dc.description.abstract | In order to select superior hybrids multilocation trials are organized to evaluate genotype, environment and genotype x environment interaction. The sites regression (SREG) model combined with biplot technique, also known as Genotype Main effects and Genotype by Environment interaction effects (GGE), is useful visual method for evaluation of both, genotype and genotype x environment interaction. In the last decade this model is widely used among researchers for evaluation of genotype performance, as well as delineation of mega-environments. The aim of this research was to evaluate interaction effects on seed yield productivity of NS (Novi Sad) sunflower hybrids grown in diverse environments in South-East Europe and to identify mega-environments. Research included eighteen NS sunflower hybrids grown across sixteen environments in three consecutive years. Test environments were located in Serbia and Romania and differ in climatic conditions as well as in soil composition. As an outcome of the study GGE biplot visualized NS-H-16, NS-H-14, NS-H-6 and NS-H-8 as hybrids with the highest average seed yield. | sr |
