AB  - There are three "golden" oilseeds in the world: soybeans, sunflowers and oil flax. Flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) is an economically important oilseed because seed of flax has an excellent nutritional composition, has a high oil content (40-50%), protein (19-25%), sugar (22-35%) and mineral salts (2-3%). It is also rich in omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins (A, D, E, K, B1,2,3,6,9), minerals (Ca, K, Mg, Mn, Zn, Fe, F, Se) and lignans, which is of great importance in medicine, has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. The aim of this study was to examine the productivity of the variety NS Primus, grown in Novi Sad, on chernozem soil, in the production year 2020. Previous crop was winter wheat. Sowing was done in early March with a sowing rate of 60 kg ha-1. Optimal crop care measures were applied during the vegetation period. The harvest was done in the technological maturity of the crop, on September 15, 2020. The variety “NS Primus” has created excellent performance, the grain yield was 2210 kg ha-1, while the oil yield was 750 kg ha-1. Based on the above, we conclude that the sowing of oil flax “NS Primus” 
achieves economically justified production.

AB  - Characteristic types of wetland grasslands in Serbia and Srpska are: Phalaridetum arundinaceae, Beckmanietum erucaeformis, Caricetum vulpinae-ripariae, Agrostidetum-Juncetum effusi, Molinietum coeruleae, Deschampsietum caespitosae and others. Hay yields range, without the application of fertilizers, from 3.5 t / ha to 4.5 t / ha. The following types of natural grassland are most common in the valley-lowland area: Cynosuretum cristati, Alopecuretum pratensis, Arrhenatheretum elatioris, Agrostidetum albae, Festucetum pratensis, Agrostidetum vulgarae, Festucetum pseudovinae. Hay yields range on average, without the application of fertilizers, on the pastures 2.0 t / ha and on the natural grassland 3.2 t / ha. Types of natural grassland and pastures represented in the hilly area are: Agrostidetum vulgarae, Agrostideto-Chrysopogonetum grylli, Chrysopogonetum grylli, Danthonietum calycinae, Festucetum vallesiacae and Brometum erecti.

AB  - Engleski ljulj (Lolium perenne L.) pripada porodici bokorastih trava (Poaceae) i sa agronomskog aspekta predstavlja najvažniju vrstu trava za pašnjake u umerenoj klimi. Ogledi sa engleskim ljuljom izvedeni su u agroekološkim uslovima Šumadije na lokalitetu Darosava, u trogodišnjem periodu, 2012-2014 godina. U ispitivanom vremenskom periodu, prosečna klijavost semena iznosila je 66%. Najveća prosečna vrednost ukupne klijavosti semena tokom eksperimenta postignuta je 2013. godine (93,6%) dok je najmanja ukupna klijavost semena zabeležena u 2014. godini (66,1%). Na ovaj parametar snažan uticaj imale su količine padavina. Druga godina ispitivanja bila je najpovoljnija za semensku proizvodnju engleskog ljulja. Razmak redova i prolećno đubrenje azotom značajno su uticali na ukupnu klijavost semena engleskog ljulja. Sa povećanjem udaljenosti ili količine upotrebljenog đubriva, vrednost ukupnog klijanja semena je rasla tokom svih testiranih godina. Uticaj setvene norme je bio suprotan, sa povećanjem količine semena dolazilo je do smanjenja ukupne klijavosti u sve tri godine.
AB  - Perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) belongs to the family of bunchgrasses (Poaceae) and from the agronomical point of view it represents most important type of grass for pastures in temperate climates. Experiments with perennial ryegrass were performed in agroecological conditions of Šumadija, locality Darosava in period of three years (2012-2014). The examined period, the highest average seed germination was 66%. Highest average value of total seed germination during the experiment is achieved in 2013th (93.6%), until lowest total seed germination is noticed in 2014th (66.1%). Precipitation parameters had a strong influence on this parameter. Second year of experiment was the most favorable for perennial grass seed production. Distance between rows and spring fertilization of nitrogen had a significant influence on total seed germination of perennial ryegrass. With increasing of distances or quantity of used fertilizer, value of total seed germination has grown during all testing years. The impact of sowing rate was the opposite, with increasing of seed quantity there was a decrease in total germination in all three years.

AB  - In this paper are shown the results of the production characteristics of the perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) cv. `Naki', which grown in rows with different row spacing and seed rate in the agroecological conditions of central Serbia in three successive analysed years. Four levels of two observed factors were used in the experiment: row spacing (12.5; 25; 37.5 and 50 cm) and seed rate (9, 16, 23 and 30 kg ha(-1)). Due to the analyses, the height of the tiller, the length of the spike and the number of spikelets per spike gave better results by sowing in wider rows (37.5 and 50 cm) using lower seed rate (9 and 16 kg ha(-1)). Seed yield and harvest index responded favourably to sowing in rows at a wider row spacing (37.5 and 50 cm) in combination with a lower seed rate (9 and 16 kg ha(-1)), while shoot dry weight gave better results by sowing in narrower rows (12.5 cm) with lower seed rate (9 and 16 kg ha(-1)). Using the appropriate row spacing in sowing and the optimum of seed rate provides the highest results of the production characteristics of the perennial ryegrass that can be applied to further production.

AB  - In the study attempts to analyze soybean production and possibility obtaining biogas from soybean biomass, in order to obtain energy inputs into the profit function and realized a circular economy. This paper presents the results of five-year studies of soybean production analysis in the world and in Serbia, and was also examined soybeans morphoproductive characteristics and on the biogas yield, of the Favorit variety, produced in Pančevo, Serbia. Serbia has excellent conditions for soybeans production. The maximum soybean biomass yield of soybean variety Favorit was 5 t ha-1. The average biogas yield, for tested five years, was 368 m3ha-1. The biogas yield was in positive statistically significant correlations on the plant height (r=0.65*) and in positive correlations with biomass yield. Soybean cultivar with their characteristics justify the sowing and can be used as a raw material in bio-fuels production.

AB  - Biodiesel and biogas are especially important sources of renewable energy in the world and in Serbia. Biodiesel is used as transportation fuel; biogas is used for production of electricity and heat. Soybean (Glycine max L.) grain is the primary source of vegetable protein for food and feed supplements, also accounts for much of the world's bio-oil supply. Due to the development of new technologies for processing agricultural waste into energy, the rate of increase in the use of alternative fuels is significantly increasing. The aim of this study was to determine the productivity of soybeans and the possibility of obtaining biogas from soybeans in divergent years, 2017-2019. Main effects were monitored, genotypes (G), years (Y) and genotype by years interaction effects (G x Y) and were used for evaluation of soybean genotypes in different environments. Soybean varieties were tested for mass of 1000 grain (MTG), plant height (PH), grain yields (GY) and biogas yield (BY). Stability of grain and biogas yield was determined to select best genotype. Results showed that genotype and years had a significant impact on all measured variables. In all tested years, the biggest GY and BY were at genotypes G1 (2.40-4.49 t ha(-1), and 461.00-641.00 m(3) ha(-1), respectively) and G3 (1.97-4.30 t ha(-1); i.e. 447.67-620.00 m(3) ha(-1)). Genotype G2 had statistically significantly lower values for all tested parameters compared to other tested genotypes. Correlation analysis of some chosen traits showed different interdependence between measured variables depending on the year conditions. The results of this study pointed out that among best genotypes for production of grain and biogas were G1 and G3. From the results of this study it can be concluded that G x Y trials are important for evaluation of stability and choosing the most stable genotypes of soybean.

AB  - The influence of sowing method, growth regulator and harvest method on alfalfa seed yield was examined in three years (2015-2017), in locality near Belgrade, with using alfalfa variety NS Banat ZMS II. Research showed the statistically very significant effect of sowing method on seed yield, and the best average way for all three years period was 60 cm between rows of sowed seed. The growth regulator proved to be effective only in the rainy year, while harvesting crops previously treated with desiccant proved to beuseful, with the exception in the year of establishment when this difference was not statistically significant. Meteorological conditions had the highest influence on the seed yield, amount of precipitation in the vegetation period mostly, and the researched factors have proved to be useful in suppressing the consequences of poor weather. In years suitable for seed production, the recommendation for the production practice is an intermediate distance of 60 cm and the use of a desiccant.

AB  - Proso (Panicum miliaceum L.; Poaceae) je najstarija kultivisana kultura na svetu. Ostvaruje visoke prinose biomase i zrna i važan je izvor energije i proteina. Biogoriva, dobijena od biomase, imaju potencijal da zamene naftna goriva. Prioritet je dobiti osnovne sirovine i razviti proces proizvodnje biogoriva na ekonomičan način. Cilj ove studije bio je da se ispita produktivnost dve sorte prosa, Biserka i Rumenka, na černozemu. Ogled je izveden u Bačkom Petrovcu, na eksperimentalnom polju Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo, Novi Sad. U ispitivanoj godini obe sorte ostvarile su odlične agronomske karakteristike u proizvodnji zrna i u proizvodnji biomase. Visina biljaka varirala je od 0,94 do 1,17 m, masa biljaka varirala je od 18,34 do 21,37 g, masa metlice 5,69-7,84 g, duţina metlice 23,75- 24,50 cm, dok je masa semena po biljci varirala od 4,52 do 7,22 g. Istraţivanja su pokazala da je genetski faktor imao veoma značajan uticaj na visinu biljaka. Razlike izmeĎu prinosa semena po biljci prosa takoĎe su bile statistički značajne. Ispitivane sorte imale su dobre performanse, i ostvarena je rentabilna proizvodnja. Ovaj rad prikazuje mogućnost i izazov u razvoju alternativnih goriva i razmatra proces proizvodnje, korišćenja sirovine i primene aktuelnih projekata.
AB  - Millet (Panicum miliaceum L.; Poaceae) is the oldest cultivated

It is a priority to get basic raw materials and develop a biofuel production process in a cost-effective way. The aim of this study was to examine the productivity of two varieties of millet, Biserka and Rumenka, on chernozem. The experiment was performed in Backi Petrovac, on an experimental field of Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad. In the study year both varieties achieved excellent agronomic characteristics in the production of grain and in the production of biomass. Plant height varied from 0.94 to 1.17 m, the mass of the plants varied from 18.34 to 21.37 g, weight of spikelents 5.69-7.84 g, the length of spikelents 23.75-24.50 cm, while the seed mass per plant varied from
4.52 to 7.22 g. Research has shown that the genetic factor had a very significant impact on plant height. The differences between yields of seeds per millet plant were also statistically significant. The tested varieties had good performance, and was achieved profitable production. This paper presents the possibility and
challenge in the development of alternative fuels and considers the process of production, the use of raw materials and the application of current projects.

AB  - Phacelia tanacetifolia Benth. je važan izvor visokokvalitetnog nektara i polena za pčele. Osim toga, koristi se kao krmna i ukrasna biljka, za pokrovne useve, kao i za redukciju brojnosti nematoda u zemljištu (Popović i sar., 2017). Veliki značaj ima i u organskoj proizvodnji. AB  - Prirodni travnjaci predstavljaju važan izvor kvalitetne stočne hrane, pogotovo u brdsko-planinskim predelima Srbije. Đubrenjem travnjaka, pre svega azotom, koji je nosilac prinosa, u značajnoj meri se povećava prinos suve materije, a prema Mijatoviću i Pavešić-Popović (1972) utiče i na floristički sastav travnjaka. Eksperiment je izveden na prirodnom travnjaku Agrostietum vulgaris, u selu Leskovica, nedaleko od Valjeva. Poljski ogled je postavljen po slučajnom blok sistemu u 3 ponavljanja, sa veličinom parcelica od 10 m2, Đubrenje je sprovedeno početkom proleća, a u različitim kombinacijama korišćena su mineralna đubriva NPK (15:15:15) i KAN (27% N).

AB  - Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] is the most important legume because it is an essential source of dietary protein and oil for animal feed and food production. Good soil with wellplanned program of fertilization is the main factor of soybean production. Soybean yield will be reduced when essential nutrients are deficient. Sufficient soil fertility combined with a well-planned fertilization program is a main component for high soybean production. The aim of this investigation was to estimate the effects of fertilization and seed inoculation on height of soybean plant in humid year. Two factors were tested: 1. CAN fertilization and 2. seed inoculation. Four treatments of CAN fertilization were tested: Control - 0 kg N ha-1; 50 kg N ha-1; 100 kg N ha-1 and 150 kg N ha-1. Two factors of seed inoculation (SI) were tested: Without SI and with SI. Results showed that fertilizers and seed inoculation significantly increased the values of soybean productivity. Cost effective is the application of 50 kg N ha-1 and it is recommended on the basis of this study.

AB  - The experiment with Phacelia tanacetifolia cultivar NS Priora was conducted during 2018 on experimental plots of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, location in Bački Petrovac, in two variants: control, without nutrition and variant with nutrition, in organic cropping system. Foliar fertilization was applied with Phytograss & clover preparation, by Phytocomplex, two times during the intensive growth of the plants. Phytograss nutrition is a cocktail with micro and macro elements and N (1%), P2O5 (0.5%), K2O (0.05%), S (0.1%), La (0.2 mg kg-1), vitamins, etc. The trial was set up in a randomized block design with three replications. Six parameters were analyzed: biomass yield (t/ha), plant height (cm), length of the leaf (cm), mass of inflorescence (g), length of root (cm) and grain yield per plant (g).

AB  - Phleum pratense (L.) is the important forage grass species in Serbia. The study was conducted on 20 autochthonous population of Phleum pratense (L.), originating from Western Serbia. Plant height, protein content and crude cellulose content had a high direct impact on yield. Populations of PP16, PP20, PP2 and PP9 had the significantly higher yield of the raw matter compared to all the tested population and the highest values for the other evaluated parameters, also. The average yield of crude biomass was positive statistically highly significantly correlated with plant height (r=0.87**), and positively significantly correlated with a content of crude proteins and positive non significant correlated with crude cellulose (r=0.42 ). Based on obtained values and by the appropriate choice of selection methods, we conclude that we have excellent genotypes, PP16, PP20, PP2 and PP9 for a successful selection process in order to obtain new high yielding varieties of Phleum pratense.

Magnesium content in soil and roughages depending on soil type and forage crops

AB  - The aim of this study is to examine the effects of soil type and forage crops on the content of magnesium in soil and roughages, as well as forage quality regarding Mg content for the prevention of animal disease ‘tetany’. The trial was carried out on chernozem and humogley under alfalfa and red clover. Samples for determination of Mg content in plant and total Mg content in soil were digested using the apparatus Milestone Ethos 1. The content of Mg was determined using the apparatus ICP-OES Vista Pro -Axial Varian. The average total Mg content in soil of the tested sites was 0.64%. Total Mg content in chernozem was higher than in humogley. A higher total Mg content was in the deeper horizon. A significant positive correlation was found between total Mg content in soil and soil pH as well as the content of CaCO3. The average Mg content in forage crops was 0.28%. A higher Mg content in the dry matter was observed in crops grown on humogley. Mg content was significantly higher in red clover. There was no risk for the occurrence of animal disease ‘tetany’ regarding Mg content in crops, because the ratio K/(Ca+Mg) was below 2.2, and K and Mg content in the dry matter of crops was below the critical value.
AB  - Cilj rada je da prikaže uticaj tipa zemljišta i krmnog useva na sadržaj magnezijuma u zemljištu i krmnim biljkama, kao i obezbeđenost krmiva magnezijumom sa aspekta prevencije bolesti “tetanije” kod životinja. Ispitivanja su izvedena na poljoprivrednim površinama černozema i humogleja, na kojima su zasnovane proizvodnje lucerke i crvene deteline. Za određivanje sadržaja Mg u biljnom materijalu, kao i ukupnog sadržaja u zemljištu primenjena je digestija uzoraka u zatvorenom mikrotalasnom sistemu pod visokim pritiskom na aparatu Milestone Ethos 1 i determinacija na aparatu ICP-OES Vista Pro-Axial Varian. Prosečan ukupan sadržaj Mg u zemljištu ispitivanih lokaliteta iznosio je 0,64%. Ukupan sadržaj Mg u černozmu je bio viši u odnosu na humoglej. Sadržaj ukupnog Mg je rastao sa dubinom zemljišta. Konstatovana je značajna pozitivna korelaciona veza između ukupnog sadržaja Mg u zemljištu i pH vrednosti zemljišta, kao i sadržaja CaCO3. Prosečna vrednost sadržaja Mg u ispitivanim krmnim usevima iznosila je 0,28%. Viši sadržaj Mg u suvoj materiji biljaka je konstatovan na humogleju. Crvena detelina je, u proseku, imala značajno veći sadržaj Mg. Sa aspekta obezbeđenosti biljaka magnezijumom, može se smatrati da ne postoji potencijalna opasnost od pojave bolesti “tetanije” kod životinja, jer je odnos K/(Ca+Mg) ispod 2,2, a sadržaj K i Mg u suvoj materiji biljaka izvan kritičnih vrednosti.

The average mass of stem was 175.16 g. Genotype Dale had lower mass of stem compared to genotype NS sweet corn. Average panicle length was 18.20 cm. Genotype Dale had a longer panicle compared to the genotype NS sweet corn. The difference in length panicle between the genotypes NS corn sweet and Dala was not statistically significant. There is an evident correlation between the components of morphological characteristics: mass of stem, panicle length and environmental conditions. Mass stem was positively correlated with the panicle length and the temperature and the poor negative correlation with precipitation.

AB  - Stress caused by the drought is the most serious limiting factor in soybean production. Abiotic stress in soybeans cause: water deficit and nutrition and high temperature. The effects of adverse climatic factors, temperature extremes and deficit of precipitation on crop production can be reduced by selecting tolerant varieties, early planting and proper production technology. In the experimental study, the soybean grain yield and protein yield and oil cultivars Galina were examined, in an organic cropping system, the natural water regime and irrigation conditions. Average yields of soybeans ranged from 3,560 kg ha-1 (natural water regime) up to 4502 kg ha-1 (irrigation). In irrigated conditions, grain yield and protein yield was significantly higher than in the variant without irrigation. Research shows that the average increase in grain yield (26.46%) and protein yield (26.18%) in the variant with irrigation were achieved. Oil yield was higher in varieties with irrigation compared to natural water regime but the difference was not significant. Irrigation is desirable effective measure in soybean production in drought years and is a prerequisite for economically profitable soybean production.
AB  - Stres izazvan sušom je najozbiljniji limitirajući faktor u proizvodnji soje. Abiotički stres kod soje izazivaju: deficit vode i ishrane i visoke temperature. Efekti nepovoljnih klimatskih faktora, temperatura i njenih ekstrema i deficit padavina, na biljnu proizvodnju mogu se ublažiti izborom tolerantnih sorti, ranijom setvom i pravilnom tehnologijom proizvodnje. U eksperimentalnim istraživanjima ispitivan je prinosi zrna soje i prinosi proteina i ulja, NS sorte Galina, u organskom sistemu gajenja, u prirodnom vodnom režimu i u uslovima navodnjavanja. Prosečni prinosi zrna soje varirali su od 3.560 kg ha-1 (prirodni vodni režim) do 4.502 kg ha-1 (u navodnjavanju). U uslovima navodnjavanja, prinos zrna i prinos proteina bio je signifikantno viši u odnosu na varijantu bez navodnjavanja. AB  - This paper aims at determining the genotype x environment interactions of seed yield and quality components of NS soybean cultivars under different agroecological conditions. Field trials were conducted in Serbia, during three years (2009-2011). Six soybean genotypes, belonging to different maturity groups were used (MG): Valjevka, Galina, Afrodita (0 MG), Sava, Victoria (I MG) and Trijumf (II MG). The effect of genotype (G), environment (E) and GxE interactions on yield, protein content and oil content were found to be significant (P lt 0.05, P lt 0.01). During 2010 and 2011, significantly higher grain yield per area unit were achieved as compared to 2009. The highest stability of protein content in the whole tested period was found in genotype Galina. The highest seed yield and oil content were obtained by genotype Valjevka. Genotype Galina showed high stability and good performance in all years for seed yield and protein content. Soybean yield was positively significantly correlated with precipitation (r=0.48*) and negatively significantly correlated with temperatures (r=0.52*). Oil content was negatively highly significantly correlated with precipitation (r=0.83**) and positively highly significantly correlated with temperatures (r=0.81**). This study can represent the basis for further soybean breeding.

AB  - Recently, heavy metals concentrations increased in some agricultural areas due to the consequences of anthropogenic impacts. The total content of Pb, As, Cr and Ni in the samples of fluvisol was above the maximum allowable amount. The content of heavy metals in Medicago sativa L. and Trifolium pratense L. was below the critical and toxic concentrations in all samples originating from contaminated soil. It was concluded that the accumulation of heavy metals in plants did not depend only on the total content in soil, but also the affinity of the plant, and individual and interactive effects of various soil properties. No statistically significant differences in the accumulation of heavy metals between Medicago sativa L. and Trifolium pratense L were observed. It is necessary to further control of heavy metals in the investigated area, in order to prevent their entry into the food chain and provide healthy food.
AB  - U poslednje vreme povećana je koncentracija teških metala na nekim poljoprivrednim površinama usled antropogenog uticaja. Cilj rada je bio da se utvrdi nivo teških metala (As, Cr, Ni i Pb) u nekarbonatnom aluvijalnom (fluvijanom) zemljištu, te njihova akumulacija u Medicago sativa L. i Trifolium pratense L., radi dobijanja informacije o zdravstvenoj ispravnostinosti ovih hraniva. Ukupan sadržaj ispitivanih teških metala u uzorcima zemljišta bio je iznad maksimalno dozvoljene količine, što znači da svi uzorci analiziranih lokaliteta pripadaju kategoriji kontaminiranog zemljišta. Sadržaj teških metala u Medicago sativa L. i Trifolium pratense L. bio je ispod kritičnih i toksičnih koncentracija, kao i maksimalno dozvoljenih količina u hrani za životinje u svim uzorcima poreklom sa kontaminiranog zemljišta. Konstatovano je da akumulacija teških metala u biljkama nije zavisila samo od ukupnog sadržaja u zemljištu, nego i afiniteta biljke, te individualnog ili interaktivnog dejstva raznih zemljišnih svojstava. Nije bilo značajnih razlika u akumulaciji teških metala izmeću Medicago sativa L. i Trifolium pratense L.

AB  - Italian ryegrass monoculture and mixtures with red clover (sowing ratios 75:25%, 50:50% and 25:75%) were established in the spring of 2008 at the Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade, with the aim to analyse the possibilities of managing the N supply. There were four N rates for Italian ryegrass monoculture: 0, 100, 150 and 200 kg ha(-1), whilst no N fertilizer was applied to the mixture plots. The trial was carried out during 2008-2010 and the highest total DM yield was obtained with 200 kg N ha(-1), similar to that of the ryegrass-clover mixtures. Ryegrass contributed less to the total yield in the mixtures, because it had lower ratios in the structure of swards than those used at sowing. An Italian ryegrass-red clover sward may have advantages over a pure Italian ryegrass sward fertilized by high rates of N, providing high yield with a more sustainable land-use system.

AB  - For comparative testing of the total productivity of mixtures (intercrops) of red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) and Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum L.), a trial was carried out during the 2007-2009 growing seasons at experimental fields of the Institute for Animal Husbandry, Belgrade-Zemun. Intercrops included two red clover varieties (K-17 and Una) and tetraploid Italian ryegrass (K-29t) in different proportional ratios (100:0%, 75:25%, 50:50%, 25:75% and 0:100%). Italian ryegrass sown alone was top-dressed with nitrogen rates of 100 and 200 kg ha-1. Herbage yields and botanical composition were influenced by different sowing times in the first production year. Spring seeded red clover was more persistent and cumulatively yielded, autumn seeded Italian ryegrass produced more dry matter in the mixture than red clover. The trial demonstrates the potential of two red clover cultivars grown either alone or with a suitable Italian ryegrass to achieve and maintain a high output of herbage of good quality in the first production year, with different time of stand establishment. The practical agricultural implications of using ryegrass/clover are discussed.
AB  - U toku vegetacione sezone 2007-2009 izveden je ogled na eksperimentalnom polju Instituta za stočarstvo, Zemun-Beograd, sa crvenom detelinom i italijanskim ljuljem radi uporednog ispitivanja ukupne proizvodnje biomase smeša. Smeše su uključivale dve sorte crvene deteline (K-17 i Una) i tetraploidnog italijanskog ljulja (K-29t) sa različitim proporcionalnim odnosima (100:0%, 50:50%, 75:25%, 25:75% i 0:100%). Italijanski ljulj sejan u čistom usevu prihranjivan je sa 100 i 200 kg N ha-1. Različito vreme setve uticalo je na prinos krme i botaničku kompoziciju u prvoj proizvodnoj godini. Crvena detelina sejana u proleće bila je otpornija i kumulativno prinosnija, kao i italijanski ljulj sejan u jesen koji je proizveo više suve materije u smeši u odnosu na detelinu. Ogled pokazuje potencijal dve sorte crvene deteline sejane u čistom usevu ili sa italijanskim ljuljem radi dobijanja i održavanja visoke proizvodnje biomase dobrog kvaliteta u prvoj proizvodnoj godini, pri različitom vremenu zasnivanja. Razmatrane su praktične agronomske implikacije korišćenja smeše italijanskog ljulja i crvene deteline.

Effect of meteorological conditions on the production of NS soya bean seed

AB  - The perspective of our society cannot be imagined without the quality production and marketing of seeds in the country and abroad. On average, seed soya bean was annually planted on area of 7,151.8 ha in the period 2002-2007. Area under NS soya bean seed showed an annual trend rate of growth (9.21% with certain oscillations). In the research period, soya bean seed yield was 2.29 t ha-1 with a highly stable growth rate of 2.66%, while NS soya bean seed production in Serbia was 15,993 t with an annual growth rate of 12.59% with certain oscillations. Permanent growing trend of soya bean production is a result of increased area and yield. The increase of production was also affected by weather conditions. Such production volume fully meets domestic needs, while significant amount of seed still remains for export. .
AB  - Perspektiva našeg društva se ne može zamisliti bez kvalitetne proizvodnje i plasmana semena u zemlji i inostranstvu. U periodu 2002-2007. pod semenskim usevom soje zasejano godišnje je u proseku 7.151,8 ha. Površine pod semenom NS sorti soje beleže tendenciju rasta po stopi od 9,21% godišnje, sa oscilacijama. Prinos semena soje u posmatranom periodu iznosio je 2,29 t/ha i beleži trend rasta po stopi od 2,66% i veliku stabilnost. Proizvodnja semenske NS soje u Srbiji, u posmatranom periodu, iznosi 15.993 t sa tendencijom rasta po stopi od 12,59% godišnje i oscilacijama. Permanentna tendencija rasta proizvodnje soje rezultanta je povećanja površina i prinosa. Na rast proizvodnje delovali su i klimatskih faktori. Ovakav obim proizvodnje u potpunosti zadovoljava domaće potrebe, a značajne količine semena ostaju i za izvoz. .

AB  - The investigations included mean values, genetic and phenotypic variability, heritability and genetic and phenotypic coefficients, variability of yield components in the original maize population with 25% of the exotic germplasm incorporated and also, in the population after three and five cycles of gene recombining. The two-replicate trial was set up according to the nested design method in two locations in order to investigate effects of different cycles of gene recombination. According to the obtained results, it was concluded that the mean values had increased more significantly to the third than from the third to the fifth cycle of free hybridisation. The additional gene recombination affected the insignificant decrease of the genetic and phenotypic variability of traits. Estimated values of heritability were high and significant for yield, which indicated that they were mostly determined by the additive variance. The additional cycles of gene recombination caused the decrease of heritability and the coefficient of genetic and phenotypic variability. Greater mean values of yield components after the third and the fifth gene recombination cycles, relating to the original population, indicate to a positive effect of the additional recombination cycles on the increase of a gene frequency in case of desirable traits, and the frequency of the more yielding genotypes. .
AB  - Proučavanjem je obuhvaćena originalna populacija kukuruza sa 25% egzotične germplazme (1601/5 x ZPL913)F2R0 i populacije nakon tri (1601/5 x ZPL913) F2R3 i pet (1601/5 x ZPL913)F2R5 ciklusa rekombinovanja gena. Ogled sa S1 potomstvom je postavljen po metodu nested dizajna u dva ponavljanja na dve lokacije u toku dve godine (2005 i 2006). Prosečne vrednosti za sva ispitivana svojstva osim sadržaja vlage pri berbi su se povećavale sa brojem ciklusa rekombinacija. Različiti agroekološki uslovi, genotipovi, interakcija familija x lokacija 1 i familija x lokacija 2 uticali su značajno na varijabilnost svih ispitivanih svojstava za populacije. Genetičke i fenotipske varijanse za sva ispitivana svojstva osim mase 1000 zrna su se smanjivale pod uticajem broja ciklusa rekombinacija. Značajno smanjenje nije bilo samo za dužinu klipa, što je posebno značajno za praktično oplemenjivanje. Genetičke varijanse su dovoljno visoke da omoguće uspešno oplemenjivanje. Slično se dešavalo i sa koeficijentima heritabilnosti. .

Importance, status and prospects of annual forage crops in agro-ecological conditions of Serbia

AB  - The importance of annual forage crops with respect to yield, quality agronomy and environment-friendly production as well, has been taken into consideration. In recent trends in plant production such as sustainable agriculture and organic farming, annual forage crops became more important and practically non missing link in crop rotation. By growing annual forage crops the application of chemicals (mineral fertilizers and pesticides) are reduced or completely omitted. Hence, the main aim of growing cover crops is protection of agro-ecological system. Annual forage crops are used to design new strategy that preserves farm natural resources while remaining profitable. From that point of view applied agricultural practices should be environmentally sound, economically feasible and socially acceptable. The main benefits of annual forage crops regarded as cover crops are: reduction of fertilizer costs, conservation of soil moisture, reducing of nutrients leaching, improving of soil properties, reducing the needs for pesticides prevention of soil erosion, water quality protection and help safe guard personal health. Benefits vary by location and season, but at least two or three occur with any cover crop. Despite their importance, annual forage crops are grown on small area in the agro-ecological conditions of Serbia.
AB  - U radu je istaknut značaj jednogodišnjih krmnih biljaka sa aspekta prinosa kvaliteta, agrotehnike, načina iskorišćavanja, kao i zaštite agro-ekološkog sistema. Posmatrane kao međuusevi jednogodišnje krmne biljke predstavljaju neizostavnu kariku u proizvodnji zdravstveno bezbedne stočne hrane. Osnovni značaj gajenja jednogodišnjih krmnih biljaka sa aspekta zaštite agro-ekološkog sistema ogleda se u smanjenju troškova đubrenja, čuvanju vlage i sprečavanju ispiranja hraniva, popravci fizičkih, hemijskih i bioloških osobina zemljišta, sprečavanju erozije, smanjenju upotrebe pesticida očuvanju kvaliteta vode i očuvanju životne sredine i zdravlja čoveka uopšte. Navedene koristi od međuuseva značajno zavise od konkretnih agroekoloških uslova proizvodnje. I pored izrazitog značaja, kako u pogledu prinosa i kvaliteta, tako i u sistemu zaštite agroekološkog sistema, jednogodišnje krmne biljke se u agro-ekološkim uslovima Srbije gaje se na relativno malim površinama.
