AB  - Uslovi za proizvodnju soje tokom 2016. godine bili su izuzetno povoljni. Tokom prvog dela vegetacionog perioda padavina je bilo značajno više u odnosu na višegodišnji prosek, dok su u drugom delu bile na nivou proseka, ali uz povoljan raspored. Rezultat ovakvih proizvodnih uslova su rekordni prinosi soje i obim proizvodnje. Nove sorte i linije su zajedno sa standardnim sortama i ove godine testirane u mreži makroogleda postavljenim u svim važnijim regionima gajenja soje u našoj zemlji. Na osnovu rezultata makroogleda sagledane su agronomske osobine novostvorenih genotipova i identifikovani genotipovi pogodni za široku proizvodnju. Sorte iz aktuelnog NS sortimenta soje posmatrane su u tri godine, pri čemu se pokazalo da su veoma različite u pogledu uslova za proizvodnju i izdvojene su one koje imaju najbolju stabilnost, odnosno adaptabilnost na različite uslove gajenja.

AB  - Đubrenje soje, posebno azotom, kao leguminozne biljke kontinuirano predstavlja istraživacki izazov. Primena mikroelemenata, kobalta i molibdena utiče stimulativno na intezitet azotofiksacije, a time i na prinos. Tehnologija gajenja soje u uslovima bez navodnjavanja, uz najbolju agrotehniku na kraju rezultira prinosima koji su pod direktnim uticajem specifičnih agroekoloških uslova. Istraživanje je obavljeno na višegodišnjem stacionarnom ogledu na parcelama Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo. Ogled je bio koncipiran kao tropolje (kukuruz-soja-pšenica). Rezultati obuhvaéeni u ovom istraživanju preuzeti su sa polja soje u periodu 2006-2008. godine. Cilj istraživanja bio je da se utvrdi uticaj vremenskih i zemljišnih uslova, đubrenja preduseva azotom, kao i primene kobalta i molibdena na prinos soje. Podaci su obrađeni analizom varijanse po metodi dvofaktorijalnog split-plot ogleda sa uticajem godine. Značajnost razlike izmedu tretmana testirana je LSD testom. Najviši prinos postignut je u poslednjoj godini istraživanja. Primena najveće doze đubrenja pretkulture (kukuruza) azotom, kad nisu zaorani žetveni ostaci doprinelo je povećanju prinosa za 3,73%. Međutim, to nije bilo dovoljno da bi bilo statistički značajno, kao ni primena kobalta i molibdena nanošenjem na seme uz standardno nanošenje Nitragina.
AB  - Soybean fertilization, especially nitrogen, as well as leguminous plants pose an ongoing research challenge. Application of microelements, cobalt and molybdenum stimulating influence on the intensity of nitrogen fixation, and thus the yield. The technology of growing soybeans in conditions without irrigation, agricultural technology with the best in the end results in yields that are under the direct influence of specific agro-ecological conditions. The survey was conducted on a multi-year stationary trial plots at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops. The experiment was designed as a three-crop rotation (corn-soybean- wheat). The results included in this study are taken from the fields of soy in the period 2006-2008. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of weather and soil conditions, crop nitrogen fertilization, and application of cobalt and molybdenum on soybean yields. Data were analysed using analysis of variance using the method of two factorial split-plot design with the impact of the year. The significance of differences between treatments was tested LSD test. The highest yield was achieved in the last year of the study. The application of the highest dose of fertilizer preculture (corn) with nitrogen when they are not ploughed crop residue contributed to the increase in the yield of 3.73%. However, it was not enough to be statistically significant, nor the use of cobalt and molybdenum seed treatment with standard dispensing Nitragin.

AB  - Protekla godina nije bila povoljna za proizvodnju soje zbog pojave suše praćene visokim temperaturama. Prema nezvaničnim podacima soja je u 2015. godini bila zasejana na blizu 200.000 ha, a ostvareni prosečan prinos je ispod višegodišnjeg proseka (2,5 t/ha). Prinosi su veoma varirali, ne samo u odnosu na različite regione gajenja, već i u istim regionima, zavisno od parcele. Veoma niski prinosi zabeleženi su na parcelama sa lošijim zemljištem, usled propusta u primeni agrotehničkih mera i pojave grinja koje su na pojedinim parcelama izazvale značajne štete na usevima soje.

Pančevo se nalazi u uslovima semiaridnog klimata Vojvodine (južni Banat). Zemljište na kom je izvođen ogled u Pančevu je karbonatni černozem.
AB  - Average yields of soybeans in Serbia in 2013 were at the level of average world yield and was 2.4 t ha-1. In our agro-climatic conditions of the production takes place mainly in natural rainfed conditions. Agro-ecological factors determine the zoning of soybean production with strong specificities of each variety. The trials in order to zoning with six of NS varieties, 0 MG, derived a split plot with three replications, the plots PSS Institute Tamis Pancevo (φN 44 ° 54 ', λE 20 ° 40', 89 msl), in conventional system for the production, in 2013. Pancevo are in terms of the semi-arid climate of Vojvodina (South Banat). The soil on which the experiment worked in Pancevo is a carbonate chernozem.

AB  - Soybean and field pea are the most important legumes worldwide. However, diseases are a strong limitation to obtaining stable yields, among which Ascochyta blight complex is one of the most significant and widespread pathogens. Three causal agents of pea diseases have been described: Peyronellaea pinodes, the most common and most damaging causal agent of blight; P. pinodella, the causal agent of foot rot; and Ascochyta pisi, causal agent of blight and pod spot. Only A. sojaecola is reported as causal agent of leaf spot on soybean. Taxonomy of Peyronellaea and Ascochyta species was the subject of many studies for a long time. Initial identification was based on morphological characteristics, which is difficult because morphological features often vary and "overlap", making it impossible to establish the appropriate taxonomic rank.

NS-Kaća: High-protein, very early soybean cultivar

AB  - NS-Kaća, a new, very early soybean cultivar, has been created at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops Novi Sad by crossing domestic and foreign genotypes. The main traits of the cultivar are its early maturity, which placed it into the 000 maturity group, and excellent technological quality of grain. Due to the short vegetation period, it is primarily sown as the second crop in our country, or as the first crop in northern countries (Russia, Ukraine, Austria, Slovenia) and hilly regions. It provides economically justifiable yield gain during the second crop harvest if sowing is conducted by the end of early July, so each day of sowing delay significantly reduces yield. It achieved significantly higher yields in the multiannual macro- and micro-trials compared to standard cultivars from the same maturity group. Producers are advised to sow 600,000 germinated seeds per hectare. The cultivar is also suitable for narrow-row planting (with inter-row spacing of 12.5 cm or 25 cm), whereby the planting rate can be increased by 15-20%. Seed of the cultivar NS-Kaća can also be used as raw material in the production of products intended for human consumption, thanks to the high protein content which is usually between 44% and 47% (in absolutely dry grain). It is suitable for the production of soy milk and soy milk products, due to its large grain, coated with light-yellow seed coat without mottled appearance, and weak expression of hilum colour same as the seed coat, which provides a natural, milkywhite colour of the final products. Development and dissemination of the newly released cultivar NS-Kaća is a major step forward in soybean breeding, as the cultivar exhibited a significantly higher protein content while maintaining its high-yielding potential, despite the strong negative correlation of these traits.
AB  - Nova, veoma rana sorta soje NS-Kaća stvorena je u Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Novom Sadu, a nastala je iz složenih ukrštanja između domaćih i stranih genotipova. Osnovna karakteristika ove sorte je izražena ranostasnost (grupa zrenja 000) i odličan tehnološki kvalitet zrna. Zahvaljujući kratkom trajanju vegetacionog perioda u našim agroekološkim uslovima, namenjena je prvenstveno za postrnu setvu. Ova sorta ostvaruje ekonomski opravdane prinose ako se setva obavi do pred kraj prve dekade jula. Naravno, svakim danom odlaganja setve bitno se umanjuje prinos. U višegodišnjim mikro i makro ogledima pokazalo se da je znatno prinosnija od standardnih sorti, iste grupe zrenja. Seme sorte NS-Kaća je izuzetno pogodna sirovina za spravljanje proizvoda za ljudsku hranu jer sadrži visok procenat proteina, najčešće između 44% i 47% (u apsolutno suvom zrnu). Takođe, odlična je sirovina za proizvodnju sojinog mleka i mlečnih proizvoda od sojinog mleka jer ima krupno zrno, obloženo bledo-žutom semenjačom bez motlinga i sa slabo izraženim hilumom iste boje kao semenjača, tako da finalni proizvodi imaju prirodnu, mlečno-belu boju.

AB  - Soybean breeding and selection is a continual process designed to increase yield levels and improve resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Soybean breeders have been successful in producing a large number of varieties using conventional breeding methods, the Single Seed Descent method in particular. In recent decades, with the increased use of genetic transformations, backcrossing is more frequent though the only trait that has been commercialized is glyphosate tolerance. Physiological breeding poses a particular challenge, as well as phenotyping and development of useful criteria and techniques suitable for plant breeding. Using modern remote sensing techniques provides great opportunity for collecting a large amount of physiological data in real environment, which is necessary for physiological breeding. Molecular based plant breeding methods and techniques are a conceptual part of any serious breeding program. Among those methods, the most extensively used is marker-assisted selection, as a supplement to conventional breeding methods.

AB  - Stress caused by the drought is the most serious limiting factor in soybean production. Abiotic stress in soybeans cause: water deficit and nutrition and high temperature. The effects of adverse climatic factors, temperature extremes and deficit of precipitation on crop production can be reduced by selecting tolerant varieties, early planting and proper production technology. In the experimental study, the soybean grain yield and protein yield and oil cultivars Galina were examined, in an organic cropping system, the natural water regime and irrigation conditions. Average yields of soybeans ranged from 3,560 kg ha-1 (natural water regime) up to 4502 kg ha-1 (irrigation). In irrigated conditions, grain yield and protein yield was significantly higher than in the variant without irrigation. Research shows that the average increase in grain yield (26.46%) and protein yield (26.18%) in the variant with irrigation were achieved. Oil yield was higher in varieties with irrigation compared to natural water regime but the difference was not significant. Irrigation is desirable effective measure in soybean production in drought years and is a prerequisite for economically profitable soybean production.
AB  - Stres izazvan sušom je najozbiljniji limitirajući faktor u proizvodnji soje. Abiotički stres kod soje izazivaju: deficit vode i ishrane i visoke temperature. Efekti nepovoljnih klimatskih faktora, temperatura i njenih ekstrema i deficit padavina, na biljnu proizvodnju mogu se ublažiti izborom tolerantnih sorti, ranijom setvom i pravilnom tehnologijom proizvodnje. AB  - This paper aims at determining the genotype x environment interactions of seed yield and quality components of NS soybean cultivars under different agroecological conditions. Field trials were conducted in Serbia, during three years (2009-2011). Six soybean genotypes, belonging to different maturity groups were used (MG): Valjevka, Galina, Afrodita (0 MG), Sava, Victoria (I MG) and Trijumf (II MG). The effect of genotype (G), environment (E) and GxE interactions on yield, protein content and oil content were found to be significant (P lt 0.05, P lt 0.01). During 2010 and 2011, significantly higher grain yield per area unit were achieved as compared to 2009. The highest stability of protein content in the whole tested period was found in genotype Galina. The highest seed yield and oil content were obtained by genotype Valjevka. Genotype Galina showed high stability and good performance in all years for seed yield and protein content. Soybean yield was positively significantly correlated with precipitation (r=0.48*) and negatively significantly correlated with temperatures (r=0.52*). Oil content was negatively highly significantly correlated with precipitation (r=0.83**) and positively highly significantly correlated with temperatures (r=0.81**). This study can represent the basis for further soybean breeding.

abstract = "This paper aims at determining the genotype x environment interactions of seed yield and quality components of NS soybean cultivars under different agroecological conditions. Field trials were conducted in Serbia, during three years (2009-2011). Six soybean genotypes, belonging to different maturity groups were used (MG): Valjevka, Galina, Afrodita (0 MG), Sava, Victoria (I MG) and Trijumf (II MG). The effect of genotype (G), environment (E) and GxE interactions on yield, protein content and oil content were found to be significant (P lt 0.05, P lt 0.01). During 2010 and 2011, significantly higher grain yield per area unit were achieved as compared to 2009. The highest stability of protein content in the whole tested period was found in genotype Galina. The highest seed yield and oil content were obtained by genotype Valjevka. Genotype Galina showed high stability and good performance in all years for seed yield and protein content. Soybean yield was positively significantly correlated with precipitation (r=0.48*) and negatively significantly correlated with temperatures (r=0.52*). Oil content was negatively highly significantly correlated with precipitation (r=0.83**) and positively highly significantly correlated with temperatures (r=0.81**). This study can represent the basis for further soybean breeding.",

AB  - At the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, single seed descent method has been used successfully for more than twenty years resulting in 110 varieties registered in Serbia and 54 abroad. Soybean selection has so far focused on the increase of yield, yield stability and developing varieties adaptable to different growing conditions. It also takes into account the customers preferences and the processing industry. This is reflected most notably in our work on increasing and balancing oil and protein content. Recent investigations are aimed to further improvement of nutritional and medicinal properties by researching the activity of secondary metabolites, particularly isoflavone and phytoestrogene.

AB  - Historically, soybean breeding began with a small number of genotypes and can be seen as a recurrent selection for yield. Analyzing allele frequencies in ancestral and elite population for particular region, it is possible to find neutral alleles with significant different frequencies between two populations. Each allele, which has a different frequency in the elite and ancestral population, indicates selection effects in the vicinity of a given locus. Exploring neutral variability in ancestral and elite population, it is possible to find soybean genomic locations which are under selection, actually affecting the yield increase. These parts of the genome are associated with agronomical important genes and can be used in marker assisted selection. Ancestral population was established based on pedigree analysis, which includes last available ancestor. Elite population consist of high yielding varieties that are grown in Central and Eastern Europe, breed at Institute of field and vegetable crops, Novi Sad. Analysis of variability in ancestral and elite soybean population with 50 microsatellite markers, indicate several genomic regions which are under selection. Deviation in allele frequencies from expecting values calculated by pedigree, indicate significant decreases, increases and fixation of alleles frequencies on several SSR loci.

AB  - Trichoderma species have been registered as species with important plant growth promoting potential and antagonistic effect against various phytopathogens. Trichoderma isolates originating from different soil types from the Vojvodina region (Serbia) were screened using dual culture test for their antagonistic effect against the pathogen Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. All tested isolates had high radial growth inhibition (RGI) factors of the pathogen and high colonization percentage. Growth promoting activity of Trichoderma isolates on soybean seeds was tested under glasshouse conditions. Soybean seeds were coated with suspensions of different Trichoderma isolates and seed germination percentage, root and shoot length were measured. According to data analysed in Statistica 10, using Duncan's test, there were no significant effects on shoot length among the tested isolates, compared to the control. The four tested Trichoderma isolates showed significant positive effects on germination, root length and vigour index, while two isolates exhibited no significant effect on any of the measured parameters.
AB  - Vrste roda Trichoderma su poznate po svom antagonističkom efektu na veliki broj fitopatogenih organizama kao i po stimulativnom efektu za rast biljke. Izolati Trichoderma spp. testirani u ovom istraživanju su izolovani iz različitih tipova zemljišta u Vojvodini (Srbija). Test dvojnih kultura je korišćen za testiranje antagonističkog dejstva izolata na patogena Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. Svi testirani izolati su imali visok RGI (faktor inhibicije porasta micelije patogena) i visok procenat kolonizacije patogena. Stimulativni efekat rasta Trichoderma izolata na seme soje je testiran u uslovima staklenika, i sedmog dana su mereni dužina korena, izdanka i klijavost semena tretiranih suspenzijom različitih izolata Trichoderma spp. Svi podaci su analizirani primenom Duncan testa u programu Statistica 10, i ukazuju da nije bilo statistički značajne razlike u dužini izdanaka tretiranih semena i kontrole. Četiri izolata su statistički značajno uticala na povećanje dužine korena, klijavosti i vigor indeksa u odnosu na kontrolu, dok dva izolata nisu statistički značajno uticala ni na jedan od merenih parametara.

Phomopsis longicolla β conidia in naturally infected soybean

AB  - P. longicolla is primarily known as a soybean seedborne pathogen but it can be isolated from all parts of the plant. Atypical symptoms have been frequently noted on the basal parts of soybean stems of mature plants: slightly sunken lesions with irregular shapes and sizes, bordered by a thin black margin with diffusely distributed pycnidia with α and β conidia. Initially, it was believed that the causal agent was the fungus P. sojae, however morphological characteristics of the isolates suggested that the causal agent was not P. sojae. This study was an attempt to prove that, under certain conditions, P. longicolla produces masses of β conidia. Beta conidia were observed for quite some time in the field, but they were believed to belong to P. sojae, which typically forms this type of conidia. However, after isolation from infected plant parts, the fungus formed colonies and reproductive organs which were identical to the morphological characteristics of P. longicolla described by Hobbs et al. (1985). In other words, we found evidence that the isolated fungus was P. longicolla.

Productive and quality characteristics of soybean in agroecological conditions of Sombor, Serbia

AB  - The objective of this paper was to examine and present the results of soybean grain yield, protein and oil content during a two-year period (2009 to 2010) in agro-ecological conditions of Sombor, Serbia. Data were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance, using the method of two factorial trials (variety, year). LSD was used to compare means for significant differences. Significantly higher yields were recorded in 2010 compared to 2009. Average yield amounted to 4,196 kg ha-1 for analyzed soybean varieties, and ranged from 2,889 kg ha-1 (2009) to 5,503 kg ha-1 (2010). The year 2010 was favourable for protein synthesis. The highest protein content was achieved by Bečejka variety (38.38%) and Proteinka variety (38.33%) in 2010. Proteinka had statistically significantly higher average protein content compared to other tested varieties in the two-year average. The tested soybean varieties had average oil content of 20.93%. The highest oil content was found in Sava variety (23.03%) in 2009. Statistically significantly higher oil content was recorded in 2009 compared to 2010, while variety and their interactions had statistically significant effect (p  lt 0.05, p  lt 0.01) on yield and grain quality of soybean. Irrigation and appropriate cultural practices are the only measures that could mitigate limitation factors and increase yields.
AB  - U dvogodišnjim istraživanjima prikazani su rezultati prinosa zrna, sadržaja proteina i ulja u NS sortama soje. Podaci su obrađeni analizom varijanse po metodi dvofaktorijalnog ogleda (sorta, godina). Značajnost razlika testirana je LSD testom. Statistički značajno viši prinosi zabeleženi su 2010. u odnosu na 2009. godinu. Prosečni prinosi, za testirane sorte soje, iznosili su 4.154 kg ha-1 i varirali su od 2.840 kg ha-1 (2009) do 5.467 kg ha-1 (2010). Povoljnija godina za sintezu proteina bila je 2010. Najviši sadržaj proteina u 2010. ostvarile su u proseku sorte Bečejka (38,38%) i Proteinka (38,33%). Sadržaj proteina za sve ispitivane sorte soje iznosio je u proseku 37,03%. Sorta Proteinka imala je, u dvogodišnjem proseku, statistički značajno viši prosečan sadržaj proteina u odnosu na ostale testirane sorte. Prosečan sadržaj ulja, za sve testirane sorte soje, iznosio je 20,93%. Najviši sadržaj ulja u 2009. godini ostvarila je u sorta Sava (23,03%). Statistički značajno viši sadržaj ulja zabeležen je u 2009. u odnosu na 2010. Godina, sorta i njihove interakcije imale su statistički značajan uticaj (p lt 0,05, p lt 0,01) na prinos i kvalitet zrna soje. U aridnim godinama navodnjavanje i pravilna agrotehnika su jedine mere kojima se mogu ublažiti limitirajući faktori i povećati prinosi.

abstract = "The objective of this paper was to examine and present the results of soybean grain yield, protein and oil content during a two-year period (2009 to 2010) in agro-ecological conditions of Sombor, Serbia. Data were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance, using the method of two factorial trials (variety, year). LSD was used to compare means for significant differences. Significantly higher yields were recorded in 2010 compared to 2009. Average yield amounted to 4,196 kg ha-1 for analyzed soybean varieties, and ranged from 2,889 kg ha-1 (2009) to 5,503 kg ha-1 (2010). The year 2010 was favourable for protein synthesis. The highest protein content was achieved by Bečejka variety (38.38%) and Proteinka variety (38.33%) in 2010. Proteinka had statistically significantly higher average protein content compared to other tested varieties in the two-year average. The tested soybean varieties had average oil content of 20.93%. The highest oil content was found in Sava variety (23.03%) in 2009. Statistically significantly higher oil content was recorded in 2009 compared to 2010, while variety and their interactions had statistically significant effect (p  lt 0.05, p  lt 0.01) on yield and grain quality of soybean. Irrigation and appropriate cultural practices are the only measures that could mitigate limitation factors and increase yields., U dvogodišnjim istraživanjima prikazani su rezultati prinosa zrna, sadržaja proteina i ulja u NS sortama soje. Podaci su obrađeni analizom varijanse po metodi dvofaktorijalnog ogleda (sorta, godina). Značajnost razlika testirana je LSD testom. Statistički značajno viši prinosi zabeleženi su 2010. u odnosu na 2009. godinu. Prosečni prinosi, za testirane sorte soje, iznosili su 4.154 kg ha-1 i varirali su od 2.840 kg ha-1 (2009) do 5.467 kg ha-1 (2010). Povoljnija godina za sintezu proteina bila je 2010. Najviši sadržaj proteina u 2010. ostvarile su u proseku sorte Bečejka (38,38%) i Proteinka (38,33%). Sadržaj proteina za sve ispitivane sorte soje iznosio je u proseku 37,03%. Sorta Proteinka imala je, u dvogodišnjem proseku, statistički značajno viši prosečan sadržaj proteina u odnosu na ostale testirane sorte. Review of soybean resistance to pathogens

AB  - This paper presents an overview of the research on soybean resistance to pathogens. The review included most harmful agents of soybean diseases in Serbia, as well as those that are potentially harmful. Development and cultivation of resistant cultivars is the most efficient, economical and environmentally acceptable control measure for plant disease. It points to the variability in pathogenicity (physiological races) of parasites, especially expressed in Phytophthora sojae, Peronospora manshurica and Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea, which requires continuous breeding for resistance. Resistant, partially resistant and moderately susceptible genotypes, which are used as donors of resistance genes to different pathogens, are listed in this paper. Also, avirulent genes in the parasite and resistance genes in soybean are indicated. Gene mapping significantly contributes to better understanding of the mode of inheritance and consequently, more efficient breeding for disease resistance. Significant improvement is expected by using molecular techniques, especially in dealing with Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea and Phomopsis longicolla. For these parasites only partial resistance has been reported but not complete resistance.
AB  - Na osnovu višegodišnjih istraživanja utvrđeno je da su najštetniji i najrasprostranjeniji paraziti soje u Srbiji Peronospora manshurica (prouzrokovač plamenjače), Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea (bakteriozna pegavost), Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (bela trulež), Diaporthe phaseolorum var. caulivora (rak stabla), Macrophomina phaseolina (ugljenasta trulež) i Phomopsis spp. (trulež semena). Postoji realna opasnost da se na soji u našoj zemlji pojave i dva veoma destruktivna parazita; Phytophthora sojae, prouzrokovač fitoftorozne truleži i Diaporthe phaseolorum var. meridionalis prouzrokovač 'južnog' raka stabla. Unošenje otpornosti prema najznačajnijim parazitima u nove sorte soje je jedan od prioritetnih zadataka svih oplemenjivačkih programa. Najpre je potrebno iznaći odgovarajući izvor otpornosti, zatim obaviti povratna ukrštanja i u kasnijim generacijama identifikovati otporne genotipove. Uspeh u radu na stvaranju otpornih sorti soje uslovljen je postojanjem dobrih izvora rezistentnosti, kao i poznavanjem prirode otpornosti i načina nasleđivanja. Rezistentnost prema P. manshurica evidentirana je u više genotipova soje, a najčešće je uslovljena jednim dominantnim genom (Rpm). Ova otpornost je potpuna, ali nije trajna, jer se postepeno gubi usled pojave novih fizioloških rasa. Rasa br. 4 P. syringae pv. glycinea je dominantna na soji u svetu i kod nas. Ne postoje potpuno otporni genotipovi prema ovoj rasi, ali su prisutne značajne razlike u stepenu osetljivosti. Parcijalna otpornost kontrolisana je od strane jednog ili nekoliko Rpg gena. Mehanizmi izbegavanja oboljenja i parcijalna fiziološka rezistentnost uslovljavljaju razlike u reakciji sorti soje prema S. sclerotiorum. Mapirana su dva lokusa koji kontrolišu mehanizme izbegavanja bolesti i jedan lokus, najverovatnije odgovoran za parcijalnu fiziološku rezistentnost. Parcijalna rezistentnost utvrđena je kod nekoliko introdukovanih (PI) genotipova soje. U našim agroekološkim uslovima ranostasni genotipovi izbegavaju napad ovog oboljenja. Nije evidentirana potpuna otpornost prema D. phaseolorum var. caulivora, prouzrokovaču 'severnog' tipa raka stabla. Prouzrokovač 'južnog' tipa raka stabla D. phaseolorum var. meridionalis nije prisutan na soji u Srbiji. Otpornost prema ovoj gljivi nađena je u nekoliko genotipova soje, a uslovljavaju je dva (delimična otpornost), odnosno, četiri (potpuna) major gena. Pripadnici roda Diaporthe/Phomopsis su najštetniji paraziti semena soje, a vrsta P. longicolla je najzastupljenija. Zadovoljavajući nivo rezistentnosti prema ovom parazitu semena poseduje nekoliko genotipova soje. Priroda otpornosti nije u potpunosti razjašnjena, a novija istraživanja ukazuju da se radi o kvantitativnom svojstvu. Brojna istraživanja posvećena su proučavanju Phytophthora sojae (fitoftorozna trulež), veoma štetnog parazita soje. Opisano je više od 70 fizioloških rasa, identifikovani su avirulentni geni (Avr) u pojedinim rasama i pronađeni su geni rezistentnosti (Rps) u sortama soje. Tako je omogućeno uspešno oplemenjivanje soje na otpornost prema ovom parazitu.
