AB  - Proučavanje problema zakorovljenosti organskih useva, predstavlja svojevrstan izazov, budući da je u potpunosti isključena upotreba sintetičkih herbicida. Cilj rada bio je da se prikažu rezultati zakorovljenosti šargarepe i crnog luka uz primenu kukuruznog glutena kao dozvoljenog bioherbicida u redukciji korova u organskoj poljoprivredi. Tokom 2014. godine na sertifikovanom organskom gazdinstvu “Dolovac”, ukupno je konstatovano 29 korovskih vrsta iz 15 familija, od kojih su najzastupljeniji predstavnici familija Asteraceae (6 vrsta, 21%) i Poaceae (4 vrste; 14%). Utvrđeno je prisustvo 7 invazivnih vrsta. U biološkom spektru flore dominiraju terofite (72%; 21 vrsta). Najveći broj vrsta (16) zabeležen je u čistom usevu šargarepe i u združenom dvoredom usevu šargarepe i crnog luka uz primenu glutena (15 vrsta). Najmanje korovskih vrsta (8) zabeleženo je u dvoredom združenom usevu šargarepe i crnog luka.
AB  - Researching the problems of organic crops is a challenge, since the use of herbicides is completely excluded. Thus, the aim of the paper was to present the results of carrot and onion weed infestation with the application of maize gluten as an acceptable bioherbicide in the reduction of weeds in organic agriculture. In 2014, on Certified Organic Farm “Dolovac”, 29 weed species from 15 families were found, of which the most frequent are representatives of Asteraceae (6 species, 21%) and Poaceae (4 species, 14%) family. There are 7 invasive species. In the biological spectrum of the flora therophytes dominate (72%; 21 species). The largest number of species (16) was recorded in carrot and in two-sided  intercropping carrot and onion with gluten use (15 species). The smallest number of weed species (8) were recorded in a two-sided intercropping carrot and onion.

Effect of intercropping on the morphological and nutritional properties of carrots and onions in organic agriculture

AB  - A trial involving intercropped and pure stands of carrots 'Nantes' and onions 'Kupusinski jabučar' was conducted on a certified organic farm in Futog. The yield, morphological and nutritional properties of the crops analyzed were determined in the study. Furthermore, the biological efficiency of intercropping was assessed using the relative yield (RYT) and the land use efficiency index (LER). The mixture of crops had influenced the morphological properties examined. In both experimental plant species, the nutritional properties of onions and carrots exhibited a higher content of dry matter (DM) in the double-row growing system without maize gluten meal (onions - 11.42 %, carrots - 10.45 %) compared to single crops. The highest content of β-carotene was determined by alternating single rows of onions and carrots in a plot without the use of gluten (68.94 μg/g DM). The relative yield and the land use efficiency index have shown that there is a biological efficiency of combining carrots and onion as the values obtained are higher than 1. Carrots and black onions are favorable for intercropping because they are complementary, thus interactively contribute to increasing the yield per unit area and improving the nutritional properties.
AB  - Ogled sa združenim i čistim usevima mrkve i crnog luka izveden je na organskoj parceli u Futogu. Određen je prinos sveže mase lukovica i svežeg korena mrkve, utvrđena su morfološka i nutritivna svojstva, a ispitivanjem je ocenjena biološka efikasnost združivanja numeričkim pokazateljima: relativni prinos (RYT) i indeks efikasnosti korišćenja zemljišta (LER). Združivanje useva statistički je značajno uticalo na ispitivana svojstva (masa lukovice, masa korena mrkve, udeo korena mrkve, dužina i broj listova mrkve). U ispitivanju nutritivnih svojstava kod crnog luka i mrkve, veći sadržaj suve materije (SM) kod obe proučavane biljne vrste ustanovljen je u dvoredom združenom usevu bez primene glutena (crni luk - 11,42%; mrkva - 10,45%) u poređenju sa čistim usevima. Najveći sadržaj β-karotena utvrđen je kod naizmeničnog združenog useva sa crnim lukom na parceli bez primene glutena (68,94 μg/g SM). RYT i LER su pokazali da postoji biološka efikasnost združivanja mrkve i crnog luka, jer su dobijene vrednosti  gt 1. Mrkva i crni luk predstavljaju pravilan izbor useva za zdurživanje jer su komplementarni i doprinose povećanju prinosa po jedinici površine i poboljšanju nutritivnih svojstava.

AB  - Na talasima Zelene revolucije donekle je rešen problem hrane u svetu, ali tadašnji konvencionalni nac¢in gazdovanja je davao naznake da će imati negativne posledice u dugoročnom pogledu. Sve izraženiji ekološki problemi zahtevali su promene u načinu proizvodnje i vraćanju nekim tradicionalnim metodama, pri čemu je jedno od rešenja bilo prelazak sa industrijalizovane poljoprivrede na održive sisteme. Permakultura je sistem održive poljoprivrede, koji se temelji na kreiranju održivih ljudskih staništa primenjujući sheme iz prirode. Rezultat je proizvodnja zdravstevno bezbedne hrane po principu održivog načina proizvodnje, koja ne sadrži štetne materije i koja neće imati negativne ekološke posledice. Permakultura svojim metodama i principima nastoji da popravi nastalu štetu i koristi i ona zemljišta koja se inače smatraju neprikladnim za kultivaciju.
AB  - On the wave of the Green Revolution it has been partly solved the food problem in the world, but the conventional way of farming has given indications that it will have negative consequences in the long term period. Strong environmental problems demanded changes in the managing and returning to traditional practices, one of the solutions were transition from industrialized agriculture to sustainable systems. Permaculture is a system of sustainable agriculture, which is based on creating sustainable human habitats by applying the scheme of nature. The result is the food production according to the sustainable methods, which do not contain harmful substances or any negative environmental consequences. Permaculture methods and principles attempt to repair the damage and to use those lands that are normally considered not suitable for cultivation.
