AB - Stability and quality of agricultural production can be ensured by sustainable resource management. Health-safe products, economic benefit, preserving the environment and health can be achieved by organic production. Organic production in the World, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and North Macedonia was analyzed in this research. Agricultural land covers 76 mill. ha which is 1.6% of world land. It is noted a growth trend of the organic agricultural area in 2021 by 1.7% according data collected from 191 countries. The largest organic agricultural land areas are in Oceania (36 mill. ha or 47%) and Europe (17.8 mill. ha - 23%) followed by Latin America (9.9 mill. hа - 13%), Asia (6.5 mill. ha, 8.5 percent), Northern America (3.5 mill. hа - 4.6%) and Africa (2.7 mill. hа - 3.5%). A trend of area growth in 2021compared to 2020 was noted Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, B&H and North Macedonia. The largest increase had North Macedonia (7794 ha, 109.1%), then B&H (2495 ha, 47.5%), Serbia (23527 ha, 21.8%) and Croatia (121924 ha, 12.3%). Great export opportunity of Serbia is in that it has excellent conditions for the growth of organic production, because of its excellent geographical position and good quality land.

AB - Linseed - Linum usitatissimum L. is an important raw material for functional food and medicinal purposes due to its high content of α-linolenic acid (ALA, omega-3 fatty acid), lignans and fiber, in its seed and oil. Linseed or linseed oil аs а functional food ingredient, incorporated into baked foods, juices, milk and dairy products, muffins, cakes, pastries, dry pasta products and meat products for the purpose of sensory enhancer of taste and product quality. Linseed have various properties: antioxidant, immunomodulatory, antimicrobial, antiprotozoal, anti-inflammatory, insecticidal, analgesic, anti-hyperlipidemia, anti-hyperglycemic, antitumors and have effects on disease prevention: GI disorders, cardiovascular, urogenital and respiratory diseases.
Linseed have application in drug formulations. Because of the great importance of linseed, in this study, the productivity parameters of new genotypes of oil linseed: NS Primus and NS Marko are presented. Morphological productive parameters and quality parameters of the tested linseed varieties were tested: plant height, plant weight, number of seed per plants and grain yield. The experiments were carried out on the plots of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in three repetitions and their aim was testing of stability and productivity of these genotype. Genotype had a
significant influence on the examined morpho-productive parameters. By applying the new, improved varietal production technology, we can successfully face the climate changes that are more and more present from year to year, and which certainly determine the direction of future development. The new genotypes of linseed have achieved excellent performance and are recommended for wider production both in
our country and in neighboring countries primarily due to the great technological importance of linseed products.

AB - A strong livestock and cattle production sector is a necessary prerequisite for ensuring a reliable supply of quality food in all developed countries. Recent publications indicate that the global livestock industry is responsible for 14.5% of anthropogenic emissions, with the cattle sector accounting for 65%. Despite contributing to total emissions, the livestock sector has the potential to mitigate climate change by 14% to 41%. It is noteworthy that the livestock production sector is vital to food production, which is fundamental to human existence. However, the accuracy of these estimates is often called into question. There is currently a highly aggressive campaign against the livestock and cattle production sector, and it is essential to ascertain the interest groups behind this campaign and their motivations.

AB - The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of age of cows on variability in mastitis prevalence risk and its concomitant impacts on their successive daily milk yield by analyzing test-day records of dairy cows collected in the period 2005–2022. The results obtained indicate a correlation between the age and breed of cows enrolled in the study and mastitis prevalence risk alongside its concomitant impacts on their successive daily
milk yield. The findings demonstrate a progressive increase in mastitis prevalence risk with the advancing age of cows, notably more pronounced in the Holstein breed than in the Simmental breed. The Simmental cows exhibited a lower increase in daily milk yield, experiencing a substantial decrease in overall yields (namely milk, fat, and protein) in
contrast to the Holstein cows. The primiparous cows of both breeds displayed the highest total increase in daily milk yield. This study underscores the significance of monitoring dairy herd health as a pivotal component of successful dairy herd management. Moreover, the daily lactose content was found a valuable and cost-effective indicator for ensuring the economically and environmentally sustainable operations of dairy farms.

AB - The production of a sufficient amount of quality food is one of the world's biggest problems. Statistics record a significant increase in the human population, with a particularly pronounced trend in the underdeveloped countries of the world, which are also the weakest food producers, which contributes to an uneven ratio in the production of components of everyday food products. The aim of this paper is to carry out a market analysis of the production of wheat and corn for the Croatian market as inputs from which ready-made food is produced and to show the importance of a sustainable production management policy with the aim of reducing production costs. The emphasis of research is focused on models of reducing the fiscal burden of business in order to increase market competitiveness.

AB - The ecosystem is the central object of the study of ecology, while the central object of the study of agroecology is the agroecosystem. Agroecology applies ecological principles in the management of sustainable agroecosystems. Within the agroecosystem, it is very important to know the effect of ecological factors on the members of living communities, especially cultivated plants and soil microorganisms, because the productivity of the agroecosystem depends on them, the possibility of sustainable management of agroecosystems, as well as the protection of all environmental components, especially the water and soil.

Agroekologija primenjuje ekološke principe u upravljanju održivim agroekosistemima. Unutar agroekosistema, veoma je značajno poznavati dejstvo ekoloških faktora na članove životnih zajednica, naročito gajene biljke i mikroorganizme zemljišta, jer od njih zavisi produktivnost agroekosistema, mogućnost održivog upravljanja agroekosistemima, kao i zaštita svih komponenti životne sredine, a naročito vode i zemljišta.

AB - Aiming determination of the variability in the mastitis prevalence risk and the effect of prevalence risk on successive daily milk yield of dairy cows (Holstein and Simmental breed) test-day records collected from 2005 to 2022 were used. As a mastitis risk indicator, daily lactose content was used. The highest mastitis prevalence risk was determined, in both breeds, during the winter period and the lowest during the spring season, with the lower prevalence observed in Simmentals.
The effect of mastitis prevalence risk on the cow's productivity at successive milk recordings was more pronounced in the Holstein breed that experienced the higher increase at the I. successive milk recording and high total increase during the analyzed 4-month period than the Simmental. Observed could indicate better overall health and higher resistance of the Simmental breed, as well as a higher recovery capability from subclinical mastitis of Holstein cows.
