekivanja da će proizvođači soje ove godine imati na raspolaganju kvalitetno seme.

AB  - Protekla godina nije bila povoljna za proizvodnju soje zbog pojave suše praćene visokim temperaturama. Prema nezvaničnim podacima soja je u 2015. godini bila zasejana na blizu 200.000 ha, a ostvareni prosečan prinos je ispod višegodišnjeg proseka (2,5 t/ha). Prinosi su veoma varirali, ne samo u odnosu na različite regione gajenja, već i u istim regionima, zavisno od parcele. Veoma niski prinosi zabeleženi su na parcelama sa lošijim zemljištem, usled propusta u primeni agrotehničkih mera i pojave grinja koje su na pojedinim parcelama izazvale značajne štete na usevima soje.

Optimal time of soybean seed priming and primer effect under salt stress conditions

AB  - The aim of this study was to examine optimal time of soybean seed priming and effect of primers under salt stress conditions. Testing was performed at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, on Galina seed variety. Optimal priming time was determined by immersing seed into: KNO3 (1%), H2O2 (0.1%), and H2O with the duration of 6 h, 12 h, 18 h, and 24 h. After drying until the initial moisture, the seed was placed for germination and after eight days germination was determined. In the second part of the experiment, the seed was immersed into: KNO3 (1%), H2O2 (0,1%), and H2O after which their effect on germination energy and seed germination under simulated salinity conditions was examined. Simulated salinity conditions represented substrate for germination to which NaCl in different concentrations was added (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 mM). Results of the research showed that the six-hour priming of seed was the best with all primers. The percentage of seed germination linearly reduced with the increase of priming time. The research has shown that seed priming represents a favorable technique for the reduction of a negative effect of NaCl on germination energy and soybean seed germination, and the best effect is accomplished with the use of KNO3.
AB  - Cilj rada bio je da se ispita optimalno vreme potapanja semena soje i njegov efekat u uslovima sonog stresa. Testiranje je sprovedeno u Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Novom Sadu na semenu sorte Galina. Optimalno vreme utvrđeno je potapanjem semena u prajmere: KNO3 (1%), H2O2 (0,1%) i H2O u trajanju od 6 h, 12 h, 18 h i 24 h. Posle sušenja do prvobitne vlage, seme je stavljeno na naklijavanje, a nakon 8 dana utvrđena je klijavost. U drugom ogledu seme je potapano u prajmere: KNO3 (1%), H2O2 (0,1%) i H2O, a nakon toga ispitivan je njihov efekat na energiju klijanja i klijavost semena u uslovima simulirane zaslanjenosti. Simulirane uslove zaslanjenosti predstavljale su podloge za naklijavanje kojima je dodat rastvor NaCl u različitim koncentracijama (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 mM). Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da je najbolje šestočasovno potapanje semena kod svih prajmera. Sa povećanjem vremena potapanja linearno se smanjuje procenat klijavosti semena. Istraživanja su pokazala i da potapanje semena predstavlja povoljnu tehniku za smanjenje negativnog uticaja NaCl na energiju klijanja i klijavost semena soje, a najbolji efekat ostvaren je upotrebom KNO3.

AB  - The objective of this paper was to examine the effect of seed lot, sowing date, and priming on germination and vigour of soybean seed. Three different seed lots of an old soybean variety (Lot 1, Lot 2, Lot 3) created at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad were used. There were three sowing dates: 10 April, 20 May and 20 June. KNO3 (1%), H2O2 (0.1%), GA3 (0.075%) and distilled water were used as primers. The results showed that soaking the seed prior to sowing, so called priming, positively affected seed germination and vigour in all three lots and with all three sowing dates. The best effect was accomplished with Lot 1 and sowing on the third date. With regards to primers, the best effect was achieved with the application of KNO3 and H2O2 solutions. Research has shown that even soaking the seed in distilled water, which is a simple, cheap, and ecological method of priming, in most cases leads to improvement of germination and vigour of soybean seed.
AB  - Cilj ovog rada bilo je ispitivanje uticaja partije, rokova setve i rastvora za potapanje na klijavost i životnu sposobnost semena soje. Kao materijal poslužile su tri partije semena soje (partija 1, partija 2, partija 3) stvorene u Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Novom Sadu. Setva je izvršena u tri roka: 10. aprila, 20. maja i 20. juna. Kao rastvori za potapanje korišćeni su KNO3 (1%), H2O2 (0,1%), GA3 (0,075%) i destilovana voda. Rezultati su pokazali da je potapanje semena pre setve (prajmiranje) imalo povoljan uticaj na klijavost i životnu sposobnost semena kod sve tri partije, ali i kod sva tri roka setve. Najbolji efekat ostvaren je kod partije 1 i setvom u trećem roku. Primenom rastvora kalijum-nitrata, odnosno vodonikperoksida postignut je najbolji efekat. Istraživanja su pokazala da čak i potapanje semena u destilovanu vodu, što predstavlja jednostavan, jeftin i ekološki metod, u većini slučajeva dovodi do poboljšanja klijavosti i životne sposobnosti semena soje.

Soybean seed germination and initial seedling growth as affected by seed size

AB  - Soybean seed size can have a major effect on the quality of seeds. Beside the effect that seed size has on 1000-grain weight, it can also affect other seed quality parameters. Some authors suggest it can be expected that larger seeds have better quality. Seeds with higher content of reserve nutrients provide better developed plants, so it is possible to expect higher yields. Since the soybean seed does not have the minimum dimension of certified seed prescribed by law, it is necessary to examine the minimum size of seed that gives good enough results at planting, growth and development of plants. On the basis of these indicators, set up of cleaners and selection of work sieves cleaners during processing of soybean seed should be accessed. Soybean has a roundish shape, so it is possible to calibrate by a simple procedure using sieves of different sizes and openings. The effect of certain sizes on the soybean seed germination and initial growth of seedlings of varieties which are characterized by different seed sizes was tested in this work. On that occasion the varieties Balkan, Victoria and Trijumf, which were developed at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad were used. Dry matter content in the plant was used as an indicator of initial seedling growth. It was found that the dry matter content of seedlings increases with larger sizes, compared to dry matter content of smaller sizes. Thus, the lowest value was recorded in the variety Trijumf, for the size of 4.0 to 4.5 mm 4.7 g, while the highest value was recorded also in the variety Trijumf for the size of 6.0 to 6.5 mm 8.1 g. In addition, it was observed that the germination of seed of different sizes has different values. The lowest values were recorded in Balkan variety for the size of 4.0 to 4.5 mm 64%, while the highest germination was recorded in the variety Victoria for the size of 5.5 to 6.0 mm 85%.
AB  - Krupnoća semena soje može da ima veliki uticaj na kvalitet semena. Pored toga što veličina zrna utiče na masu hiljadu zrna, takođe može da utiče i na druge parametere kvaliteta semena. Literaturni izvori navode na zaključak da se može očekivati da je krupnije seme kvalitetnije. Seme sa većim sadržajem rezervnih hranljivih materija daje razvijeniju biljku pa je moguće očekivati i veće prinose. S obzirom da kod semena soje nije zakonom propisana minimalna dimenzija deklarisanog semena, potrebno je ispitati koja minimalna dimenzija semena daje dovoljno dobre rezultate u setvi, porastu i razvoju biljke. Na osnovu tih pokazatelja bi trebalo pristupiti podešavanju prečistača i odabiru radnih sita prečistača tokom dorade semena soje. Seme soje ima okruglast oblik pa je moguće kalibraciju uraditi jednostavnim postupkom pomoću sita različitih dimenzija i otvora. U radu je ispitan uticaj određenih frakcija na klijavost semena soje i početnog porasta ponika za sorte koje se karakterišu različitom krupnoćom zrna. Tom prilikom su korišćene sorte Balkan, Victoria i Trijumf, koje su stvorene u Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo iz Novog Sada. Kao pokazatelj početnog porasta ponika korišćen je sadržaj suve materije u biljci. Utvrđeno je da se sadržaj suve materije ponika povećava kod krupnijih frakcija u odnosu na sadržaj suve materije kod sitnijih frakcija.Tako je najmanja vrednost zabeležena kod sorte Trijumf za frakciju 4,0-4,5 mm od 4,7 g, dok je najveća vrednost zabeležena takođe kod sorte Trijumf za frakciju 6,0-6,5 mm od 8,1g. Pored toga, uočeno je da klijavost semena različitih frakcija semena ima različite vrednosti. Preliminary validation of soybean germination test

AB  - On the basis of experience from practice, it is observed certain level of disagreement between results of laboratory germination test (ISTA) and filed emergency of soybean. This research should evaluate and validate power of prediction of standard laboratory test of soybean seed germination. Experiment included three soybean varieties from three seed lots. Sample from each lot were sieve fractionated and obtained five sub-samples of different seed size. From each subsample, laboratory germination were determinates, and all subsamples were planted in the field for field emergency evaluation. It was observed influence of thousand seed weight (TSW) on results of laboratory germination test, where the highest germination was observed for TSW between 165 and 172g. This relation was not confirmed in field experiment. In order to sample the predictive power lab test, considered the absolute difference between the lab germination and field emergence (delta).

AB  - Current NS soybean varieties are of satisfactory technological quality, and also significant technological diversity. Varieties Triumf and Venera possess higher oil content. Variety Sava has a balanced oil and protein content, and can be used for obtaining different soy products. Variety Rubin has the highest protein content and is suitable for new high protein products. Estimated processing value is a good parameter to describe the processing quality of soybeans. Based on several years and spatial analysis, it is possible to separate the geographic regions with prevailing favourable conditions for obtaining higher protein or oil content.
AB  - Aktuelni NS sortiment soje poseduje zadovoljavajući tehnološki kvalitet, a ističe se i raznovrsnost novosadskog sortimenta. Veći sadržaj ulja imaju sorte Trijumf i Venera. Sorta Sava poseduje veoma izbalansiran sadržaj ulja i proteina, tako da se u preradi može koristiti za dobijanje raznovrsnih proizvoda od soje, a sorta Rubin ima najveći sadržaj proteina i pogodna je za dobijanje visokoproteinskih proizvoda. Procenjena prerađivačka vrednost predstavlja dobar parametar za opisivanje tehnološkog kvaliteta soje. U cilju ispitivanja tehnološkog kvaliteta NS sorti soje postavljen je ogled sa dvanaest NS sorti soje na osam lokaliteta. Analiziran je prinos zrna, sadržaj proteina i sadržaj ulja u zrnu soje. Prosečan prinos se kretao od 2969 kg ha-1 na lokalitetu Ruma do 3873 kg ha-1 na lokalitetu Bačka Topola. Sadržaj proteina je varirao od 37% na lokalitetu Pančevo do 38,7% na lokalitetu Bačka Topola, dok je sadržaj ulja bio najmanji na lokalitetu Sombor (21,4%), a najveći na lokalitetu Zrenjanin (22,5%).

The aim of this study was to determine the most-yielding NS soybean varieties for the agro-ecological conditions of Pančevo area in Serbia. This paper shows the analysis of yield and quality parameters of eight NS soybean varieties of I maturity group. Plot trial was carried out in Pančevo in 2011. All analyzed NS varieties achieved high yields. The highest average grain yield, and protein and oil yield was achieved by the new soybean variety NS Maximus (4,403 kg ha-1; 1,644 kg ha-1 and 1,023 kg ha-1, respectively) and line NS-L-210 391 (4,371 kg ha-1; 1,613 kg ha-1 and 973 kg ha-1, respectively), while the lowest yield was achieved by Diva (3,119 kg ha-1, 1,163 kg ha-1 and 701 kg ha-1, respectively). Average yield for these soybean varieties was 3,701 kg ha-1. NS Maximus recorded significantly higher yield than other tested varieties, except the line NS-L-210391. NS Maximus and NS-L-414260 achieved significantly higher oil content than the other tested cultivars, while NS-L-210385 had the highest protein content.
AB  - U skladu sa zahtevima tržišta u Odeljenju za soju, Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo Novi Sad radi se na oplemenjivanju visoko produktivnih sorti soje i sorti visokog kvaliteta zrna. Cilj istraživanja bio je da se odrede najprinosnije NS sorte soje za agroekološke uslove Pančeva i okoline. U radu su prikazani rezultati analize prinosa i parametara kvaliteta osam NS sorti i linija soje I grupe zrenja. Mikroogled je izveden u Pančevu tokom 2011. godine. Sve testirane sorte ostvarile su visoke prinose. AB  - Knowledge of mechanical properties of agricultural materials is important for designing and exploitation of agricultural machines and equipment, as well as for successful preservation of biological values of seed during drying, processing and storage. As the shape of soybean seeds is generally round, they can be graded by a simple procedure, using different sieve settings. In this study we assessed the impact of seed grade on the mechanical properties of seed of the soybean varieties which differed in seed size. The initial tangent modulus of elasticity and maximum rupture force were used as indices of mechanical properties of seed, and they were discussed in detail in the paper. The values of the initial tangent modulus of elasticity went down as seed size increased. The lowest value, 9.26 N/mm2, was recorded for grade 6.0 to 6.5 mm in the variety Balkan. The highest value, 18.84 N/mm2, was recorded for grade 4.0 to 4.5 mm in the variety Victoria. Unlike the values of the initial tangent modulus of elasticity, the values of maximum rupture force increased in proportion with increase in seed size. The highest value, 176.18 N, was recorded for grade 5.5 to 6.0 mm in the variety Victoria, and the lowest value, 92.15 N, was recorded for grade 4.0 to 4.5 mm in the variety Balkan. .
AB  - Poznavanje mehaničkih osobina poljoprivrednih materijala je veoma važno prilikom konstruisanja i eksploatacije poljoprivrednih mašina i opreme ali je neophodno i za očuvanje bioloških vrednosti semena prilikom sušenja, skladištenja i procesa dorade. Seme soje na osnovu fizičkih osobina ima okruglast oblik pa je moguće kalibraciju uraditi jednostavnim postupkom pomoću sita raznih dimenzija i otvora. U radu je ispitan uticaj frakcija na mehaničke osobine semena soje za sorte koje se karakterišu različitom krupnoćom zrna. Kao pokazatelji mehaničkih osobina semena korišćeni su početni tangentni modul elastičnosti i maksimalna sila razaranja koji su detaljno prikazani u radu. Vrednosti početnog tangentnog modula elastičnosti su sa povećanjem dimenzije zrna imale manje vrednosti. Tako je najmanja vrednost zabeležena kod sorte Balkan za frakciju 6,0-6,5 mm od 9,26 N/mm2, dok je najveća vrednost zabeležena kod sorte Victoria za frakciju 4,0-4,5 mm od 18,84 N/mm2.Za razliku od početnog tangentnog modula elastičnosti, vrednosti maksimalne sile razaranja su se povećavale sa povećanjem dimenzija semena, tako da je najveća vrednost zabeležena kod sorte Victoria za frakciju 5,5-6,0 mm od 176,18 N dok je najmanja vrednost zabeležena kod sorte Balkan za frakciju 4,0-4,5mm od 92,15 N. .

AB  - Grain protein content in five soybean cultivars was determined in a two-year field experiment. The soybean cultivars belong to different maturity groups (O, I and II) and they represent the current cultivars in our country. Significant differences were found in protein content depending on cultivar and year. It seems that this is a cultivar property, but is also under a very strong environmental influence. The results show that there are significant differences between cultivars, while the average protein content ranged from 36.52% (Venera) to 39.76% (Proteinka). The year 2008 was significantly more favourable than 2009 for protein synthesis. Considerable variability in protein content among cultivars (CV=3.04%) indicates the possibility of further increase of the analyzed property.
AB  - U dvogodišnjem poljskom ogledu utvrđen je sadržaj proteina u zrnu pet sorti soje različite dužine vegetacije (0, I i II grupe zrenja), koje trenutno čine aktuelni sortiment u našoj zemlji. Utvrđene su znatne razlike u sadržaju proteina u zavisnosti od sorte i godine. Proizilazi da je ovo svojstvo sortna osobina, ali da je takođe pod vrlo jakim uticajem ekoloških faktora. Rezultati pokazuju da postoje značajne razlike između genotipova, pri čemu se sadržaj proteina u proseku kretao od 36,52 % (Venera) do 39,76 % (Proteinka). Za sintezu proteina znatno povoljnija bila je 2008. u odnosu na 2009. Varijabilnost u sadržaju proteina između genotipova (CV=3,04 %) ukazuje na dalju mogućnost povećanja analiziranog svojstva.

AB  - During 2007 and 2008, influence of fertilizer application on soybean yield was investigated. Research was conducted based on three soybean varieties from different maturity groups: Galina, (maturity group 0), Diva (I) and Mima (II). A trial with three replications was conducted at the experimental field of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops at Rimski Šančevi. Lower doses of nitrogen fertilizer had a beneficial effect on soybean yield, while the higher ones had no positive effect. The foliar application of complex fertilizer had the best effect on soybean yield.
AB  - Tokom 2007. i 2008. godine proučavan je uticaj đubrenja na prinos soje. U istraživanju su uključene tri sorte soje različitih grupa zrenja: Galina (grupa zrenja 0), Diva (I) i Mima (II). Ogled je postavljen u tri ponavljanja, na parceli Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo na Rimskim Šančevima. Utvrđeno je da niže doze azotnih đubriva pozitivno utiču na prinos soje, dok povećane doze đubriva nemaju pozitivan efekat na prinos. Primenom folijarnog, kompleksnog đubriva ostvareni su najviši prinosi soje.

AB  - 'Agroinstitut' in Sombor was founded in 1956. With its successful work for over 50 years, it has become a significant name locally as well as regionally. 'Agroinstitut' analyses field crops production in Sombor area (municipalities of Sombor, Apatin, and Odžaci). In Sombor area main field crops grown are: corn, winter wheat, sugar beet, soybean and sunflower, occupying about 80% of all acreage. Yields and acreages of five main field crops were observed, in the period from 1998. to 2007. During this period, in Sombor area there were significant annual variations in yield and acreages. Acreage variations are due to agronomic, economic and marketing conditions.
AB  - Somborski 'Agroinstitut' osnovan je 1956. godine. Svojim uspešnim radom, od preko 50 godina, postao je značajno ime kako kod nas tako i šire. 'Agroinstitut' prati ratarsku proizvodnju u regionu Sombora, (opštine Sombor, Apatin i Odžaci). U regionu Sombora, gaje se osnovne ratarske kulture: kukuruz, pšenica ozima, šećerna repa, soja i suncokret. One su u strukturi setve zastupljene sa oko 80%. U radu su praćene površine i prinosi pet osnovnih ratarskih kultura, u periodu od 1998. do 2007. godine. Kada se posmatraju i analiziraju površine i prinosi osnovnih ratarskih kultura, tokom istraživanog perioda, u regionu Sombor zapaža se značajno variranje od godine do godine. Variranje u površinama može se pored agronomskih pripisati ekonomskim i tržišnim uslovima.

AB  - In our processing centre there are several storage types for soybean seed storage and it is very important to know which storage type exerts the most significant influence on seed quality, i.e. which storage type is appropriate for seed storage. This matter is most important for soybean because soybean seed is very difficult for storage. Six types of storage of soybean seed prior to processing were investigated (ground storage, storage with concrete cell, storage with metal cell, storage with 'Kongskilde' cell, seed storage in large transport, 'jambo' bags, and control, soybean seed processed directly after harvesting). Obtained results revealed that there were differences in quality of processed soybean seed depending on the storage type. Also, the influence of moisture content of harvested seed on quality of processed seed was observed, and higher influence was noticed in seed with low moisture. .
AB  - S obzirom da u našim doradnim centrima postoji nekoliko tipova skladišta u kojima se čuva seme soje pre dorade, neophodno je poznavati koji tipovi skladišta utiču više ili manje na kvalitet semena, odnosno koja su skladišta povoljna za čuvanje semena. Ovo pitanje je od izuzetnog značaja kod soje jer je poznato da ona spada u grupu biljaka čije se seme veoma teško čuva. Istraživanje je obuhvatilo šest tipova skladištenja semena soje pre dorade (podni magacin, skladište sa betonskim ćelijama, skladište sa metalnim ćelijama, skladište sa 'Kongskilde' ćelijama, seme skladišteno u velike transportne, 'džambo', vreće), kao i kontrolu, odnosno seme soje koje je odmah posle žetve dorađivano. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na postojanje razlike u kvalitetu dorađenog semena soje, u zavisnosti od tipa skladištenja pre dorade. Takođe je ispitivan i uticaj sadržaja vlage u semenu soje prilikom žetve na kvalitet dorađenog semena, pri čemu je utvrđen veći uticaj kod semena sa nižom vlažnošću. .

AB  - In a three-year trial the influence of the applied nitrogen under previous crop and the inoculation of seeds by Nitragin (microbiological agent) on the yield and thousand grain weight of soybean was studied. Inoculation of seeds contributed to a statistically highly significant yield increase in three years, while the mass of a thousand seeds was statistically very significantly higher in the two years of research. Nitrogen rate of 100 kgha-1 lead to increased yield, and nitrogen applied in quantities of 200 kgha-1 reduced soybean seed yield. .
AB  - U trogodišnjem ogledu proučavan je uticaj azota primenjenog pod predusev i inokulacije semena mikrobiološkim preparatom Nitragin na prinos i masu hiljadu zrna soje. Inokulacija semena doprinela je statistički veoma značajnom povećanju prinosa u sve tri godine, dok je masa hiljadu semena bila statistički veoma značajno veća u dve godine istraživanja. Doze azota od 100 kg ha-1 dovode do povećanja prinosa, dok azot primenjen u količini od 200 kg ha-1 smanjuje prinos semena soje. .

AB  - Quality and timely application of technology relating to plant growing, agrometeorogical conditions greatly determine as well as soybean production. Looking back we can say that we had three favorable years for soybean production excluding 2007. Vegetation period of 2007 was characterized by three stress periods causing decrease in yield. Unfavorable conditions prevailed during sowing and emerging, and then during grain filling, and finally even during harvesting. This year was characterized by variation in yield among regions and among plots as well. Soybean yield ranged from below one hectare to up to four tons per hectare. Besides hydrometeorogical conditions soybean, yield was influenced by soil type, time of sowing, applied growing technology, and the maturity group of the variety in question.
AB  - Proizvodnju soje značajno određuju kako kvalitet i pravovremenost primenjene tehnologije gajenja, tako i agrometeorološki uslovi godine. Gledajući unazad, imali smo tri povoljne godine za proizvodnju soje, što se ne može reći za 2007. godinu. Vegetacioni period 2007. godine karakterišu tri stresna perioda koji su uticali na smanjenje prinosa. Nepovoljni uslovi vladali su tokom setve i nicanja, zatim tokom nalivanja zrna, i na kraju i tokom žetve. Ovu godinu karakteriše variranje prinosa po rejonima ali i po parcelama. Prinos soje bio je u rasponu od ispod jedne, pa do četiri tone po hektaru. Osim hidrometeoroloških uslova, na visinu prinosa uticali su tip zemljišta, vreme setve, primenjena tehnologija gajenja, kao i grupa zrenja gajene sorte.

AB  - Bromcorn fiber length is determined by measuring the distance between the point at which the fibers start to branch out and the tip of at least two thirds of all the fibers present in a given panicle. This is a very important morphological trait, as it determines the success of the panicle harvest. A two-year investigation was carried out in order to determine the influence of different stand densities on fiber length levels in two broomcorn genotypes. Two row-to-row spacing (50 and 70 cm) and six plant-to- plant ones (5, 9, 13, 17, 21, and 25 cm) were studied. Fiber length was the smallest (42.6 and 45.2 cm) with the highest stand densities, and it increased with increasing plant growing space (63.7 cm and 71.0 cm). .
AB  - Dužina peteljki sirkovih metlica predstavlja rastojanje između tačke grananja peteljki i mesta gde se nalazi vrh najmanje 2/3 od ukupnog broja peteljki. Ovo je veoma bitna morfološka osobina biljaka sirka metlaša, od koje zavisi uspešnost žetve sirkovih metlica. U cilju sagledavanja promene dužine peteljki sirkovih metlica u zavisnosti od različitog sklopa biljaka, izvršena su dvogodišnja istraživanja sa dva genotipa sirka metlaša. Ispitivana su dva međuredna razmaka od 50 i 70 cm i šest različitih razmaka biljaka u redu, (5, 9, 13, 17, 21 i 25 cm). Dužina peteljki bila je najmanja pri najgušćim sklopovima 42,59 i 45,22 cm, dok je sa povećanjem vegetacionog prostora dužina peteljki bila sve veća - 63,72 i 71,04 cm.
