AB  - Suncokret je sve više ižložen negativnim uticajima klimatskih promena, posebno visokim
temperaturama i sušnim periodima, što neretko uzrokuje značajne varijacije i smanjenje prinosa
semena. S obzirom na to da se klimatske promene ne mogu zaustaviti, neophodno je
identifikovati promene u biljci koje omogućavaju prilagođavanje na ekstremne klimatske uslove i
primeniti ova saznanja u procesu oplemenjivanja. Stvaranje novih genotipova tolerantnih na sušu
i sve vrste stresa je prioritet u sadašnjem ali i budućem procesu oplemenjivanja biljaka.
Postizanje ovog cilja zahteva ispitivanje performanši hibrida na više lokaliteta i u ražlićitim
godinama, osiguravajuć i tako pouzdane rezultate i prilagodljivost u promenljivim okolnostima.
Institut za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo, Institut od nacionalnog značaja za Republiku Srbiju, Novi Sad
sprovodi svake godine multilokacijske mikro i proizvodne ogleda širom zemlje, testirajući
adaptabilnost i stabilnost novih i već raširenih hibrida suncokreta u različitim mikroklimatskim
uslovima. Tokom 2023. godine hibridi nove generacije, odnosno dva konvencionalna hibrida (NS
Kruna i NS Ronin) i dva Express (SUMO) hibrida (NS H 8002 i NS H 8005) posejani su u osam
regiona tj. okruga, kod četiri poljoprivredna proizvođača a u svakom okrugu. Imajući u vidu da je u
2023. godini, prosečan prinos semena suncokreta u Republici Srbiji prema procenama iznošio 2,7
-2,9 t/ha, a kada uporedimo ovu vrednost sa prosečnim prinosima u mreži proizvodnih ogleda
osam okruga, jasno se ističe visok kvalitet NS hibrida suncokreta nove generacije. NS Ronin je
ostvario izuzetan prinos od 4,2 t/ha, prati ga NS Kruna sa 4 t/ha, dok su SUMO hibridi NS H 8002
i NS H 8005 postigli prinose od 3,7 t/ha i 3,8 t/ha. Rezultati AMMI analize pokazuju da je za
prinos semena tokom 2023. godine u proseku kroz sve okruge najstabilniji bio hibrid NS H 8002,
sa vrednosć u IPC1 najblizoj nuli. Hibridi NS Kruna, NS Ronin i NS H 8005 su pokazali manju
stabilnost, jer su bili udaljeniji od linije stabilnosti u odnosu na hibrid NS H 8002, ali su ovi
hibridi u proseku ostvarili veće prinose u svim okruzima. Ovi rezultati potvrđuju da novosadski
hibridi nove generacije poseduju izuzetnu adaptabilnost, stabilnost, a pored toga i visok
potencijal za prinos u različitim agroekološkim uslovima širom Republike Srbije.

AB  - Prednost gajenja suncokreta je njegova sposobnost da dobro koristi vodu i hranljive materije iz zemljišta zahvaljujući korenu koji prodire duboko u zemljište, ima dobru usisnu snagu i razvijenost. Prilikom testiranja klijavosti partija semena uočeno je da se u pojedinim godinama kod klijanaca u većoj meri ispoljava nedostatak primarnog korena te je i obavljeno istraživanje sa ciljem da se utvrdi da li ova pojava značajno utiče na prinos, masu 1000 semena i sadržaj ulja tri hibrida suncokreta. Ogled je bio postavljen na dva lokaliteta tokom dve proizvodne godine po split-plot metodu. Parcelice su formirane biljkama razvijenim iz klijanaca sa kompletnim korenom, druga biljkama razvijenim iz klijanaca bez primarnog korena, dok je treća parcelica predstavljala kombinaciju prethodne dve, zavisno od procentualnog učešća klijanaca bez primarnog korena u polaznoj partiji semena. Najveći prinos semena ostvaren je kod useva sa kompletnim korenom, kod hibrida NS-H-111 i Sumo 2 OR i značajno veći u odnosu na prinos useva bez primarnog korena. Masa 1000 semena hibrida NS-H-111 je kao i prinos bila najveća u prvoj varijanti, kod hibrida Oliva u drugoj, dok je kod hibrida Sumo 2 OR najveća vrednost utvrđena kod useva koji je formiran kombinacijom biljaka sa i bez primarnog korena. Značajno najveći sadržaj ulja hibrida NS-H-111 imao je usev bez primarnog korena, dok je kod hibrida Oliva značajno veći bio kod useva sa kompletnim korenom. Kod hibrida Sumo 2 OR značajnih razlika nije bilo. Razvijenost korena je značajno uticala na prinos i komponente prinosa, a utvrđen je i značajan uticaj samog genotipa.
AB  - Sunflower’s ability to make good use of water and nutrients from the soil by means of strong root represents its cultivation advantage. During the seed lots germination testing, it was observed that the lack of a primary root is significantly manifested in seedlings occasionally, and research was carried out with the aim of determining whether this phenomenon significantly affects the yield, 1000 seed weight and oil content of three sunflower hybrids. The experiment was set up on two locations during two production years using the split-plot method. The plots were formed by plants developed from seedlings with a complete root, the second by plants without a primary root, and the third was a combination of the previous two, depending on the percentage participation in the initial seed lot. The highest seed yield was achieved in crops with complete roots, and in hybrids NS-H-111 and Sumo 2 OR it was significantly higher. The weight of 1000 seeds was the highest in the first variant at NS-H-111, in the second variant at Oliva, while the highest value was determined in the crop with and without primary roots at Sumo 2 OR. NS-H-111 had a significantly highest oil content at a crop without a primary root, while in hybrid Oliva was in crop with complete roots. In the case of the hybrid Sumo 2 OR, no significant differences were found. Root development had a significant impact on yield and yield components, and a significant influence of the genotype itself was also determined.

AB  - Klimatske promene značajno utiču na gajene kulture, smanjujući stabilnost prinosa i kvalitet semena. Adaptabilnost suncokreta na promenu klime ima ključnu ulogu u perspektivi gajenja ove kulture u Evropi. Prilagođavenjem besplatne agrotehničke mere kao što je datum setve suncokreta, poljoprivrednici mogu povećati prinose. Cilj istraživanja je da analizira i proceni kako različiti genotipovi reaguju na različite datume setve u uslovima promenjene klime, te da identifikuje najpovoljnije uslove za maksimalne prinose semena, ulja, kvalitet proizvedenog semena i morfološke osobine. Istraživanje je sprovedeno od 2020. do 2022. godine na oglednim poljima Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo Novi Sad. Ogled se sastojao od tri izolacije u četiri ponavljanja sa šest genotipova, kao simulacija semenske proizvodnje osnovne kategorije semena i setrifikovane kategorije semena I generacije. Svi genotipovi su posejani u četiri različita datuma setve sa razmakom od dve nedelje između datuma. Analizom rezultata može se primetiti da datum setve, genotip i njihova interakcija značajno utiču na variranje ispitivanih osobina. Utvrđeno je da povećanje prinosa semena prati povećanje kvaliteta proizvedenog semena u svim datumima setve. Korelacijama je utvrđeno da, smanjenje padavina u fazi nalivanja semena utiče na smanjenje prinosa semena i ulja. Primećeno je da visoke temperature od nicanja do butonizacije imaju negativan uticaj na prinos semena, ali povećavaju visinu biljke, energiju klijanja i klijavost proizvedenog semena. Visoke temperature tokom cvetanja negativno utiču na energiju klijanja i klijavost proizvedenog semena, ali pozitivno na prečnik glave. Prilagođavanje datuma setve može biti pouzdan alat za odgovor na buduće klimatske promene. Pomeranje optimalnih datuma setve (sredina aprila) na kasniji period (početak ili sredina maja) može smanjiti stresne uslove tokom oplodnje i nalivanja semena, rezultirajući većim prinosima i boljim kvalitetom proizvedenog semena, što je cilj svake semenske proizvodnje.
AB  - Climate change has a significant impact on cultivated crops, reducing yield stability and seed quality. The adaptability of sunflower to climate change plays a key role in the perspective of growing this crop in Europe. By adjusting a free agrotechnical measure such as the sunflower sowing date, farmers can increase yields. The goal of the research is to analyze and evaluate how different genotypes react to different sowing dates in conditions of a changed climate, and to identify the most favorable conditions for maximum yields of seeds, oil, quality of produced seeds and morphological characteristics. The research was conducted from 2020 to 2022 on the experimental fields of Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. The experiment consisted of three isolations in four replications with six genotypes, as a simulation of seed production of the basic seed category and the certified seed category of the first generation. All genotypes were sown on four different sowing dates with a two-week interval between dates. Analyzing the results, it can be observed that the date of sowing, the genotype and their interaction significantly affect the variation of the tested traits. It was found that the increase in seed yield is accompanied by an increase in the quality of the produced seed on all sowing dates. Through correlations, it was determined that the decrease in precipitation during the seed-filling phase affects the decrease in seed and oil yields. It was observed that high temperatures from germination to budding have a negative effect on seed yield, but increase plant height, germination energy and germination of the seeds produced. High temperatures during flowering have a negative effect on the energy of germination and germination of the seeds produced, but a positive effect on the diameter of the head. Adjusting sowing dates can be a reliable tool to respond to future climate change. Shifting the optimal sowing dates (mid-April) to a later period (early or mid-May) can reduce stressful conditions during pollination and the seed filling, resulting in higher yields and better quality seed production, which is the goal of any seed production.

Ogled se sastojao od tri izolacije u četiri ponavljanja sa šest genotipova, kao simulacija semenske proizvodnje osnovne kategorije semena i setrifikovane kategorije semena I generacije. Svi genotipovi su posejani u četiri različita datuma setve sa razmakom od dve nedelje između datuma. Analizom rezultata može se primetiti da datum setve, genotip i njihova interakcija značajno utiču na variranje ispitivanih osobina. Utvrđeno je da povećanje prinosa semena prati povećanje kvaliteta proizvedenog semena u svim datumima setve. Korelacijama je utvrđeno da, smanjenje padavina u fazi nalivanja semena utiče na smanjenje prinosa semena i ulja. Primećeno je da visoke temperature od nicanja do butonizacije imaju negativan uticaj na prinos semena, ali povećavaju visinu biljke, energiju klijanja i klijavost proizvedenog semena. Visoke temperature tokom cvetanja negativno utiču na energiju klijanja i klijavost proizvedenog semena, ali pozitivno na prečnik glave. Prilagođavanje datuma setve može biti pouzdan alat za odgovor na buduće klimatske promene. AB  - The introduction of sunflower hybrids into production became possible after the discovery of the CMS source in 1969. The first hybrids were put into production in Romania, Yugoslavia and France at the end of the eighties of the last century. Today, sunflowers are grown on over 28 million hectares in the world, and hybrid seeds are sown on over 85% of this area, the rest of the area is still occupied by open-pollinated varieties. The production of hybrid seeds involved certain specificities. Since the female and male parental lines often do not have the same length of vegetation, they need to be sown at different times to achieve a flowering match. This problem was largely overcome by introducing recessive branching into the male line, which extended its flowering period. The main problems in production are related to fertilization, which can lead to low seed yields. The reasons for poor fertilization lie in incompatibility, low attractiveness for pollinators and other factors. These problems are overcome by finding lines with good compatibility, changing the ratio of the number of rows, increasing the number of hives/ha, but also by using preparations based on pheromones that increase bee visits. A successful hybrid must be good and yielding in seed production too, otherwise its production is not worthwhile.

AB  - Proizvodnja uljane repice u Srbiji prati trend porasta površina pod uljaricama u svetu. Kao najvažniji preduslov za uspešnu proizvodnju i postizanje visokih prinosa neophodno je obezbediti seme visokog kvaliteta i osigurati optimalan sklop biljaka. Kvalitetan tretman semena se pokazao kao najbolje rešenje za zaštitu biljaka u početnim fazama razvoja. Ispitivanja su izvedena na tri sorte ozime uljane repice: Ana, Zorica i Jasna. Seme je tretirano fungicidima sa aktivnim materijama karboksin + tiram i fluopikolid + fluoksastrobin, kao i insekticidom sa a.m. flupiradifuron, a kontrola je bilo netretirano seme. Uticaj tretmana ispitan je primenom standardnog laboratorijskog metoda i nakon 7 dana utvrđeni su klijavost semena i dužina ponika. Klijavost semena u kontroli se kretala od 92% do 93%. U proseku, najveću klijavost imalo je seme tretirano sa fungicidom fluopikolid + fluoksastrobin (94 – 98%). Značajno nižu klijavost imalo je seme sorte Jasna (84%) i Ana (88%) tretirano kombinacijom fungicida karboksin + tiram i insekticida. Dužina ponika je bila statistički značajno najveća kod semena sorte Jasna (18,27 cm) tretiranog fungicidom fluopikolid + fluoksastrobin, koja je i u proseku za sve tretmane imala najveću vrednost ispitivanog parametra. Najniže vrednosti su dobijene kod ponika sorte Zorica (13,39 cm) pri tretmanu fungicidom karboksin + tiram. Za uspešnu proizvodnju treba odabirati tretmane koji imaju pozitivan efekat na kvalitet semena.
AB  - The production of oilseed rape in Serbia follows the trend of increasing areas under oil crops in the world. As the most important precondition for successful production and achieving high yields, it is necessary to provide high-quality seeds and ensure an optimal plant number per hectare. Quality seed treatment has proven to be the best solution for plant protection in the initial stages of development. Test was performed on three varieties of winter rapeseed: Ana, Zorica and Jasna. The seeds were treated with fungicides with a.i. carboxin + thiram and fluopicolide + fluoxastrobin, as well as an insecticide with a.i. flupyradifurone, and control was untreated seeds. The effect of the treatment was tested using a standard laboratory method, and after 7 days, seed germination and seedling length were determined. Seed germination in the control ranged from 92% to 93%. On average, seeds treated with the fungicide fluopicolide + fluoxastrobin had the highest germination (94-98%). The seeds of Jasna (84%) and Ana (88%) varieties treated with the combination of fungicide carboxin + thiram and insecticide had a significantly lower germination rate. The seedlings length was statistically significantly highest in the seeds of Jasna variety (18.27 cm) treated with fungicide fluopicolide + fluoxastrobin, which had the highest value of the tested parameter on average for all treatments. The lowest values were obtained in seedlings of Zorica variety (13.39 cm) treated with the fungicide carboxin + thiram. For successful production, treatments that have a positive effect on seed quality should be selected.

AB  - Promena klime dovodi do ekstremnih klimatskih fenomenima, kao što su: suše, poplave, toplotni talasi, a vegetaciona sezona 2022. godine je bila pravi pokazatelj tih promena. Suncokret je, u 2022. godini u Srbiji, zabeležio jednu od rekordnih posejanih površina na oko 275 000 hektara. Razlog sve većoj zastupljenosti ove vrste na njivama širom naše zemlje su sve češće visoke temperature i suša, koje ova biljna vrsta može bolje da toleriše u odnosu na druge jare kulture. Stvaranje novih genotipova tolerantnih na sušu i generalno stres je prioritet i u konvencionalnom i u modernom (biotehnološkom) oplemenjivanju biljaka. Poznavanje uticaja faktora sredine na rast i razvoj useva umanjuje mogućnost značajnog gubitka prinosa usled pogrešnog odabira hibrida i unapređuje izbor hibrida za gajenje u ciljnim regionima. Upravo iz tog razloga, Institut za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo, Institut od nacionalnog značaja za Republiku Srbiju izvodi multilokacijske mikrooglede koji uključuju novopriznate hibride, kao i hibride koji su već ustaljeni u široj proizvodnji. Cilj ovog rada je predstavljanje proizvodnih rezultata prinosa semena NS hibrida suncokreta u mreži mikroogleda i proizvodnih ogleda koji su izvedeni tokom 2022. godine (ekstremno sušne), kao i preporuka sortimenta za setvu u 2023. godini.

AB  - Ispitivan je uticaj hemijskih desikanata na gubitak vlage zrna i semenske kvalitete suncokreta. Herbicidima Kabuki 2.5 EC (a. i. pyraflufen-ethyl, 1 l/ha), i carfentrazoneethyl, (0,4 l/ha) tretirano je 6 CMS roditeljskih linija. Prosečan sadržaj vlage zrna se kod oba tretmana nije značajno razlikovao od kontrolne varijante. Nije bilo vidljivih znakova sušenja drugih biljnih organa u odnosu na kontrolu. Energija klijanja i klijavost semena ispitivani su 40 i 54 dana posle žetve. Nije došlo do pada semenskih kvaliteta u odnosu na kontrolu. Korišćeni herbicidi nisu pokazali zadovoljavajući efekat u desikaciji suncokreta.
AB  - The influence of chemical desiccants on grain moisture loss and sunflower seed quality was investigated. 6 CMS parental lines were treated with the herbicides Kabuki 2.5 EC (a. i. pyraflufen-ethyl, 1 l/ha) and carfentrazone-ethyl (0.4 l/ha). The average grain moisture content in both treatments was not significantly different from the control variety. There were no visible signs of drying of other plant organs compared to the control. Germination energy and seed germination were examined 40 and 54 days after harvest. There was no decline in seed quality compared to the control. The used herbicides did not show a satisfactory effect in sunflower chemical desiccation.

AB  - The problem of the appearance of abnormal seedlings is often manifested in sunflower seed germination testing. Abnormality is most often caused by a lack of primary root. However, when sown in a field, abnormal seedlings develop into normal yielding plants. The aim of study was to determine whether the seedling type causes a significant decrease in sunflower seeds oil content. The trial was carried out during the two growing seasons, at the Experimental fields of Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops and Zrenjanin Agricultural Advisory Services, according to split-plot model design in three repetitions. A seed lot of hybrid NS-H-111, which had a higher percentage of abnormal seedlings in the preliminary germination test, was selected for the research. Seeds were germinated, and then seedlings were analyzed and separated normal and abnormal. After that, the seedlings were planted into seedling trays first, and when the plants reached the stage of a well-developed first pair of leaves they were planted on the field.

Seed vitality of sunflower inbred lines as influenced by meteorological factors and seed size

AB  - Climate changes inevitably affect plant production, but it is difficult to predict their direct impact on a vitality (germination) of a produced seed. Germination is the most important indicator of seed vitality and a key stage in the life cycle of plants. Seed germination is significantly affected by environmental factors during the growing season, as well as the method of processing (according to seed size). The aim of this work was to determine the impact of three factors on seed germination of four sunflower inbred lines: i) genotype, ii) environment conditions in a production year, and iii) seed size obtained during processing. The germination was examined in a standard laboratory test by ISTA Rules, six months after the processing and natural breaking of dormancy. Larger and smaller sizes seeds, obtained in two consecutive years, which were characterized by different environmental conditions (sum of precipitation, mean monthly temperatures and air humidity during flowering), were used. Collected data was analyzed using a three-way analysis of variance, and correlation analysis. The coefficient of variation was 8.19%. Significantly higher average seed germination was obtained during 2020 (92%,) compared to 2021 (85%). The effect of seed size was not statistically significant, regardless of the tested inbred line. It can be concluded that the increase in the seed germination of sunflower inbred lines is mainly influenced by genotype, but also the increase in precipitation, minimum and maximum air humidity during flowering and the decrease in mean monthly temperatures, which was confirmed by the correlation coefficients between the above agroecological conditions and the germination rate of the produced seeds. / Klimatske promene neizbežno utiču na biljnu proizvodnju, ali je teško predvideti direktan uticaj na vitalnost (klijavost) proizvedenog semena. Klijanje je najznačajniji pokazatelj vitalnosti semena i ključna faza u životnom ciklusu biljaka. Klijavost semena je pod uticajem faktora spoljašnje sredine tokom vegetacije, ali i načina dorade (prema krupnoći semena). Cilj rada je bio da se ispita uticaj tri faktora na klijavost proizvedenog semena inbred linija suncokreta i to: i) genotip, ii) klimatski uslovi u proizvodnoj godini, i iii) krupnoća semena dobijena tokom separacije semena prilikom dorade. Klijavost semena četiri inbred linije suncokreta je ispitana standardnim laboratoriskim testovima po ISTA pravilima, šest meseci nakon dorade i prolaska dormantnosti prirodnim putem. Korišćena su semena krupnije i sitnije veličine, dobijena u dve uzastopne godine, koje su karakterisali različit klimatski uslovi (suma padavina, srednje mesečne temperature i vlažnost vazduha tokom oplodnje). Podaci su analizirani trofaktorijalnom analizom varijanse, kao i koficijentom korelacije. Koeficijent varijacije iznosio je 8,19%. Prosečna klijavost semena je bila značajno viša u 2020. godini (92%) u odnosu na 2021. godinu (85%). Efekat veličine semena nije bio statistički značajan, bez obzira na testiranu inbred liniju. Može se zaključiti da na povećanje klijavosti semena inbred linija suncokreta najviše utiču genotip, ali i povećanje padavina, minimalna i maksimalna vlažnost vazduha tokom cvetanja i smanjenje srednjih mesečnih temperatura, što je potvrđeno i koeficijenti korelacije između navedenih agroekoloških uslova i klijavosti proizvedenog semena.

Može se zaključiti da na povećanje klijavosti semena inbred linija suncokreta najviše utiču genotip, ali i povećanje padavina, minimalna i maksimalna vlažnost vazduha tokom cvetanja i smanjenje srednjih mesečnih temperatura, što je potvrđeno i koeficijenti korelacije između navedenih agroekoloških uslova i klijavosti proizvedenog semena.

abstract = "Climate changes inevitably affect plant production, but it is difficult to predict their direct impact on a vitality (germination) of a produced seed. Germination is the most important indicator of seed vitality and a key stage in the life cycle of plants. Seed germination is significantly affected by environmental factors during the growing season, as well as the method of processing (according to seed size). The aim of this work was to determine the impact of three factors on seed germination of four sunflower inbred lines: i) genotype, ii) environment conditions in a production year, and iii) seed size obtained during processing. The germination was examined in a standard laboratory test by ISTA Rules, six months after the processing and natural breaking of dormancy. Larger and smaller sizes seeds, obtained in two consecutive years, which were characterized by different environmental conditions (sum of precipitation, mean monthly temperatures and air humidity during flowering), were used. Collected data was analyzed using a three-way analysis of variance, and correlation analysis. The coefficient of variation was 8.19%. Significantly higher average seed germination was obtained during 2020 (92%,) compared to 2021 (85%). The effect of seed size was not statistically significant, regardless of the tested inbred line. It can be concluded that the increase in the seed germination of sunflower inbred lines is mainly influenced by genotype, but also the increase in precipitation, minimum and maximum air humidity during flowering and the decrease in mean monthly temperatures, which was confirmed by the correlation coefficients between the above agroecological conditions and the germination rate of the produced seeds. / Klimatske promene neizbežno utiču na biljnu proizvodnju, ali je teško predvideti direktan uticaj na vitalnost (klijavost) proizvedenog semena. Klijanje je najznačajniji pokazatelj vitalnosti semena i ključna faza u životnom ciklusu biljaka. Klijavost semena je pod uticajem faktora spoljašnje sredine tokom vegetacije, ali i načina dorade (prema krupnoći semena). Cilj rada je bio da se ispita uticaj tri faktora na klijavost proizvedenog semena inbred linija suncokreta i to: i) genotip, ii) klimatski uslovi u proizvodnoj godini, i iii) krupnoća semena dobijena tokom separacije semena prilikom dorade. Klijavost semena četiri inbred linije suncokreta je ispitana standardnim laboratoriskim testovima po ISTA pravilima, šest meseci nakon dorade i prolaska dormantnosti prirodnim putem. Korišćena su semena krupnije i sitnije veličine, dobijena u dve uzastopne godine, koje su karakterisali različit klimatski uslovi (suma padavina, srednje mesečne temperature i vlažnost vazduha tokom oplodnje). AB  - This paper analyzed the processed seed of five sunflower hybrid seed developed at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad before and after processing in gravity separator. The cultivars were Pegaz, Duško, NS Fantazija, Sumo 1 PR and NS Oskar. The analysis was conducted on seed lots processed in 2015 and involved the following parameters: seed purity percentage, 1.000-seed weight, germination energy, germination, seed moisture, number of sclerotinia per 1.000. The results showed that all the parameters of seed quality of sunflower hybrids were better after processing seeds in the gravity separator.
AB  - U ovom radu analizirano je seme pet hibrida suncokreta pre i posle dorade na gravitacionom stolu. Hibridi su nastali u Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Novom Sadu i to su: Pegaz, Duško, NS Fantazija, Sumo 1 PR i NS Oskar. Analiza je sprovedena po partijama dorađenog semena u 2015-oj. godini i obuhvatila je sledeće parametre: čistoću semena, masu 1000 semena, energiju klijanja, klijavost, vlažnost semena i broj sklerocija. Rezultati su pokazali da su svi parametri semenskih kvaliteta suncokreta kod svih hibrida bolji posle dorade semena na gravitacionom stolu.

Comparative reaserch of working two treaters during treatment sunflower hybrid seed

AB  - Seed treatment with fungicides is very good way for plant protection. That is esspecialy important in early way of plant growing. Treating of seed with fungicide provide reduce using of pesticides comparing with treatment with sprayer in the field. Fungicide seed treatment should meet several conditions: must have no effect on the biological characteristics of the seed, has to be effective in a variety of growing conditios and must be safe to handle. Sunflower seeds in the seed processing treated with fungicides. Of fungicides for the treatment of hybrid seed is mostly used metalaxil. Seed treatment is last phase of seed processing and seed treater is equipment for seed treating. In this paper work are shown results of reaserch which was done in Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. Aim of this reaserch was to check percentage of pesticide active materials losses during sunflower seed treatment with two seed teaters (B-10 and CC-50). Reaserch was done on four sunflower hybrid seeds NS Fantazija, NS Oskar, Orfej and NS Novak. The best results had seed of hybrid NS Fantazija, because hybrid NS Fantazija have smothness seed pericarp. Analyses of active materials losses shown as that seed treater B-10 had biger losses. This biger losses was expected because seed treater CC-50 it technical improve and better treater then B-10.
AB  - Tretiranje semena fungicidima predstavlja povoljan način zaštite ratarskih kultura od bolesti u ranim fazama razvoja biljaka. Nanošenjem na seme upotrebljava se znatno manja količina pesticida u odnosu na folijarne. Fungicid za tretiranje semena treba da zadovolji nekoliko uslova: ne sme da ima uticaj na biološke karakteristike semena, mora biti efikasan u različitim uslovima gajenja i mora da bude bezbedan za rukovanje. Seme suncokreta se u procesu dorade tretira fungicidima. Od fungicida za tretiranje hibridnog semena suncokreta najviše se koristi metalaksil. Hemijsko tretiranje semena, odnosno njegova zaštita, je završna faza dorade i vrši se na specijalnim mašinama za zaprašivanje semena, zaprašivačima. U ovom radu su prikazani rezultati uporednog ispitivanja dva zaprašivača, B-10 i CC-50. Ova dva zaprašivača se koriste u centru za doradu hibridnog semena suncokreta Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Novom Sadu. Ispitivanje se izvršilo na četiri hibrida suncokreta najnovije generacije NS Fantazija, NS Oskar, Orfej i NS Novak. Najbolji rezultat je ostvaren tretiranjem semena hibrida NS Fantazija, pošto taj hibrid ima gladak nenaboran perikarp. Rezultati ispitivanja su pokazali da zaprašivač B-10 ostvaruje veće gubitke. Lošiji rezultati ovog zaprašivača su posledica starije tehnologije i tehničkih karakteristika u odnosu na drugi ispitivani, centrifugalni zaprašivač CC-50.

AB  - In the conditions of market economy and fierce market competition, a priority for oilcrops seed producers and processors is meeting the high requirements of seed quality. Production of sunflower seed, of the required quality, has to be completed in a short period of time, in order to leave sufficient time for a country-wide advertizing campaign and shipment of the entire seed production to end customers. In addition to these time constraints, seed processing has been simultaneously required to keep improving the quality of processed seed. The paper discusses the tests of several seed quality parameters (test weight, thousand seeds weight, pure seeds, germination energy and germination), for four sunflower hybrids (Duško, NS Gricko, NS-H-111, Rimi PR). The policy of the plant is to process hybrid sunflower seed in lots (a maximum weight of 20,000 kg), each lot originating from a single location. The studied period involved one production year. Quality parameters were observed per hybrids for one machine (precleaning maschine). The results of testing showed that the seed of better quality after passage through the precleaning machine, that are better seed quality parameters at the exit of the machine.
AB  - U tržišnim uslovima privređivanja i ambijentu oštre konkurencije, prioritetan zadatak proizvođača semena uljanih kultura je proizvodnja semenskog materijala koja zadovoljava visoke zahteve kvaliteta proizvoda. Proizvodnju kvalitetnog semena hibridnog suncokreta je potrebno realizovati u veoma kratkom vremenskom periodu, kako bi se na vreme marketinški pokrilo tržište i kompletna proizvodnja semena plasirala do krajnjeg kupca. Pored vremenskog ograničenja dorade, postavljeni su paralelno i zahtevi poboljšanja kvaliteta dorađenog semena. Radom su obuhvaćena ispitivanja više parametara kvaliteta (hektolitarska masa, masa 1000 semena, čistoća, energija klijanja i klijavost semena), za četiri hibrida semena suncokreta (Duško, NS Gricko, NS-H-111 i Rimi PR). Seme hibridnog suncokreta je dorađivano po partijama (max. 20.000 kg) i lokalitetima (mestima proizvodnje). Istraživanje se odnosilo na period u godini proizvodnje, za izabrane hibride. Parametri kvaliteta su posmatrani po hibridima za jednu mašinu (grubi čistač). Rezultati ispitivanja su pokazali da je seme boljeg kvaliteta posle prolaza preko grubog čistača, odnosno da su parametri kvaliteta semena bolji na izlazu iz mašine.

AB  - Seed emergence under field conditions decisively and directly determines the number of plants per hectare, which is one of three basic components of yield in the plant world. Influence of chemical treatment on field emergence of three commercial sunflower hybrids stored in different conditions was tested in 2007 and 2008 on experimental field of Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. On average, hybrid H1 had the highest value of field emergence (88.79%) and for chemical treatment fl udioxonil + metalaxyl + imidacloprid (87.71%). Seed kept in common storage had the highest emergence value in fi eld (87.92%). Seed treated with fl udioxonil + metalaxyl + imidacloprid and stored for one year in common storage had the highest field emergence (90.18%). Considering interaction between storage conditions and genotype, hybrid H1 seed sown after chemical treatment had the highest field emergence (91.82%) and seed kept in common storage (90.48%). Hybrid H1 seed compared with other two had the highest field emergence treated with fludioxonil + metalaxyl + imidacloprid (91.84%).
AB  - Ujednačeno nicanje u poljskim uslovima direktno određuje broj biljaka po hektaru, što je jedan od najvažnijih uslova za postizanje visokog prinosa suncokreta. Tokom 2007. i 2008. na oglednom polju Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo iz Novog Sada ispitivan je uticaj hemijskih tretmana na poljsko nicanje tri komercijalna hibrida suncokreta, čuvanih u različitim uslovima skladištenja. U proseku, najveća vrednost ispitivanog parametra bila je kod hibrida H1 (88,79%) i hemijskog tretmana fludioksonil + metalaksil + imidakloprid (87,71%). Takođe, najveće poljsko nicanje u proseku pokazalo je seme koje je čuvano u skladištu (87,92%). AB  - It is very important to keep the quality of the sunflower seed, which must be kept in the warehouses. The standard treatment of sunflower seed was treatment with the fungicide. New trend for the seed quality improvement is treatment with the insecticides as well. Seed germination energy of hybrid NS-H-111 that was kept in cooling chamber was higher then the energy of seed that was kept in the warehouse for the 4.31 %. This difference was statistically significant. Seed treated with fludioxonil + metalaxil + imidakloprid that was kept in the cooling chamber, has the higher germination energy for 13.5 % the then the seed kept in the warehouse. The difference was highly significant. Seed kept in the cooling chamber had, in average, higher germination for the 3.94 % in relation of the seed kept in the warehouse. In average, for Sremac hybrid, the highest values of seed germination were when the seed was kept in the warehouse. This difference wasn't statistically significant in relation to the other two examinations. The germination energy was higher at fludioxonil + metalaxil + tiametoxam treatment (93.75 %). Investigation of Sremac seed germination in different storage conditions, in average, hasn't any statistically significant effects. The highest germination was at treatment fludioxonil + metalaxil + tiametoxam and its amount was 94.92 %. This is statistically significant difference in relation to fludioxonil + metalaxil + imidakloprid treatment (for 5.09 %). Seed without treatment, which is kept in the cooling chamber, had the highest germination energy.
AB  - Hibridno seme suncokreta, koje je proizvedeno u jednoj godini, često se ne utroši za setvu u narednoj vegetaciji. U svim ovim slučajevima ono se mora čuvati u skladištima, pri tome treba očuvati kvalitete semena. Suncokret se standardno nakon dorade tretira fungicidima. Novi pravac u poboljšanju kvaliteta semenske robe je tretiranje hibridnog semena insekticidima. Energija klijanja semena hibrida NS-H-111 koje je čuvano u hladnoj komori bila je statistički značajno veća u odnosu seme iz skladišta za 4.31 %. Visoko signifikantna razlika ispoljila se kod tretmana fludioxonil+metalaxil+imidakloprid, gde je seme čuvano u hladnoj komori imalo energiju klijavosti veću za 13.5 % u odnosu na seme čuvano u skladištu. Seme čuvano u hladnoj komori imalo je, u proseku, veću klijavost za 3.94 % u odnosu na skladište. Kod hibrida Sremac, u proseku, najveća vrednost energije klijanja bila je pri čuvanju semena u skladištu, međutim ona nije bila statistički značajna u odnosu na druga dva ispitivanja. Kod ispitivanih tretmana najveća vrednost energije klijanja, u proseku, bila je najveća kod varijante fludioxonil+metalax- il+tiametoxam (93.75 %). Ispitivanje klijavosti semena hibrida Sremac u različitim uslovima čuvanja, u proseku nije pokazalo statistički značajne efekte. Najveća klijavost bila je kod tretmana fludioxonil+metalaxil+tiametoxam i iznosila je 94.92 %. AB  - In modern agricultural production, high quality seed which germinates quickly and evenly in different environments is the main requirement for high yields. The research was carried out in the Laboratory for Seed Testing in Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. Two cytoplasmic male sterile lines L-1 and L-2 were used for the research. Seed treatments with fungicides (benomil, metalaxyl and fludioxonil) and insecticides (tiametoxam and imidacloprid) were applied to evaluate effects of chemical treatments and storage duration on seedlings dry matter content. This treated seed was kept in a storage facility where all commercial seed is stored. The first assessment was done after the treatments and had been repeated every three months. Analysis of variance of the tested parameters showed statistically significant effects of chemical treatments and storage duration on seedling dry matter content in L-1 line. In line L-2, statistically significant effect of chemical treatment on seedling dry matter content was observed, whereas the effect of storage duration on seedlings dry matter content was highly significant. Double interactions were highly significant. .
AB  - U savremenoj poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji setva semena visokih kvaliteta, koje je sposobno da brzo i ujednačeno klija u različitim uslovima životne sredine, osnovni je preduslov za postizanje visokih prinosa. Istraživanja su obavljena u Laboratoriji za ispitivanje semena, Instituta za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo iz Novog Sada na semenu dve citoplazmatski muško sterilne forme linije majke: L-1 i L-2. Za ispitivanje uticaja hemijskog tretmana i dužine čuvanja na apsolutno suvu masu ponika seme je tretirano fungicidima: benomil, metalaksil i fludioksonil, kao i insekticidima: tiametoksam i imidakloprid i čuvano u skladištu koje se koristi za čuvanje komercijalnog semena. Ispitivanja su ponavljana svaka tri meseca, a početno ispitivanje je obavljeno neposredno nakon tretiranja semena. Analiza varijanse ispitivanih parametara ukazala je na postojanje statistički visoko značajnog uticaja hemijskog tretmana i dužine čuvanja na apsolutno suvu masu ponika linije L-1. Kod linije L-2 analiza varijanse ispitivanih parametara ukazala je na postojanje statistički značajnog uticaja hemijskog tretmana, a visoko značajnog dužine čuvanja na apsolutno suvu masu ponika. Dvojne interakcije bile su statistički visoko značajne. .

Loss of sunflower seed protectant due to leaching

AB  - Manufacturers of agricultural chemicals supply recommendations regarding the doses to be used. The recommended rates are typically experimentally calculated by determining the minimum effective dose that provides protection against primary infection or pathogen attack and the maximum dose above which the chemical in question becomes toxic for the germ, seed or plant. Most protectants that are presently used for seed treatments are labeled XL, which signifies that they are liquids. When several protectants are used, they are either blended or are applied separately in several layers. The WP formulations, which are in the form of powder, make use of various carriers which come under different brand names, but their common characteristics are that they are harmless for the germ and are chemically inert. The objective of this study was to determine by an analytical method the amount of seed protectants that is washed off from a seed surface during germination and leached into the soil. The moisture causing the protectants to wash off may be resident moisture, which is limited in volume and is stable, or extra moisture coming from heavy rainfall or showers, which is dynamic and which percolates quickly into deep soil layers carrying along the washed off protectants. The seeds that lost their protective coating are prone to pathogen attacks and primary infection. This paper describes the analytical method used to assess the amount of leached protectants and discusses the obtained experimental data.
AB  - Kompanije koje proizvode hemijska zaštitna sredstva za poljoprivredu za svoje proizvode propisuju dozu za korisnike. Do preporučenih doza najčešće se dolazi eksperimentalnim putem, određujući najmanju dozu koja još pruža zaštitu od primarne zaraze ili napada patogena, i najveće doze iznad koje je sredstvo toksično za klicu, semenku ili biljku. Zaštitna sredstva koja se danas koriste za zaprašivanje semena uglavnom se stavljaju u promet sa oznakom XL što znači da su u tečnom stanju. Kada se istovremeno koristi više zaštitnih sredstava za zaštitu semena, nanose se u vidu koktela ili pojedinačno, slojevito. Za WP formulaciju, što znači praškasti oblik hemijskih zaštitnih sredstava, koriste se razni tečni nosači koji imaju različite trgovačke nazive ali su im zajedničke osobine da su neškodljivi za klicu i da ne stupaju u hemijske reakcije (inertni su). U ovom radu pokušalo se analitičkom metodom utvrditi, količina hemijskih zaštitnih sredstava korišćenih prilikom zaprašivanja semena, koja se speru u dublje slojeve zemljišta, sa površine semena posle setve a nakon dodira sa vlažnim zemljištem koje izaziva klijanje. To može biti vlažnost u manjoj količini koja se ponaša stabilno ili dinamična vlažnost koja se pojavljuje usled pljuskova a ponaša se nestabilno i brzo prodire u dublje slojeve, noseći sa sobom čestice hemijskih zaštitnih sredstava. Iz dubljih slojeva čestice pesticida nisu dostupne klijancu u startu te su izloženiji patogenima i primarnoj zarazi. U radu je opisana jedna analitička metoda za utvrđivanje izgubljene količine hemijskih zaštitnih sredstava i široj javnosti su prikazani praktični rezultati.
