dc.description.abstractThree lines of winter wheat created in the Novi Sad Institute with relatively higher resistance to scab were crossed with aim to accumulate genes for incomplete resistance to Puccinia recondita tritici, too. According to latent period 50 and maximal pustule numbers (MPN) in F2 progenies in the seedling stage, improvement (more resistant transgressive genotypes than parents) was achieved in combinations with NS 2-3100 when the inheritance of the resistance was dominant. Correlation between LP 50 and MPN in F2 is week and middle, so it is possible that some of the genes in interactions have pleotropic effects. In parental genotypes prolonged LP 50 is connected with small MPN.en
