AB  - The main characteristics of the current situation with chemical weed control in sunflower are as follows: increasing problems with changing weed flora composition; hampered control of some weeds; the start of growing sunflowers tolerant of imidazolinones, development and introduction of new conventional herbicides; and so on. In the near future, it is expected that certain herbicides will be banned from the market and that sunflowers tolerant of tribenuron methyl will be introduced into production.
AB  - Aktuelnu situaciju na polju suzbijanja korova u suncokretu u najkraćim crtama karakterišu: narastajući problem! u izmeni korovske flore, otežano hemijsko suzbijanje pojedinih korova, početak gajenja suncokreta tolerantnog prema imidazolinonima, razvoj i uvođenje novih konvencionalnih herbicida i dr. U skoroj budućnosti očekuje se zabrana pojedinih herbicida na tržištu i uvođenje u proizvodnju suncokreta tolerantnog prema tribenuron-metilu.

Phytopharmacologic value of new herbicides in sugar beet

AB  - Trials were conducted during 1998 and 1999 to determine efficacy of new herbicide mixtures in weed control in sugar beet. Sequential application of mixtures one of residual herbicides (5-metolachlor, dimethenamid alone or with chloridazon) folowed by application of one or several post-emergence herbicides (phenmedipham + desmedipham + chloridazon or phenmedipham + desmedipham + ethofumesate, triflusulfuron, metamitron, clopyralid, cycloxydim and fenoxaprop-P-ethyl) were studied. Results from two-years trials suggested that pre-emergence + post-emergence herbicides showed similar effects in weed control than only sequential application of post-emergence herbicides. Mixtures with triflusulfuron-methyl provided better control of Abutilon theophrasti and Hibiscus trionum than other herbicide mixtures.
AB  - Tokom 1998. i 1999. godine izvedeni su ogledi radi ocene efikasnosti kombinacija novijih herbicida u suzbijanju korova u šećernoj repi. Ispitivane su višekratne primene kombinacija pre-emergence preparata Frontier 900EC (pre-emergence sam i u kombinaciji sa Pyramin turbo) i Dual Gold sa preparatima ili kombinacijama preparata za primenu posle nicanja, a takođe i samo dvokratne primene post-emergence herbicida (Regio, Betanal AM11, Galbetan, Betanal progress AM, Betanal progress OF, Safari 50DF, Nortron super, Lontrel 100, Focus Ultra, Furore super). Programi sa kombinacijama pre-emergence + post-emergence herbicida ostvarili su bolji ili približan herbicidni efekat kao i dvokratna primena samo post-emergence herbicida, bez značajnijih razlika u ostvarenom prinosu korena. Najbolju efikasnost u suzbijanju korova Abutilon theophrastii Hibiscus trionum, ostvarile su kombinacije sa preparatom Safari 50DF.

AB  - The efficiency and selectiveness of the herbicides pendimethalin (1.32 kg/ha), linuron (0.75 and 0.8 kg/ha), fluorochloridone (0.5 kg/ha), trifluralin (0.96 kg/ha), metolachlor (1.2 kg/ha), alachlor (1.44 kg/ha), prometryn (1 kg/ha), metribuzin (0.35 kg/ha) and their combinations were studied in carrot crop in 1993. and 1994. We evaluated the efficiency of the herbicides in weed control and their effect on the crop (phytotoxicity, yield, length and diameter of the root, diameter of the root core and plant height). The dominant weed species in 1993 were Galinsoga parviflora, Sinapis arvensis, Chenopodium album and Hibiscus trionum, and in 1994 Galinsoga parviflora, Datura stramonium, Amaranthus retroflexus and Chenopodium hybridum. The studied herbicides and their combinations showed to be highly efficient with respect to the dominant weed species. Metribuzin showed to be poorly efficient in control of Galinsoga parviflora (75 - 76%) and Solanum nigrum (72.5 - 83.5%). Fluorochloridone showed to be poorly efficient in control of Datura stramonium (55%) and Hibiscus trionum (67.5 - 80.5%). Linuron, metribuzin and fluorochloridone caused temporary phytotoxicity while only metribuzin significantly reduced the yield, length, diameter of the root and diameter of the core of the carrot plants.

AB  - Na pšenici i ječmu u Jugoslaviji sreće se veliki broj štetočina i patogena - prouzrokovača različitih bolesti. Međutim, samo neki od njih pričinjavali su ili i danas pričinjavaju ekonomski značajne štete u obimu da je bilo neophodno ili da se još uvek moraju suzbijati na većim površinama. Sem štetočina i bolesti, u usevu ovih strnina sreće se i veliki broj najrazličitijih korovskih vrsta. Dok se za ekonomski značajne štetočine i bolesti može reći da su, mahom, iste vrste, odnosno patogeni - prouzrokovači oboljenja rasprostranjeni u većini žitorodnih područja širom zemlje, dotle se za floristički sastav korovskih zajednica i čestoću pojave pojedinih vrsta u usevima strnih žita može reći da veoma variraju, zavisno u prvom redu od područja, zatim tipa zemljišta, količine padavina u prolećnom periodu, itd.
