AB - Among many species of genus Vigna L. are cowpea, V. unguiculata (L.) Walp., mung bean, V. radiata (L.) Wilczek, and adzuki bean, V. angularis (Willd.) Ohwi & Ohashi, that are almost completely unknown in Serbia and Montenegro. A small-plot trial was set up in 2005 at the Rimski Šančevi Experiment Field of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. The cultivars of cowpea had the greatest average values of plant height (114 cm), number of stems per plant (1,4), number of internodes (13,2) and plant mass (30,19 g). The greatest average yield of fresh weight was found in the cultivars of cowpea (23,4 t ha-1), while the greatest average yield of hay was in the cultivars of adzuki bean (5,1 t ha-1).
AB - Rod Vigna L. obuhvata veći broj vrsta, među kojima su i crnookica, V. unguiculata (L.) Walp., mungo pasulj, V. radiata (L.) Wilczek, i azuki pasulj, V. angularis, (Willd.)

AB - A trial with annual forage legumes was carried out during 2004 and 2005 at the Rimski Šančevi Experiment Field of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. The trial involved forage pea, Pisum sativum L., common vetch, Vicia sativa L., faba bean, Vicia faba L. and narbon vetch Vicia narbonensis L. and each of the species was represented with three cultivars. The forage pea cultivars had the greatest plant height (92 cm), while the common vetch cultivars had the greatest number of stems per plant (2.3). The greatest number of internodes was found in the cultivars of faba bean (20.0) and narbon vetch (19.7), while the largest plant mass was recorded in the faba bean cultivars (42.41 g). The forage pea cultivars had the highest yields of both fresh weight (48.0 t ha-1) and hay (12,6 t ha-1).

Sorte graška odlikovale su se najvećom visinom biljke (92 cm), dok su sorte obične grahorice imale najveći broj stabala po biljci (2,3). AB - There is a widespread opinion that the development of winter cultivars of protein pea could significantly increase its cultivation area, especially in the temperate regions. A small-plot trial was carried out on a chernozem soil at the Experiment Field of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops at Rimski Šančevi, including six French and three Bulgarian winter protein pea cultivars. The cultivar 5105 had the earliest date of beginning of flowering (April 16) and the earliest date of harvest (June 11). The cultivars Dove and 5105 had the highest winter survival coefficients, with 0.93 each in the year of 2004/05 and 0.92 each in the year of 2005/06. In average, the highest grain yield was in the cultivars 5174 (6567 kg ha-1) and Dove (6453 kg ha-1) while the lowest grain yield was in the cultivar Frilene (1062 kg ha-1).
