AB - The influence of physical and chemical characteristics of the geological substrate have a significant role on the properties of the soil that is formed on a given substrate. The serpentine geological base is characterized by the presence of an increased amount of heavy metals in the soil. In serpentine soil, the amount of magnesium exceeds the amount of calcium. Such edaphic conditions of habitats impose and encourage the development of structural functional adaptations of plants serpentinophytes, which inhabit these habitats. It is represented on a limestone substrate, ultrabasic serpentines and on an acid silicate substrate. In response to adverse environmental conditions,
plants produce a large number of secondary metabolites whose chemical composition depends on different environmental conditions. Therefore, the results of the research showed that the examined species has mechanisms that enable survival in stressful environmental conditions, in terms of physical and chemical characteristics of the soil.

AB - Linseed - Linum usitatissimum L. is an important raw material for functional food and medicinal purposes due to its high content of α-linolenic acid (ALA, omega-3 fatty acid), lignans and fiber, in its seed and oil. Linseed or linseed oil аs а functional food ingredient, incorporated into baked foods, juices, milk and dairy products, muffins, cakes, pastries, dry pasta products and meat products for the purpose of sensory enhancer of taste and product quality. Linseed have various properties: antioxidant, immunomodulatory, antimicrobial, antiprotozoal, anti-inflammatory, insecticidal, analgesic, anti-hyperlipidemia, anti-hyperglycemic, antitumors and have effects on disease prevention: GI disorders, cardiovascular, urogenital and respiratory diseases.
Linseed have application in drug formulations. Because of the great importance of linseed, in this study, the productivity parameters of new genotypes of oil linseed: NS Primus and NS Marko are presented. Morphological productive parameters and quality parameters of the tested linseed varieties were tested: plant height, plant weight, number of seed per plants and grain yield. The experiments were carried out on the plots of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in three repetitions and their aim was testing of stability and productivity of these genotype. Genotype had a
significant influence on the examined morpho-productive parameters. By applying the new, improved varietal production technology, we can successfully face the climate changes that are more and more present from year to year, and which certainly determine the direction of future development. The new genotypes of linseed have achieved excellent performance and are recommended for wider production both in
our country and in neighboring countries primarily due to the great technological importance of linseed products.

AB - Organic production has a significant impact on human health, animal, food security and environmental sustainability. Pesticide exposures from conventional production may lead to important diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, brains damage, especially in children and certain types of cancer. Epidemiological studies highlight adverse effects of certain pesticides on children’s cognitive development.
Use of pesticides in organic agriculture is restricted. Organic food are abundant with vitamins, antioxidants (vitamin C, polyphenols and flavonoids), minerals and dry matter content. Regular consumption of organic products (fruits and vegetables, dairy products and meat) significant reduces the risk of overweight, of pre eclampsia in pregnancy and allergic disease. Organic meats and dairy products have a higher content of omega-3 fatty acids compared to conventional products and do not contain antibiotics. Due to the reduced amount of pesticide residues and an increased secondary plant metabolites, intake which are found in organic food, there is a reduction in health problems and a positive effect on health.

AB - Climate change seriously threatens food security worldwide, causing extreme weather conditions and reducing agricultural productivity. Increased temperatures and greenhouse gas emissions are the main drivers of these changes. While increased CO2 concentration can enhance plant growth, elevated temperatures and other factors offset these benefits. Therefore, it is essential to consider adaptation measures, including the development of climate-tolerant crop varieties and innovations in agricultural practices to preserve food security in a changing climate. Smart agriculture involves the use of advanced technologies such as climate, soil, and plant monitoring sensors, IoT devices that enable the connectivity of various aspects of agricultural production, and data analytics for decision-making. These technologies enable farmers to better understand environmental changes and respond quickly to unpredictable climatic conditions.

AB - Biljke svojim cvetovima, sokovima i smolama daju pčelama hranu, stvaraju uslove za pravilan život pčelinjeg društva i predstavljaju osnovu za dobijanje pčelinjih proizvoda - meda, cvetnog praha, mleča, voska, propolisa i pčelinjeg otrova. Najzastupljenije medonosne biljke kod nas su: divlji kesten, bagrem, lipa, jorgovan, kupina, facelija, heljda, suncokret, zvezdan, lavanda, neven, žalfija, morač, šafran, itd.
AB - Plants, with their flowers, juices and resins, give bees food, create conditions for the proper life of the bee colony and represent the basis for obtaining bee products - honey, pollen, nectar, wax, propolis and bee venom. The most common honey plants in our country are: wild chestnut, acacia, lime tree, lilac, blackberry, phacelia, buckwheat, sunflower, common bird's foot trefoil, lavender, calendula, sage, fennel, saffron, etc. Bees have a great importance for the living world on our planet, lately it is more and more evident bees' endangerment. This study shows honey plants and effects that pesticides have on honey bees and their productivity. The most common way of contamination is exposure of bees to agrochemicals used for crop protection and their application to crops. The exposure of bees to pesticides is through ingestion of residues found in the pollen and nectar of plants. Due to all of the above, practical advice was given to avoid the harmful effects of pesticides in beekeeping in order to avoid harmful consequences.

AB - The brains of some people seem to be more efficient than the brains of others, but what is the neurobiological basis of human intelligence? The former focuses on identifying genes and genetic loci linked to intelligence, while the latter identifies the macroscopic structure and function of the brain to identify the brain regions involved in intelligence. How the characteristics of brain cells relate to intelligence is a mystery.
However, the development of transcriptomics and cellular neuroscience of
intelligence may offer a third approach and close the gap between genes for
intelligence that have been identified and brain structure and function. We also go over the initial research that indicates a connection between particular brain cell populations and intelligence. Finally, we emphasize how particular genes that have been discovered produce cellular characteristics linked to intelligence and may eventually explain the structure and operation of the involved brain regions. By doing this, the way is cleared for a cellular understanding of intelligence, which will offer a conceptual framework for comprehending how the identified gene constellations support the cellular processes that underpin intelligence.

AB - Plant abiotic stress responses are vital yield restricting aspect in agriculture. Recent technology in plant biology allows research of such stress responses at a molecular scale in plants. Plants responses to abiotic stress are often considered as a complex process. Systems biology approaches allow visualizing and understanding how plant life works to overcome abiotic stress. These technologies have made noticeable contributions to the modern day improvements in our knowledge of plant biology.
So, in this review, omics studies and the system biology approach towards abiotic stress tolerance in plants are highlighted. Therefore, the recent advances in biological sciences, such as transcriptomics, metabolomics, and proteomics, have assisted our understanding of the stress tolerant strategies adopted by plants, which could be further utilized to breed tolerant species.

AB - In the scenario of a new agriculture, breeding techniques are expected to play a significant role in order to increase the sustainability of productive processes from an environmental, economic, and social point of view. Over the past 50 years, new breeding strategies have been developed alongside the integration of various techniques, the development of in vitro techniques, and the development of molecular strategies. The use of New Breeding Techniques (NBTs) based on thorough understanding of the genome of species and varieties will enable the development of new results that overcome the constraints of conventional breeding techniques and their length while minimizing the risks of the first generation of molecular breeding
tools. The use of high-throughput mutant libraries, the development of methods for fine-tuning gene regulation, strategies for breeding virus resistance, and applications of genome editing for trait improvement are all summarized here. We discuss potential applications of genome editing in domestication and synthetic biology of plants, as well as developments in delivery techniques, editing specificity, homolog directed repair, and gene drives. Our discussion of precision plant breeding's promising future in agriculture concludes with a discussion of the challenges and
opportunities facing this field.

abstract = "In the scenario of a new agriculture, breeding techniques are expected to play a significant role in order to increase the sustainability of productive processes from an environmental, economic, and social point of view.
Our discussion of precision plant breeding's promising future in agriculture concludes with a discussion of the challenges and
opportunities facing this field.",

AB - Since the early seventies, winter wheat varieties from the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad have become dominant in Yugoslav production, covering 60-80% of the acreage in wheat. Several varieties, such as Novosadska rana 2, Balkan, Partizanka and Yugoslavia, were, and in some regions still are, the most important. Very often they appear as parents in combinations the progeny of which was used to create new varieties. Fortunately, certain new genotypes from the same cross as Europe, France, Italy (Talent x Novosadska rana 2) covered a large area (40- 50%) during the drought period of 1989-1993. when the development of Puccinia recondita f.sp. tritici was reduced. Those varieties, and Novosadska rana 2 for its part, were the cause of the 1994 epiphytotic. From that time on, their importance in production decreased in comparison with varieties with higher resistance levels.

AB - The trial with sixteen wheat varieties was sown in autumn 1988. in three repetitions. The treatments with Calixin + Tilt (0,3 + 0,3 l/ha), Folicur EC 250 (1 I/ha), Folicur plus (1 l/ha) and Bayleton EC 125 (1 l/ha) were carried out on May 11. Severity notes of powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis tritici), leaf rust (Puccinia recondita tritici), leaf blotch (Septoria tritici) and head blight (Fusarium spp.) have been taken two times before and after treatment.
