The quitch grass as a source of resistant genes to wheat rusts

U radu je prikazana efikasnost Sr24, Sr25, 8126 i Lr19, Lr24 i L29 gena
otpornosti poreklom iz pirevine prema stabljicnoj i lisnoj rdi psenice. Istaknuta
je visoka efikasnost Sr24 i Sr26 gena prema razlititim patotipovima Puccinia graminis
tritici u fazi sejanaca, kao i njihova niska efikasnost u odraslom stadijumu
u lokalitetima Kragujevac i Zajetar. Prema Puccinia recondita tritici vrlo efikasni
su bili Lr19 i Lr24 geni. U nasoj populaciji parazita nije bilo alela virulentnosti
za Lr19 gen. Geni iz pirevine (posebno Agropyron elongatum) su veoma znatajni
u selekcionom programu psenice kao donori Sr i Lr gena otpornosti prema
rdama.
In the paper showed effectiveness of Sr24, Sr25, Sr26 and Lr19, Lr24 and Lr29 resistance genes from the quitch grass 1o ‘wheat stem and leaf rust. It is pointed out on high effectiveness Sr24 and Sr26 genes to different pathotypes of Puccinia graminis tritici in_the seedling stage, as a theirs low effectiveness at adult stage in the locations Kragujevac and Zajetar. Very effective to Puccinia recondita tritici were Lr19 and Lr24 genes. In our population of parasites there is no virulence alele to Lr19 gene. Genes from the quitch grass (especialy Agropyron elongatun) are very important in breeding program of wheat, as dodonors Sr and Lr genes of resistance to rusts.
