The oil extraction from oilseed rape seed leaves behind meal, with a crude protein content of about 40 % and a lysine content near to the one in soya bean meal, that could represent an excellent protein source in animal feeding. A small-plot trial has been carried out at the Experimental Field of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops at Rimski Šančevi from August 1997 to June 2000, including ten winter cultivars of oilseed rape of diverse geographical origin. The highest seed yield per both plant and area unit was in Sremica (11.48 g and 6027 kg ha-1), while the lowest seed yield per both plant and area unit was in Aligator (7.64 g and 4011 kg ha-1). The crude protein content in Sremica (219 g kg-1) was significantly higher at both levels than in all other examined cultivars. Crude protein yield varied between 782 kg ha-1 in Aligator and 1320 kg ha-1 in Sremica.
Nakon ekstrakcije ulja iz semena uljane repice, ostaje sačma, sa sadržajem sirovih proteina od oko 40 % i sadržajem lizina bliskim onom u sojinoj sačmi koja može da predstavlja izvrstan izvor proteina u ishrani domaćih životinja. U mikroogledu, izvedenom na Oglednom polju Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo na Rimskim Šančevima, od avgusta 1997. do juna 2000. godine ispitivano je deset ozimih sorti uljane repice različitog geografskog porekla. Najviši prinos semena po biljci i po jedinici površine ostvarila je sorta Sremica (11,48 g i 6027 kg ha-1), dok je najniže vrednosti ostvarila sorta Aligator (7,64 g i 4011 kg ha-1). Sadržaj sirovih proteina kod sorte Sremica (219 g kg-1) bio je značajno viši na oba nivoa značajnosti u odnosu na sve ostale sorte. Prinos sirovih proteina kretao se između 782 kg ha-1 kod sorte Aligator i 1320 kg ha-1 kod sorte Sremica.
