Abstract
Bean genotypes have been studied for divergence in three components of plant height and five direct yield components. The genotypes are part of the bean collection of Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad and Bank of Plant Genes of Yugoslavia. Among the quantitative traits, the number of seeds per plant and the number of pods per plant were most variable, followed by seed mass per plant. Using the method of nonhierarchical clustering, the genotypes were classified into 6 groups according to all studied traits. The studied genotype collection was found to be genetically divergent for the most important traits.
