AB  - Papaver somniferum L. je biljka opijumskog maka koja se konzumira kao hrana. Veliki broj sorti maka 
se koristi za proizvodnju farmaceutskih alkaloida opijuma i za proizvodnju semena za ishranu. Seme 
je bogato linoleinskom i oleinskom kiselinom- mononezasićenom masnom kiselinom, koja pomaže u 
snižavanju nivoa LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein - lipoproteina male gustine) u krvi i povećanje nivoa 
HDL (High Density Lipoprotein - lipoproteina velike gustine), što je veoma značajno za zdravlje kar diovaskularnog sistema. Seme ne sadrži opijate, ali može biti kontaminirano njima tokom berbe, jer 
njegov lateks sadrži brojne alkaloide (morfijum, tebain, kodein, papaverin, noskapin).
AB  - Papaver somniferum L. is the opium poppy plant consumed as food. There are a large number of poppy 
varieties that are used to obtain opium alkaloids for pharmaceutical purposes and to produce seeds 
for use as food. Poppy seeds are rich in linoleic and oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that helps 
lower LDL (low density lipoprotein) levels in the blood and increases HDL (high density lipoprotein) levels, which are very important for cardiovascular health. Poppy seeds do not contain opiates, but can be 
contaminated with them when harvested, as the poppy latex contains numerous alkaloids (morphine, 
thebaine, codeine, papaverine, and noscapine).

Variability and heritability of technological characteristics of Amaranthus leaves and seeds

AB  - This study aimed to determine the variability properties of four major types of Amaranthus species in 
protein and amino acids content in leaves and flowers. Obtained results by ion exchange chromatography in 
our study have shown high values for the content of essential amino acids lysine and methionine. In the leaf, 
the lysine content ranged from 3.9 (A. caudatus) to 7.0 (A. cruentus; A. moleros), and in the flowers from 4.2 
(A. caudatus) to 6.7 (A. molleros). The methionine content ranged from 3.1 (A. caudatus) to 7.4 (A. 
mantegazzianus) in the leaf and in the flower from 2.9 (A. caudatus) to 6.7 (A. mantegazzianus). Besides lysine 
and methionine, significant values of other essential amino acids were recorded, respectively. Significant 
concentrations of total proteins were recorded in all examined genotypes. The heritability of the studied 
characters as protein and mineral content of seeds and leaves, and oil contents of seed were significantly high. 
The maximum values of the protein content of seeds were 16.55% (A. cruentus), in leaves 20.10% (A. caudatus), 
and the minerals in seeds 2.73% (A. moleros), and leaves 18.76% (A. mantegazzianus). The oil content of seeds 
was 6.16% (A. moleros). The oil content of the seed’s proportion of genetic variance to total phenotypic variance 
was 72%, and it has a significant impact on ecological factors. Tested divergent Amaranthus genotypes may 
serve as parents for further crossing. Amaranth seeds is gluten-free and is important in the diet of celiac patients 
and contains amino acids, especially lysine, which acts against the herpes virus. Amaranth from amaranth leaves 
biologically active substance that prevents heart muscle damage during ischemic processes. Amaranth seed oil 
has hypolipemic, anti-atherosclerotic, hypotensive and antioxidant activity.

Microbiological fertilizers in the function of organic production and health safe food

AB  - Environmental pollution is one of the main problems facing humanity on a global scale, as well as the leading cause of the growing incidence of certain human and animal diseases. Organic production as a sustainable system combines tradition and new technological solutions in the prevention of environmental pollution, both from the aspect of biological diversity of flora and fauna in the agroecosystem, and from the aspect of nutritional values and absence of pesticide residues in plant and animal products. Organic production enables the protection of biodiversity and the environment. An important feature of organic agriculture is the exclusion of the use of mineral fertilizers and pesticides, due to the potential negative effects that can be caused by their uncontrolled use. In organic production, mostly organic fertilizers and biological preparations are used, which enable the decomposition of harvest residues and the release of plant assimilates. In recent times, the possibilities of using allelopathic substances and secondary metabolites of plants as growth regulators and natural herbicides in sustainable agriculture are expanding, while the most important alternative to mineral fertilizers are microbiological fertilizers. In this paper, the importance and scope of application of microbiological fertilizers in modern agricultural production are considered.

AB  - Pesticides, is chemical agents for plant protection, and are mostly used in agriculture and forestry (90%), i.e. in plant production. In addition to accumulating in the environment, pesticides act on plants, microorganisms and other members of the biocenosis, and through the food chain, they reach the human body, where they exhibit active biological effects. In this study, the impact of pesticides on plants, soil microorganisms and food safety in crop production is considered.
AB  - Pesticidi, su hemijska sredstva za zaštitu bilja, i najviše se upotrebljavaju u poljoprivredi i šumarstvu (90%), odnosno u biljnoj proizvodnji. Pored akumuliranja u životnoj sredini, pesticidi djeluju na biljke, mikroorganizme i ostale članove biocenoza, a preko lanaca ishrane, dospevaju i u organizam čoveka, u kojem ispoljavaju aktivna biološka dejstva. U ovoj stidiji razmatra se uticaj pesticida na biljke, mikroorganizme zemljišta i zdravstvenu bezbednost hrane u biljnoj proizvodnji.

Pored akumuliranja u životnoj sredini, pesticidi djeluju na biljke, mikroorganizme i ostale članove biocenoza, a preko lanaca ishrane, dospevaju i u organizam čoveka, u kojem ispoljavaju aktivna biološka dejstva. U ovoj stidiji razmatra se uticaj pesticida na biljke, mikroorganizme zemljišta i zdravstvenu bezbednost hrane u biljnoj proizvodnji.",

AB  - The term biodiversity includes the overall diversity of living organisms within the biosphere. In order for natural processes in ecosystems to take place, it is necessary to preserve all components of biodiversity. The cycles of the circulation of matter and the flow of energy are the basis for the maintenance of life on the planet, and take place in ecosystems thanks to the activity of plants, animals and microorganisms. In addition to enabling the maintenance of all life on the planet, biological resources, that is, living organisms, have an exceptional practical value for humans. Therefore, the protection and conservation of biological resources should be included in the implementation of activities related to environmental protection. In this paper, the importance of preserving the diversity of biological resources, as a group of the most important natural resources on the planet, is considered.

AB  - Oplemenjivanje na otpornost prema patogenima je najefikasnija i najprihvatljivija mera sa stanovišta zaštite bilja i zaštite životne sredine. U Srbiji se razvijala paralelno sa razvojem oplemenjivačkih programa ratarskih, povrtarskih i voćarskih biljnih vrsta. Istraživanja su se vršila u dva pravca u zavisnosti od toga da li je proučavana genetička osnova biljke ili varijabilnost patogena u uslovima spoljne sredine. Problemi u proizvodnji najznačajnijih ratarskih, povrtarskih i voćarskih biljnih vrsta, često su bili vezani za pojavu novih patogena koji su pretili da onemoguće gajenje na teritoriji Srbije. Rešenja su bila u pronalaženju i ugradnji jednog ili više gena koji su omogućavali vertikalnu (kratkotrajnu) ili horizontalnu (dugotrajnu) otpornost. Zbog toga je najperspektivnija sintetička selekcija koja podrazumeva istovremenu inkorporaciju gena vertikalne i horizontalne otpornosti.

Effect of genotype and pre-sowing fertilization on yield of garden pea

AB  - During the two-year study on the influence of presowing fertilization on growth and development of garden pea (Pisum sativum L.) in three different experimental setups, five genotypes of peas were used, two of Dutch origin and three that were created at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops. The aim of the study was to determine the extent to which different genotypes and complex NPK fertilizer influence the yield per plant. The average yield per plant for both years was 16.86 g. The influence of genotype on grain yield per plant was statistically significant (p lt 0.01). Tamish cultivar showed significantly lower yields during both study years, in comparison with other genotypes tested, except when compared with the Danube cultivar in year 2007. There was no regularity in the influence of pre-sowing fertilization on grain yield per plant. Regression analysis of the pea genotypes, revealed a slight reduction in yield per plant as a function of increased use of complex fertilizer. Grain yield per plant was in high positive correlation (p lt 0.01) with yield components, and with the length of the stem. The number of pods was in strong correlation with grain numbers and weight of pods. Number of grains and the absolute weight were in highly statistically significant correlation with the mass of pods.
AB  - U dvogodišnjem istraživanju ispitivan je uticaj predsetvenog đubrenja u tri različite varijante na rast i razviće kod baštenskog graška (Pisum sativum L.). U radu je korišćeno 5 genotipova graška, od kojih su 3 stvorena na Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Novom Sadu, a 2 su holandskog porekla. Cilj je bio da se ustanovi u kojoj meri različiti genotipovi i kompleksno đubrivo NPK utiče na prinos po biljci kod konzumnog graška. Prosečan prinos po biljci za obe istraživane godine iznosio je 16.86 g. Uticaj genotipa graška na prinos zrna po biljci bio je na nivou statističke značajnosti (p lt 0.01). Sorta Tamish imala je vrlo značajno manji prinos u obe istraživačke godine u poređenju sa ostalim ispitivanim genotipovima, izuzev u odnosu na sortu Danube u 2007. godini. Nije zabeležena pravilnost kod uticaja predsetvenog đubrenja graška na prinos zrna po biljci. The influence of row spacing and soybean varieties on plant stem thickness under irrigation conditions

AB  - During 2003 and 2004, research was conducted with the aim of establishing to which extent the application of row spacing influenced soybean stem thickness under irrigation conditions. Results were processed using two-way analysis of variance for a split-plot experiment (Hadzivukovic, 1991). Examination factors were variety (big plot) and different row spacing (under plot). The average largest stem thickness (6.17 mm) was found in the variety Vojvodjanka. Differences among varieties in stem thickness existed but were not large enough to be significant. The largest stem thickness was noted with a row spacing of 70 cm. In the best metrological year for soybean production, significant differences were observed between the row spacing of 70 cm and the other two spacings (25 and 50 cm). A positive correlation between yield per plant and stem thickness of soybean was established. Based on the results, cultural practice recommendations were made for the soybean production.
AB  - Tokom 2003. i 2004. godine obavljena su istraživanja sa ciljem da se ustanovi u kojoj meri promena međurednog razmaka utiče na debljinu stabljike soje u uslovima navodnjavanja. Podaci su obrađeni analizom varijanse po metodi dvofaktorijalnog split-plot ogleda, gde su faktori ispitivanja: sorta (velika parcela) i međuredni razmak (podparcela) (Hadživuković, 1991). Prosečno najveću debljinu stabljike (6.17 mm) imala je sorta Vojvođanka. Razlike između sorti u debljini stabljike su postojale, ali nisu bile dovoljno velike da bi bile značajne. Najveća debljina stabljike zabeležena je na međuredu 70 cm. U vremenski povoljnoj godini za proizvodnju soje razlike su bile značajne u odnosu na 25 i 50 cm. Utvrđena je pozitivna korelacija između debljine stabljike i prinosa zrna po biljci. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata preporučuje se primena sortne agrotehnike u proizvodnji soje.

The largest stem thickness was noted with a row spacing of 70 cm. In the best metrological year for soybean production, significant differences were observed between the row spacing of 70 cm and the other two spacings (25 and 50 cm). A positive correlation between yield per plant and stem thickness of soybean was established. Based on the results, cultural practice recommendations were made for the soybean production., Tokom 2003. i 2004. godine obavljena su istraživanja sa ciljem da se ustanovi u kojoj meri promena međurednog razmaka utiče na debljinu stabljike soje u uslovima navodnjavanja. Podaci su obrađeni analizom varijanse po metodi dvofaktorijalnog split-plot ogleda, gde su faktori ispitivanja: sorta (velika parcela) i međuredni razmak (podparcela) (Hadživuković, 1991). Prosečno najveću debljinu stabljike (6.17 mm) imala je sorta Vojvođanka. Razlike između sorti u debljini stabljike su postojale, ali nisu bile dovoljno velike da bi bile značajne. Najveća debljina stabljike zabeležena je na međuredu 70 cm. U vremenski povoljnoj godini za proizvodnju soje razlike su bile značajne u odnosu na 25 i 50 cm. Utvrđena je pozitivna korelacija između debljine stabljike i prinosa zrna po biljci. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata preporučuje se primena sortne agrotehnike u proizvodnji soje.",
