Genetic potential of winter triticale as a healthy safe food

AB  - The objectives of this study were to investigate: (1) the effects of cultivar, environment, and their interactions on the grain yield, test weight and 1000 kernel weight of winter triticale, and (2) the correlations between these traits in different environments. Based on the grain results during a three-year investigation with two cultivars, it can be concluded that the grain yield of triticale significantly varied across years, from 4.251 t/ha in 2010/11 to 5.791 t/ha in 2012/13 in the study.  The investigated period clearly indicates that highly significant effect of year was found on grain yield, test weight and 1000 kernel weight. Furthermore, test weight was highly significant regarding the interaction of the year and cultivar and significant for 1000 kernel weight. Environmental conditions have had a significant effect on grain yield and quality in triticale. Grain yield shows a tendency to increase in the years having a higher total amount and better distribution of rainfall during critical plant development stages.
AB  - Ciljevi ove studije bili su istražiti: (1) uticaje sorte, životne sredine i njihove interakcije na prinos zrna, hektolitarsku masu i masu 1000 zrna kod ozimog tritikalea i (2) povezanost tih osobina u različitim vegetacionim sezonama. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata, tokom trogodišnjeg istraživanja dve sorte tritikalea, može se zaključiti da je prinos zrna tokom godina značajno varirao od 4.251 t/ha u 2010/11 do 5.791 t/ha u 2012/13. Analizom varijanse ustanovljen je izuzetno značajan uticaj godine na prinos zrna, masu 1000 zrna i hektolitarsku masu. Štaviše, hektolitarska masa bila je vrlo značajna i značajna za masu 1000 zrna kod interakcije godina x sorta. Uslovi životne sredine su imali značajan uticaj na prinos zrna i kvalitet tritikalea. Prinos zrna pokazuje tendenciju rasta u godinama koje imaju veću ukupnu količinu i bolju raspodelu padavina tokom kritičnih faza razvoja biljaka.

AB  - Tests were carried out on stationary field trial, soil type vertisol in the process of degradation. The land on which the view is derived is characterized by low pH (pH lt 5.0). The Dose of nitrogen was 120 kg N/ha, which was administered in combination with phosphorous and potassium fertilizer. The tests showed a significant grain yield. Nitrogen had a most significant impact on the yield of wheat. The average grain yield of all treatments in the 2008/09 growing season was significantly greater than in the following years, mostly as the result of highly favourable weather conditions at major stages of plant development. The average highest yield was achieved in the variant N120P100K60 (5.528 t/ha), although the high yield of more than 5 t/ha was obtained and the triple treatments NPK where nitrogen is applied in the maximum amount of 120 kg/ha, 60 kg/ha P2O5 and 60 kg/ha K2O as well as variants NP in a quantity of 100 kg/ha P2O5 and 60 kg/ha K2O. Also, the 1000-grain weight was highest in balanced fertilization with all nutrients NPK (40 g), in a quantity of 120 kg N/ha, 100 kg/ha P2O5 and 60 kg/ha K2O. Averaged across years, significantly higher values for test weight were found in the control (76.91 kg/hl). Variance analysis showed statistically significant differences for grain yield and test weight between the vegetation seasons. Significant differences for 1000 grain weight between the variants of fertilization.

AB  - The experiment was established at the experimental field of the Dr. Dorde Radic Secondary School of Agriculture and Chemistry in Kraljevo (Serbia) during the 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2012/13 growing seasons. The objective of the research was to evaluate the effect of genotype and the environment on the grain yield of winter barley cultivars ('Jagodinac', 'Maksa', 'Rekord', 'NS 565' and 'NS 525'). The following characteristics were analysed: grain yield, 1,000 grain weight, test weight and plant height. The average grain yield of all cultivars in the 2010/11 growing season was significantly greater than in the following years, mostly as the result of highly favourable weather conditions at major stages of plant development. 'Jagodinac', 'NS 565' and 'NS 525' gave significantly higher grain yields in all years compared to 'Maksa' and 'Rekord'. Averaged across years, significantly higher values for 1,000 grain weight and test weight were found in 'NS 565' and 'Rekord', respectively. In all years, plant height was significantly greater in 'Jagodinac' than in the other cultivars. Different responses of cultivars to variable agroenvironmental conditions in terms of 1,000 grain weight and test weight require the use of a number of cultivars in the crop structure.

Effects of fertilization on production traits of winter wheat

AB  - The wheat cultivar used in the experiment was Kruna. This investigation included an untreated seven variants of fertilization: 1-control, 2-80 kg/ha N, 3-60 kg/ha P2O5, 4-80 kg/ha N, 60 kg/ha P2O5, 5-80 kg/ha N, 100 kg/ha K2O, 6-80 kg/ha N, 60 kg/ha P2O5, 60 kg/ha K2O and 7-80 kg/ha N, 100 kg/ha P2O5, 60 kg/ha K2O. Total amounts of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers and half the nitrogen rate are regularly applied during pre-sowing cultivation of soil. The trial was set up in a randomized block design with five replications. The crop was harvested at full maturity. Grain yield (t/ha) was harvested and reported at 14% moisture. Three parameters were analyzed: test weight (kg/hl), 1000-grain weight (g) and grain yield (t/ha). Investigation where showed a considerable variation of grain yield which were in dependence from mineral nutrition. The highest grain yields were the highest with mineral fertilizer in the combined N80P100K60 (4.738 t/ha). Over the two-year period, all investigated treatments of wheat achieved the highest average 1000-grain weight in the combined N80P60 (43.08 g). The highest test weight was the highest with mineral fertilizer in the combined N80P60K60 (73.63 kg/hl). Analysis of variance was found highly significant effect of years on 1000 grains weight.

This investigation included an untreated seven variants of fertilization: 1-control, 2-80 kg/ha N, 3-60 kg/ha P2O5, 4-80 kg/ha N, 60 kg/ha P2O5, 5-80 kg/ha N, 100 kg/ha K2O, 6-80 kg/ha N, 60 kg/ha P2O5, 60 kg/ha K2O and 7-80 kg/ha N, 100 kg/ha P2O5, 60 kg/ha K2O. Total amounts of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers and half the nitrogen rate are regularly applied during pre-sowing cultivation of soil. The trial was set up in a randomized block design with five replications. The crop was harvested at full maturity. Grain yield (t/ha) was harvested and reported at 14% moisture. Three parameters were analyzed: test weight (kg/hl), 1000-grain weight (g) and grain yield (t/ha). Investigation where showed a considerable variation of grain yield which were in dependence from mineral nutrition. The highest grain yields were the highest with mineral fertilizer in the combined N80P100K60 (4.738 t/ha). Over the two-year period, all investigated treatments of wheat achieved the highest average 1000-grain weight in the combined N80P60 (43.08 g). The highest test weight was the highest with mineral fertilizer in the combined N80P60K60 (73.63 kg/hl). Analysis of variance was found highly significant effect of years on 1000 grains weight.",

AB  - Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je da se ispita uticaj mineralne ishrane na prinos ozime pšenice sorte (Lazarica, Takovčanka, KG 56S, KG 100 i Ana Morava). Masa 1000 zrna kod ispitivanih sorti pšenice značajno je varirala zavisno od genotipa, a najveća prosečna masa hiljadu zrna (45,48 g) ustanovljena je kod sorte pšenice Takovčanka sa kombinacijom đubrenja N80P60K60.
AB  - Investigations were carried out during the 2007/2008 year at the Center for Small Grains in Kragujevac. The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of mineral nutrition on the yield of winter wheat varieties (Lazarica, Takovčanka, KG 56S, KG 100 and Ana Morava). AB  - This paper presents the results of winter triticale varieties (Favorit, Kg20, Trijumf and KG Tempo). The cultivars were grown in the experimental field of the Center for Small Grains, Kragujevac, during three growing seasons. By examining the physical properties of grain, variety KG Tempo achieved the highest grain yield (5.378 t/ha), 1000 grain weight (45.03 g) and test weight (66.56 kg/hl), during the three-year study period. Analysis of the data showed significant components depended grain quality of genotype and environmental factors. The difference between the significance of the impact on the quality of the grain in the cultivars of triticale, was highly significant for grain yield. The differences of significance from the point of impact on the average value of 1000 grain weight were statistically significant, while for test weight were not significant.
AB  - U radu su prikazani rezultati ispitivanja ozimih sorti tritikalea (Favorit, Kg 20, Trijumf i KG Tempo). Sorte su gajene na oglednom polju Centra za strna žita, Kragujevac, tokom tri vegetacione sezone. Ispitivanjem fizičkih osobina zrna, sorta KG Tempo je ostvarila najveći prinos zrna (5,378 t/ha), masu 1000 zrna (45,03 g) i hektolitarsku masu (66,56 kg/hl), tokom trogodišnjeg perioda ispitivanja. Analizom dobijenih podataka utvrđena je značajna zavisnost između godina istraživanja i ispitivanih komponenti kvaliteta zrna. Utvrđena razlika značajnosti između uticaja godine na kvalitet zrna kod ispitivanih sorti tritikalea, bila je vrlo visoko značajna za prinos zrna. Ustanovljene razlike značajnosti sa stanovišta uticaja godine na prosečne vrednosti mase 1000 zrna bile su statistički vrlo značajne, dok za hektolitarsku masu nisu bile signifikantne.
