Effect of species and variety on the contents of macro-elements and microelements in lettuce
Uticaj vrste i sorte na sadržaj mineralnih materija kod salata
Abstract
Leafy vegetables rich in vitamins, minerals and other biologically active substances have a special place in human nutrition. They include a group of yellow-green vegetables, e.g., Lactuca sativa var. foliosa, Cichorium endivia and Cichorium inthybus war. foliosum. A production trial has been established in the Vojvodina province (the village of Kisač near Novi Sad), on a chernozem soil, in order to study the contents of macro-elements and microelements in lettuce species. A two-year study (1998-1999) showed that Cichorium endivia, the variety Maral, had the largest mass of marketable product, while Cichorium inlhybus var. foliosum, variety Rossa di Treviso had the highest percent of dry matter. The leafy lettuces had high contents of K, P and Mg, endive varieties had high contents of Ca. Cichorium endivia and Cichorium inthibus var. foliosum had increased contents of N in relation to K. Cichorium inthybus var. foliosum was found to have a high N requirement. The variety Rossa di Trevi...so was distinguished for the highest contents of N, K, Zn and Mn. .
Posebno mesto u ishrani ima salatno povrće bogato vitaminima, mineralnim materijama i drugim biološki aktivnim materijama. Specijalan značaj ima grupa žuto-zelenog povrća gde spadaju Lacluca saliva var. foliosa, Cichorium endivia i Cichorium inthybus var. foliosum. U cilju ispitivanja sadržaja mineralnih materija kod salata postavljen je proizvodni ogled u Vojvodini (Kisač kod Novog Sada), na zemljištu tipa černozem. Na osnovu dvogodišnjih ispitivanja (1998-1999), po sadržaju mineralnih materija se ističu: Lacluca saliva var foliosa sa sortama Rossiu (P, Mg), Lollo Rossa (Fe), Brezov list (Cu); Cichorium endivia sorta Maral (Cd); Cichorium inthybus var. foliosum sorte Rosa di treviso (N, K, Zn, Mn).
